Ulfrikssons

Ulvholme is a norse settlement in the mountains of Guildereim. About a two hour ride by horse from The Golden Tether. The settlement is a fort enclosed by tall, war ready walls and a moat. Inside is a self sustaining village that is the home and workplace of the Ulfriksson clan, their allies and guests. The gates are closed to strangers, however one need only ask to be allowed entry. Ulvholme is surrounded by dense temperate forest that turns tropical some distance away from the base of the mountain. The fort overlooks the ocean and the water is easily accessible. There are also several small freshwater lakes and streams closer to the fort.



The Ulfriksson standard is a white standing wolf on a black background. The clan colors are black and white. This symbol and the colors decorate clothing, armor, weapons, jewelry and trinkets. It is used to represent a member of the clan, an ally/friend to the clan, or clan property. Slaves are branded with this sigil. The standing wolf also decorates letters, documents and seals from the clan.



The Ulfrikson clan originated in Denmark, in a bitchin' fort that they held for generations by the sea. The land there was flat, harsh, and difficult to grow a wet shit on. For silver, the Danes like many in their area turned to Viking and was founded on that practice of raiding and murder. This was begun by the first Ulfrik, or as he was more commonly known, "Ulfrik, he who throws babies in the air and catches them on spears".

Recently, another clan of Danish raiders called Völsung took a shit all over their old fort. Some escaped, but many were killed or captured. This has created a blood feud among the remaining Ulfriksons, and most migrated to the island of Guildereim to make coin in the arena.

After some successful raids and months of bleeding like a menstruating elephant in the harsh pit of the Tether, land was purchased. A sizable plot near the mountains, where there was at least a chill during the winter. It was purchased with gold from the brothers savings, and a Mongolian source. This hall has been named Ulvholme, a tribute to their standard of a wolf, and their location on an island much greater than their clan.
