THE FATHER

Gender: Male
Nicknames: Pilot, Mr. Space, the Authority on Space
Race: Human
Class: Space Pilot, adoptive father and guardian of Roseria.
Alignment: His loyalty can be bought if Roseria's life is in danger.
Deity: Let's just say he's keeping his option opens, agnostic.
Age: 27
Body Type: Athletic, a bit on the bulky side.
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 290lbs
Complexion: Fair
Hair: Short, dirty blond. Often covered in a military styled cap. He has a thick beard and mustache
Eyes: Kind, caring. A unique mixture of a dark, navy blue, crimson, and forest green.
Handedness: Left
Relationship Status: Single
Likes: Space, Roseria, studying, his ship, astronomy, exploration, eating, sweets, animals, and his pet gorilla.
Birthplace: Salina, Kansas
Date of Birth: January, 29th 3861

A tall, well built individual that is notable for wearing a long, navy blue cloak over a white tank top, blue slacks, and black dress shoes. His hair is short, often parted on the right, a dirty blonde color, and is often covered with a navy blue hat, it seems like it's military styled. His eyes are a kind, unique color that are pleasing to look at. He wears a pair of glasses to aid in his ironically poor vision. He has a tattoo of the planet Jupiter on his back, and a star tattoo on his chest. He has a rather impressive beard and mustache that he is most proud of.

Ray is a highly intelligent, yet closed off individual whom has little in common with anyone. He enjoys studying and flying in his prized ship, the U.S.S Kansas. He prefers to be on his own while he flies or studies, only interacting when he is required to do so; such as when he goes for meetings with his crew members and when he must speak with his commanding officer. Despite his closed off nature, he is kindhearted and caring towards others, though it takes him awhile to open up to other people. While he is generally calm and caring, he's been known to fly into fits of rage whenever Roseria comes in danger. He is shown to have a rather goofy relationship with his pet gorilla. He is extremely dense, completely unaware of what romance is. What would one expect from a pilot that's been flying through the cosmos for almost ten years? Ray has a rather cliched sense of justice.

He has a strange, unknown condition that occasionally causes scars to appear randomly on his body for reasons unknown. While he wasn't the most careful person, he wasn't the kind to get hurt often. He'd never really questioned it due to the fact that his training was quite strenuous and numerous trainees left the academy with more scars than they entered with. These scars aren't painful, but they can often lead to misunderstandings between himself and other people. However, it seems they just suddenly stopped occurring, so there's no telling if the scars were just a childhood disease or if they're just recurring.
THE PET GORILLA

Gorilla-dream.jpg

Age: 10
Gender: Male
Species: Eastern lowland gorilla (Gorilla beringei graueri)
Name: Donkey Kong
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 312lbs

History: Prior to leaving Earth for the first time, Ray decided he'd go to the local pet store in hopes of purchasing himself a friend for the journey. While most people would just adopt a cat or a dog, perhaps maybe a bird, Ray decided to go above and beyond and adopt the gorilla that this strange pet shop had for adoption. The two have pretty similar personalities, so it seemed right. He ended up naming the gorilla Donkey Kong in honor of one of the most famous video game characters who had become a legend by his time. Upon meeting Roseria, he'd become just as protective of Ray's adopted daughter, going as far as injuring a scientist that tried to take her away from Ray.
THE DAUGHTER

Gender: Female
Nicknames: Rosey, Rose, Kiddo, Sweetheart (Only by Ray)
Race: Fox Demon
Class: Traveler
Alignment: Lawful Good
Age: 7
Body Type: Small, childlike, petite.
Height: 4'0"
Weight: 65lbs
Hair: Long, golden hair that ends just below the base of her neck.
Eyes: Kind and caring, amber colored eyes.
Complexion: Fair
Birthplace: Presumed to be Northern Kitsiasia of Insel-Fuchse of Majoria.

Roseria is a short, happy looking child that can often be seen sporting a golden colored kimono with a crimson rose pattern dotting her silky outfit. Wrapped around her waist is a silver ribbon gifted to her by her adopted father. Her hair is rather long, a beautifully golden blonde color that reaches to the base of her neck. Her eyes are a deep, amber color that hold absolute innocence. The child can often be seen wearing a warm smile on her face, a silver ribbon worn in her hair, and a pair of brown sandals if she chooses not to go barefoot for the day. On her head are a pair of fluffy, golden fox-like ears, in addition she has a fluffy, golden fox-like tail.

