She usually throws on a pair of black and white hightops, a white hair clip, and a few bracelets to complete the outfit. Her hair is black and fairly long, reaching to below her waist, though she usually ties it up into a ponytail when going into a battle. Her eyes are a deep brown color and always seem to be shimmering with excitement. She also has a small heart shaped birthmark on her left calf. She claims that it makes her even cooler.
Personality-wise, Diana is a very socially awkward and introverted, yet kind and family-oriented individual. She prefers to interact with her brother, close friends, and teammates over complete strangers. She has a habit of breaking into Spanish when she’s upset or flustered, much to her brother’s (and many other people’s) confusion. She also has a love for Bug-type Pokemon, claiming that they’re all oddly adorable in some way. She also loves puns and romance. However, she doesn’t like the mention of divorce and is quick to change the subject if it comes up in a conversation. Biography: Diana’s early life was a rather confusing and hectic time for her, though she wouldn’t want to trade it for another life at all. As soon as she was born, she had been separated from her brother due to her parents going through with a divorce. The two had agreed to take one child each and Diana and her brother’s father had ended up taking Diana with him while Diana’s brother went with their mother.
Everyone on her father’s side spoke Spanish more fluently than English though her father spoke both languages well, so Diana grew up struggling to learn both languages at the same time. Though, she did get the hang of it and was soon able to speak both English and Spanish. It got to the point that she would often unintentionally switch between languages when conversing with anyone. She still has that quirk, though now it usually only occurs when she’s flustered or upset about something.
Though, things for Diana soon changed when she was just bordering on ten years old. Her parents had decided to get back together and her and her brother were soon reunited. Being the socially awkward girl she was, it was a bit difficult for Diana to adjust to having a parent and brother all of a sudden, but she was eventually able to adjust and soon enough it was like she had never even been separated from her brother. Soon enough, it was time for the two to set off on their own adventure with their own starter Pokemon. Though, unlike most trainers, Diana didn’t need to go to Professor Orchid to choose a starter because she already had one; a Larvesta she had grown up with. The two had a very close bond and did practically everything together, so it was only reasonable she take the Pokemon with her on her journey.
Though, during the journey, a life-changing moment would occur for Diana. It was her first visit to a Pokemon Clinic. It wasn’t anything major, she just wanted to make sure her Pokemon were all fully healed and ready to go for an upcoming gym battle she wanted to be a part of. Stepping into the clinic, she was astounded by the caring and warm atmosphere of it all. That event inspired her to want to run her own Pokemon clinic someday so that other people could have that atmosphere as well.
Now, Diana, her brother, and their team continue to travel around, taking on various gyms and challenges. They’ve made many happy memories and have even met a few friends along the way who they quickly became close to. Axel had even grown into a relationship with one of the friends. The two are still as close as ever and just live to chase their dreams with their little group.
Character Themes:
'American Honey'- Lady Antebellum
Her Team:
Pokemon 1: Volcarona
Nickname: Lava
Gender: Male
Personality/Background: Diana’s Volcarona is a rather quirky and loyal Pokemon. He loves nothing more than to cuddle up to his trainer, even though this may leave his unfortunate trainer with a few minor burns in the process. He’s also prone to cuddling up to other people on occasion. He’s most definitely the leader of the group. In battle, he has high speed and defense, but average power. Diana had obtained this quirky Pokemon as a Larvesta for her third birthday. The two quickly formed a tight, unbreakable bond and were (and still are) rarely ever seen apart. If the two are away from each other, they become quite depressed and don’t function as well as they normally would.
Pokemon 2: Venomoth
Nickname: Venom
Gender: Male
Personality/Background: Diana’s Venomoth is a rather cuddly and gluttonous Pokemon. He loves nothing more than to eat and will often try to steal food from anyone, including complete strangers. He also loves nothing more than to be cuddled up to someone or something, also including complete strangers. He often lands on his trainer’s head as a sign of affection. In battle, he has average speed, but high power and low defense. Diana had obtained this quirky Pokemon as a Venonat when he had simply invited himself to a lunch the group was having and started stealing as much food as possible. Rather than getting mad, Diana found the situation quite humorous and decided to add the gluttonous thing to her team.
Pokemon 3: Sewaddle
Nickname: Chlorophyll
Gender: Female
Personality/Background: Diana’s Sewaddle is a rather timid and closed off, yet still cuddly, Pokemon. She loves to cuddle up to people, though she prefers it to be her trainer, her trainer’s groupmates, or any one of their Pokemon. In battle, her defense, speed, and power are all rather low, though that’s mostly because she rarely ever battles. Diana had obtained this timid little Pokemon when she had seen her being hurt by another trainer simply because of the typing. The trainer disliked Bug-types and instead of just walking away from the little Pokemon, they tried to stomp on her. Diana was quick to intervene and protected the terrified little thing. Grateful, the Sewaddle decided to make herself part of Diana’s team.
Pokemon 4: Joltik
Nickname: Sparky
Gender: Male
Personality/Background: Unlike his other teammates, Diana’s Joltik doesn’t like to cuddle at all and will go to great lengths, including shocking people who try to cuddle him, in order to avoid it. Diana and him don’t have a very friendly relationship, but they tolerate each other at least. In battle, like Diana’s Sewaddle, all of his stats are rather low, though that is mostly due to his tiny body size. Diana had obtained her Joltik because she had accidentally stepped on him and as a result, nearly squished him. Luckily, she realized her mistake when the Pokemon shocked her. She quickly rushed him to a Pokemon clinic and got him healed up. After a bit of sulking on the Pokemon’s part, he begrudgingly decided to join her team mostly to keep himself from getting stepped on again.
Pokemon 5: Butterfree
Nickname: Flora
Gender: Female
Personality/Background: Diana’s Butterfree is yet another cuddly Pokemon, though she can get a bit jealous of another Pokemon is hogging all the attention. Like Diana’s Venomoth, her Butterfree will often land on the head of her trainer as well as her groupmates complete strangers in order to show affection. In battle, her stats are all rather average, though her speed is slightly higher than her defense and power. Diana had obtained this cuddly little butterfly as a Caterpie simply because it kept following her around and wanting attention. After quite a while, she offered for the Pokemon to join her team and the little caterpillar happily accepted.
Pokemon 6: Ribombee
Nickname: Cuddles
Gender: Female
Personality/Background: Diana’s Ribombee is a rather affectionate and playful Pokemon. She loves to fly around and play harmless jokes on others before snuggling up to them. Though, she can be a bit timid and shy at first, she’s really quick to open up and become her playful little self. In battle she has average defense and power, but low speed. Diana had obtained this adorable little Pokemon simply by catching her in the wild. The Pokemon had pulled a joke, but it had gone wrong and as a result, Diana battled her and won, deciding to add the Pokemon to her team.
