A large, beautiful wood and stone building built in the late 19th century. It is up in the Blackwood Pines mountains. Inside is just as breathtaking with oak wood furniture, dazzling fireplaces and chandeliers, ornate paintings and many more. There are seven floors in this hotel, on every floor at least fifty rooms.

The Living Room is what you first walk into in the lodge, it's grand, magnificent even. With comfortable seats, a fireplace, chandeliers and some animal fur hung up on the walls. In the center is a large, round check-in desk, where they also serve tea and coffee.

The Dining Room and Kitchen are two rooms joined together, separated by only a pair swinging, wooden doors. The dining room is much like the living room, except more larger and has tables. The kitchen is always busy making delicious food, but on some occasion they use unknown meat and dark red sauce that no one can ever identify.

The Bedrooms are small but cozy and en suit. They have a small TV a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and much more. Every room is the same, apart from the honeymoon suit... but the door to that room is always mysteriously locked, and during the night strange noises are heard from there throughout the lodge.
The Hallways are also rather stunning, with paintings and stuffed animal heads on either walls. However during the night it can be quite scary.

The Basement is somewhere that is strictly forbidden. Only the lodge's manager and staff have access to it. There are always strange sounds coming from behind the iron door. If one would listen closely, it would sound like muffled crying and buzzing of flies. There is also a very fowl odor surrounding that door..
Bella was so glad to get off of the bus, despite have read, slept or listened to music most of the journey, she was exhausted - and she had the dark circles to prove it! She had been right at the back, sitting by the window, next to one of many of her annoying classmates. Taking off her headphones so that they dangled from her neck above her navy woolen scarf, the first thing that hit her after she stepped on the snow clad ground was how cold it was. Shivering, she rubbed her hands together, her breath coming out like a cloud from her chapped lips. "Jesus Christ..." She muttered sourly, pulling a face as she made her way to the center of the driveway in front of the lodge, her boots crunching softly against the freshly fallen snow. The building was huge and old and looked menacing against the grey sky and trees that surrounded them. The tall, skinny boyish looking girl wrapped her arms around herself, trying to stop from shaking, it was bad enough that her teeth had started to chatter.

She had been kind of excited for this trip, a couple of days up in the mountains? Sure! But then the teachers had to go drop a 'We're Going To Spend Time Together and Do Team Building Stuff and Your All Gonna Like It' speech. To be perfectly honest, Isabella would have been completely content to just stay in a room, cozy up next to a fire with a cup of hot-chocolate and a book. It's not that she didn't like all of her classmates, she was fond of a few, she just didn't like people in general. Ever since she was little she would rather stay somewhere quiet and study or listen to music, which is probably why she didn't have many friends, not that she really noticed. With a sigh and a huff, she adjusted her backpack, kicking at the snow, impatiently waiting for everyone else.
"Alan! Look, we're here!" excitedly screamed Alan's little sister Kirsten.

The spunky ten-year-old was practically bursting with excitement as she gazed at the world outside their little bus. Alan stood up and adjusted his coat. "Alright! Let's go!" He took her hand and led her off of the bus, making sure to tighten her oversized winter coat even more once they stepped onto the snow.

"Alaaaan. I can't breathe!" she whined as she struggled in her clothes. "Just bear with it a little, okay? Mom will kill me if you catch a cold." He replied with an apologetic look.

As they proceeded into the driveway, they noticed a girl standing by herself. "Alan, who is that girl?" whispered Kirsten. "That's Isabella. Want to say hi?" Kirsten nodded softly and they both approached her, Kirsten only being able to waddle in her oversized coat.

"Hi there, Isabella." said Alan with a small wave.

(Hope you don't mind them approaching her like that. I figured since they're all classmates, they should at least know each other to some extent)
Just as she was about to put her headphones back on, Bella was interrupted by one of her classmates and his little sister. She didn't know how to act around kids: she didn't have any younger siblings and had never been surrounded by kids in her entire life, so whenever she was in a situation with kids, she was always rather awkward and wooden. She ran her hand through her hair, pushing her bangs out of her eyes, meeting Alan's gaze and nodding her head.

"'Sup," She buried her hands in her overcoat pockets, chewing the inside of her cheek, thinking of what to say. "I thought we'd never get off of that bus." She mumbled, casting an unhappy gaze towards said bus. Still kicking at the ground she looked towards the little girl. "So, what do you think of brother's class? Pretty loud, huh?" She had said more in the span of two minutes than she would have usually said in an hour, which for her, was quite something.
Kirsten nodded and smiled bashfully. As much as she liked making friends, her shyness usually got the best of her. "I-It's good..." she mumbled. Alan squeezed her small hand and smiled. "No need to be nervous. Isabella's a friend." he said reassuringly. She smiled a little and took a step towards Isabella before bowing her head respectively.

"M-My name is Kirsten. I hope we can be friends." she said with a little more confidence. But then she began to ramble. "Thank you for being Alan's friend. He's really kind and thoughtful and he always gives me candy. He even lets me play video games sometimes. I'm really bad at action games, so he helps me out a lot. It's a lot of fun. He also sneaks me extra cookies after he cleans up the dinner table, but sometimes he karate chops me on the head when I try to steal cookies before dinnertime."

Alan rubbed the back of his neck. "Uh..well..."

"But besides that he's a great person. I know he's a scatterbrain and a scaredy-cat and he sometimes wets his bed after watching scary movies..."