She has a naive, sweet, and kindhearted personality. She is rather playful and often times will put aside her tasks so she may play with her clan members. Despite this, once she gets to work, she'll become extremely serious, often taking great pride and care into it. Thanks to her childish appearance and personality, people generally don't take her serious.
HISTORY

Ray was born and raised in Salina, Kansas. Since the early 2000's, Salina has grown from a small town in northern Kansas to a technological center of the United States and of the world. Thanks to innovative technologies in space travel and research, Salina has become a world renowned place to start up astronomical research firms. Just south of Salina was Kansas City, the place where the first intergalactic ships were built; specifically the prized ship of the United States, the U.S.S Kansas. This ship is considered to be eons ahead of any currently known ship and is currently under the ownership of it's engineer, concept designer, and pilot; Ray Andromeda.

As a kid, Ray was always a straight A student, his grades and benchmarks were so high, he actually graduated high school before he even turned seven, graduating college just four years later. After earning his degrees in astronomy, engineering, aerospace technology, and piloting; Ray began working on a ship that many believed was impossible and some even mocked the brilliant Ray for his insane ideas.

Those very people that mocked him would soon regret their mistake as his insane idea became a reality. It created several milestones for mankind. It was the largest vehicle ever created by mankind, being nearly three times as large as the average football field. It broke the light barrier, something that was previously though to be impossible; in fact, it goes at over six times the speed of light. Ray was praised and even approached by the United States for his feat. Impressed with him, they made Ray an offer; unlimited research grants and privileges that few had if he did research for them. Specifically, they sent him out towards a distant solar system that supposedly harbors life. Out of his love for flight and astronomy, Ray took that offer with little to no hesitation. He was being paid to take a flight through the endless cosmos sounded like a dream come true to him.

After turning just twenty years old, exactly 2020 years after Kansas had joined the Union, he set off for the strange star system. During this long and wonderful journey, he begun detecting strange signals from a surprisingly close star system. From a distance the planet's surface had six large pieces of land and countless islands. Deciding to do some surveying of the strange world, he decided to land on an small group of five separate islands, landing on the easternmost portion of the island completely unprepared with what was to follow.

As he began exploring the mostly forested area of the strange island, he'd come across something completely unexpected. He'd come across a malicious human seemingly running with a child that a pair of fox ears and a tail. Confused, but admittedly concerned for what was going to happen to the kid, he intervened and decided to take action, swiftly subduing the human while taking the child into his own protection. Unsure of where she came from, Ray decided it'd be best if he took care of it, he didn't know where her family or if her family was even alive at this point. Unknowing to him, this decision would be his most proud in the years to come. Deciding to name the child Roseria, he left Majoria and continued on his trip towards KS-1291861 with this little fox.

Upon bringing the child onto the ship, numerous of his scientists were quite eager to do some studies on the girl, figuring they'd finally have a chance to study some extraterrestrial life. These requests were almost immediately shot down by the captain, feeling it'd be wrong to let this poor child become nothing more than a test subject. Despite his refusal to let Roseria be tested on, there were many attempts at trying to separate the two who seemed to have immediately developed a strong bond between one another. Each of these attempts were met with often times violent reactions from Ray. After the first death of one of the scientists aboard, they had abandoned their attempts at experimentation with the child.

As the years went by, Ray learned to love the child as if she were his own, he treated her like she was his one and only begotten child, protecting her with every ounce of her soul. Despite the differences in their species, Roseria looked up to Ray as if he was her father, never leaving his side out of fear of being taken away from him. She was always seen helping him with his studies, sleeping with him, sitting with him as the ship flew about the cosmos. The two shared every possible moment together. Ray protected his adopted daughter while Roseria provided her father with plenty of happiness and comfort. The two shared a bond that would likely never be broken, or at least they hoped it would never be broken.

Currently, Ray and his beloved daughter were back on course towards KS-1291861 like planned, they hoped to finish this adventure together and return to Earth so that Roseria could live in peace. They are both quite eager to see what these planets hold in store for them, though they are both rather nervous about returning to Earth. Seeing how the scientists had first reacted to seeing Roseria, Ray feared the same thing would happen at home, so a trip back to Earth may not be a safe option. In addition, Roseria has made it her life mission to find her father someone he could love and potentially marry, she desires a motherly figure that won't try to experiment on her for once.

Water?: It exists in the form of water vapor.
Distance from Sansak: 43.2 million miles.
Moons?: One
Rings?: No
Length of Orbit: 162 Earth days
Length of Day: 52 Earth hours.

Olathe is a stormy, suffocating planet with a thick, suffocating atmosphere. It's atmosphere produces so much pressure, that the average adult human would be crushed to death in just a matter of seconds. Frequent methane rains occur on the planet's surface. It caught astronomers' eye after noticing striking similarities between Olathe and Saturn's moon, Titan.

