Name meaning
Nakusha's name comes from two different origins:
Nakusha, or Nakushi, is a derogatory given name that means "unwanted" in the Indian language Marathi.
Cosette: Literary name derived from an Old French slang word (cosette) for something small and trivial, meaning "little thing of no importance." Victor Hugo gave this name to the illegitimate daughter of Fantine in his novel Les Misérables.

Nakusha was a mistake. She was an unwanted child, that wasn't supposed to be born. Her mother was of Indian origin, and her father of French descent. Her parents were not married. They met at a party one day, where they drank too much and things happened. After that night they agreed to never see each other again, that is until her mother found out she was pregnant. Her parents were just out of high school, and agreed they could not support a child. They decided getting an abortion would be the best thing. However, they couldn't find anyone to do it, so Nakusha was born anyways. But they still didn't want her. They tried to give her up for adoption, but somehow never could. It wasn't for lack of trying though. After that failed, they actually tried multiple times to kill her. Each time she somehow magically survived. Eventually, when Nakusha was 3, they gave up. She had been unamed up until this point, when her parents gave her the name she bares, showing how unwanted she was. The longer her parents were forced to take care of her, the more they hated her. They were quite abusive toward her, especially when she did nothing to deserve it and took it meekly. When Nakusha was 6, they were done. They took her to a forest where they abandoned her to live alone, finally rid of the daughter they didn't want. However, in one last act of hatred, her father tattooed the French word "abandonné" on her right wrist, showing how she was forsaken.
Nakusha spent the rest of her childhood in that forest, forsaken by the world. The days she would venture out and try to find someone somewhere who cared for her and would take her in, she was always driven back into the forest. The tattoo and the scars given to her by her parents were a constant reminder that nobody cared about her, and never would. As long as those were visible, she would never have a chance at a new life.
However, at the age of 15, Nakusha managed to sneak into the city one day, where she stole some clothing. A new shirt, pants, boots, and some gloves. Now able to conceal herself, she ventured back into the forest and off to a new city, in search of a new life. She found a sweet old couple that took her in. She never allowed them to see any part of her skin that held the scars, or tattoo. Now, at 16 years old, she still lives with them, yet hides from them and the world.
Clothing
Nakusha's clothing varies some, but she always has her right wrist as well as her abdomen and back covered. Be it by a long sleeved shirt, fingerless gloves, or whatever. She wears either shorts, pants or a skirt, rarely ever a dress.
At 16 years of age, she has had less than a year of schooling.
Can anyone show this child, there is more to life than hatred and hiding? Will she ever be loved?
Abilities
Nakusha has the ability to make her wings appear and disappear. She has the ability to fly when they are out. She has the power to heal others of any physical disease, and she can heal herself to a certain degree, something which has kept her alive through her early life. She also has the ability to control light to some degree. Because of spending her life in the forest, she has the ability to communicate with most of the creatures that live there.