"Kirsten!" he exclaimed all of a sudden, his face noticeably pink, but not from the cold. "C-Come on, don't say anything unnecessary out of the blue like that!"

Kirsten opened her eyes and stood straight again. "Oh, sorry, was I talking a lot again? S-Sorry. Um, well my name is Kirsten. Nice to meet you." she said as she extended her hand.
Isabella raised an eyebrow when Alan mentioned her as a friend. Sure, they got on but she wouldn't exactly call him a person she'd hang out with. But then again, I don't hang out with anyone so it's a lose-lose situation, she reminded herself.

She rubbed her arms, trying to get warm as best she could whilst trying to keep up conversation, which was a lot more difficult than she had originally anticipated. But it turned out someone above was smiling down on her and giving her a lucky day. As the little girl started to talk, her awkward facial expression changed to one of pure amusement. Her eyes kept flicking from Kristen to Alan then back again. Who knew kids could be so adorable? It also made her glad that she didn't have any sisters or brothers, otherwise she could have ended up the same as her 'friend.' With private things now out in the open.

By the end of Kristen's little introduction, the short haired girl was trying her best not to burst out laughing, hoping to save some of her classmates embarrassment. She stretched out her hand, bending down a little so she could look the girl in the eye. "Nice to meet you, Kristen. You can call me Bella, or whatever." She shrugged, pulling away and stuffing her bony hands into her overcoat pockets. "Maybe the class should watch some horror classics, it'd be fun, what do you think?" She asked the younger girl, pointedly throwing a smirk in Alan's direction
Kirsten smiled happily and stifled her giggles with her hands. Alan's shoulders sunk in defeat.

"You guys aren't gonna let this go anytime soon, are you..." he sighed.
A staff memeber came up to the three. "Ahh I see we have guest arriving all ready." She said. "Hello kids my name is astride and I will be taking you guys to your rooms." She said with a creepy smile.
Kirsten squeaked and quickly hid behind Alan's leg while cautiously peeking out from behind him.

"Uh...h-hello there..." Alan said with an uneasy smile. This woman just defined creepy, he could tell with a glance.
"Hello" she said. "Oh don't be afraid I'm not creepy sorry I just have a habit of doing that" she says as she gives a welcomeing smile. "So who's ready for the best time of their lives we even have cookies" she said pulling something out of her pocket. "Or a lollipop" she said giving the girl a lollipop.
Isabella had a mischievous glint in her eye. Maybe this would be fun after all! She wasn't one to prank, but this was too much of a golden opportunity to just let slide. But she'd probably grow bored and return back to her books.

She had already been thinking out a miniature plan before her thoughts were interested by Astride, a staff member from the lodge. She seemed quite creepy and it gave Bella the chills. She frowned, crossing her arms over her chest in a defensive manner however relaxed ever so slightly at the mention of cookies, her eyes widening with delight. She was known to have quite the sweet tooth.
Black boots stepped off of the bus, a yawn leaving their owner. Lilah rubbed her eyes as she looked up at the lodge, smiling a little before looking at the small group of people. "Sorry, sorry. Long rides always put me to sleep." She apologized softly, pulling her backpack onto one shoulder. Moving closer to them, her dark eyes went over the employee of the lodge, a shiver running down her back as she looked into her eyes. 'Creepy indeed...' She thought to herself, standing next to Isabella.

In school, Lilah was normally to herself in school and she preferred it that way. But at the moment, she felt like she needed to stay close to the group. If something happened, it would be a fool move if she was by herself. Lilah ran a hand through her hair, looking at the snow on the ground as she waited. "I don't know if that's a good idea, ma'm. In fact, it's a little shady for me if your offering candy to a little girl..." She said suspenously, rubbing her arms as she looked at Alan and his sister. "Why don't we go inside, please? We might turn into icicles before the cookies become cold."
Kirsten's eyes just about glazed over at the mention of sweets, but Alan quickly put a hand on top of her head protectively.

"No thank you. I have plenty of food for her." he explained while looking at her accusingly. He nodded in agreement with his classmate that approached them.

"Yeah, I think we should head inside. I don't want Kirsten to catch a cold."
"Okay" she said as she put the cookie away. "Follow me then" she said as she led them inside to there rooms. "Pick one anyone" she siad
Alan nodded to the woman, who he still had mixed feelings about. Kirsten began tugging and straining to get the over-sized coat off of her. You'd swear she was a little teddy bear with how little of her actual body could be seen.

"Then, without further ado..." Alan said before he began to inspect some of the rooms. "I think we'll take this one-"

Kirsten suddenly tugged at his pant leg. He turned and looked down at her. She was still wearing the coat, obviously having failed to take it off. "Hm? What's up?" he asked. Kirsten nervously looked back at Isabella.

"C-Can we get a room next to Bella, please?" she asked bashfully. Her face, though barely visible due to her coat, carried a certain pleading cuteness that struck him like a bullet to the heart. There was no way anyone, let alone him, could resist such a face. He'd lost count of how many times he'd fallen victim to Kirsten's adorable begging face.

Alan smiled at her. "Of course, Kirsten." They headed back over to the group. "Hey, Isabella. Kirsten wants to be in the room next to yours, so we'll wait for you to choose if that's okay." he said with a smile. Kirsten blushed slightly and buried her face into Alan's leg when he mentioned her.