Surface Temperature: Average daytime temperature of 67°F, average nighttime temperature of 35°F.
Life?: Yes, it is comparable to the early Carboniferous period on Earth. Example; giant arthropods and early
Water?: Yes, the planet has water present in all three forms. The surface is roughly 62% water.
Distance from Sansak: 85.2 million miles
Moons?: Three
Rings?: No
Length of Orbit: 324 Earth days
Length of Day: 27 Earth hours.

Wichita is a curious planet and is initially what drew interest towards KS-1291861. The planet has an atmosphere rich in oxygen, has plenty of water, and is sitting in a perfect spot for life to form, as such there has been extensive research on the planet.

Wichita has life that is comparable to life during the Carboniferous period on Earth. Giant arthropods are common and early reptiles are common as well. Some notable creatures are massive scorpions that are as large as the average car. Large spiders, dragonflies, and other insects are common. Though, there is one that stands out in particular; a massive turtle like creature that's as large as a small continent.

Just a few examples of life.

Megascorpio: A large scorpion that is equal in size to an average truck. It's pincers are strong enough to be able to tear a small tree right out of the ground and its stinger is capable of delivering a potent toxin. This toxin attacks the circulatory system, causing the blood to clot in various places and eventually it causes the body to go into cardiac arrest, and more often than not; death.

Arachne: A spider that's as large as the average adult German Shepherd. This spider is slow, but it can deliver a painful and lethal bite that is capable of killing an average adult human with little difficulty. The toxin causes nerves to sort of just break down and causes them to stop functioning, effectively shutting the body down in a slow, painful process.

Megapede: A large centipede like creature that is as large as a school bus. These creatures are protected by a strong exoskeleton that provides plenty of protection from the various predators. However, the exoskeleton does limit movement quite a bit and they are vulnerable if they're on their backs. They can deliver a painful bites; and while they are painful, they generally aren't deadly.

Continental Tortoise: Arguably the most impressive of the creatures found on the planet. These hulking beasts can grow to be as large as a small town and weigh as much as five thousand blue whales. They are generally sedentary and will only move once the nutrients in the soil around have been completely used up. They actually remain still for so long, that forests and other creatures gave actually made their homes on the backs of these creatures.

The Rusty Planet, Independence
Size: Diameter of 14,396 miles
Age: Approximately 5.2 billion years.
Atmospheric Composition (if applicable): Primarily nitrogen, trace amounts of oxygen, chlorine, and carbon can also be found.
Surface Composition (if applicable): Primarily iron oxide, carbon, tin, calcium, and aluminum can also be found.
Surface Temperature: Average daytime temperatures reach 59°F while average nighttime temperatures reach 12°F.
Life?: Yes, it is comparable to that of Biblical times on Earth.
Water?: Yes, it exists in all three forms. The surface is 29% water.
Distance from Sansak: 96.3 million miles.
Moons?: One
Rings?: Four
Length of Orbit: 618 Earth days
Length of Day: 21 Earth hours.

Another curious planet, Independence is as red as Mars, but it doesn't seem as dead as Mars does. From what telescopes have shown astronomers, there is a large, liquid ocean on the surface. And where there's water, there's bound to be life. As such, it has also been the subject of extensive research.

Unlike Wichita, Independence is a bit more advanced and life is strikingly similar to what we see on Eartrh. Several portions of the planet seem to very similar to that of the United States, while other portions seem similar to many third world countries. Animals and plants seem incredibly similar to Earth, though this could just be thanks to Independence's location in KS-1291861.

The Gas Giant, Lenexa
Size: 45,294 Diameter of miles
Age: Approximately 5.2 billion years.
Atmospheric Composition (if applicable): Mostly methane, hydrogen, helium, oxygen, and ammonia. Neon, chlorine, and arsenic are found in trace amounts.
Surface Composition (if applicable): Has a rocky core made almost entirely out of compressed carbon.
Surface Temperature: Generally averages at 62°F.
Life?: None
Water?: It exists as water vapor.
Distance from Sansak: 166 million miles.
Moons?: Five
Rings?: Twelve
Length of Orbit: 4,294 Earth days
Length of Day: 12 Earth hours.

Lenexa is a gas giant that's just a bit larger than Neptune, but much more violent. The planet has winds that can reach over 1,200 MPH. Storms on the planet are frequent. While none of this is particularly interesting, one moon, simply dubbed Salina, has caught several eyes. It is strikingly similar to Jupiter's moon of Europa. With a hypothetical ocean, could bring about hypothetical life.
