Didn't know where to put the log. So here it is...
Players: J. Constantine, Lisska, Samuel Leo, Samantha Lilyette, Harlee, Pheraea, and Angeli
Players: J. Constantine, Lisska, Samuel Leo, Samantha Lilyette, Harlee, Pheraea, and Angeli
(21:19:34) J. Constantine - It had been... Far too long since he heard the cry for intervention. Normally it wasn't his gig.. To favor one or the other. If it were up to John, he would sit back, sip on some whiskey, and let both sides destroy each other. But he knew better than that. Begrudgedly, he knows that the balance needs to be maintained.. For all those poor bastards on Earth. Ones who never asked to be a part of this sick game God and Satan started long ago. Unlike so many scurrying about to find shelter, Constantine took his sweet time walking down the street, getting soaked in the process. Eyes would narrow to see the blinking neon sign of the bar. A perfect distraction. Door would be swung wide open, and here he was. Sarcasm personified. Cig would be lit almost immediately, letting that plume of smoke billow outward without any regards to those nearby. Strolling up to the bar, he would sit right down, eyeing the bartender. "Whiskey. And I don't care which one."[e]
(21:28:59) Lisska, Rain and lightning go hand in hand. The downpour is often punctuated by a rumbling and a flash of light as a bolt arcs towards the Earth, which trembles from the force as electricity flows into the ground. The cacophony is music to the ears of a drenched blonde, every flash of light makes her bones sing and adrenaline to burn hot, chasing away the chill of the rain. Hands shoved into the pockets of her pants, sauntering without a care down the dilapidated streets towards the glimmer of one of the few working neon signs. A bar! She shoulders the door open and strides in, boots heavy on the slick tile and there is a distinct click of metal. Folded against the tall woman's back are a pair of immense ivory and gold wings, their pinions fashioned of shimmering, razor-sharp metal that scrapes and clicks as the feathers shake off moisture. Blonde hair stuck to her face and neck, she sits sodden at the bar and rumbles pleasantly, "Anything hot, coffee or cider or whatever. Spike it." (c)
(21:31:52) Lisska grins, an expression that could equally be charming as it could be menacing, "Man this realm is a shit hole, anyone willing to bring me up to speed about who tossed a nuke or whatever?" Her electric eyes dart down from the bartender and onto Constantine, curiously amiable. (e.)
(21:49:34) Samuel Leo the rain...why did God have it rain? Perhaps he didn't want his word preached today. Or maybe he was just helping Samuel in some Godly mysterious way Samuel didn't understand. Just as he had gotten Sun settled down in his church for sleep, and Victoria had offered to drop slightly annoyed Samuel off to the nearest bar, he accepted the offer. The godly man was dropped off at the main entrance in a bright flash of white wings and light before it faded as Samuel entered, just as Lisska asked that question. "The Apocalypse has started, Miss. Gods will is being done on Earth." Okay, or maybe this was Gods shift. To spread the gospel to these willing people? He just didn't understand why his plan had been destroyed, but perhaps it was because it had been HIS plans. The Jesus freak was dressed horribly. Bright blue eyes were focused on Lisska, and although he simply seemed to hold a slightly scuffed up thick book that he clutched tightly to his chest, there was nothing >>
(21:53:46) Samuel Leo particular about him. He looked just like any other survivor...minus...minus that there were ear buds in his ear. He had a MP3 player? Looks like it. Bright blues stayed on her as he shifted to the other two. "Samuel, by the way. Nice to meet you and welcome." But he sounded...so calm. For a human, who knew he was screwed, as far as they could tell anyway. Meanwhile he was praying to God and trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Okay, so maybe I took matters into my own hannds.>>
(21:55:21) Samuel Leo my bad God, but come on, is that a good reason to just completely crash it and make others suffer for my mistake? I hope they are okay...I hope they are all safe. Give Riddick and Zan safe passage Lord, like you give me safe passage each time. Eventually feet carried him, still clutching that only bible left likely, to the chair nearby Lisska. "Water please." Smiling to him as he offered another page copy to the bartender in return for the fresh water. "Thanks Samuel!" Nodding to the guy as he thanked him. "Sorry that the weather destroyed your bonfire." Shrugging as he smiled brightly. "Seems like God has other plans."
(22:01:58) Samantha Lilyette only wished she could stop running, wished that she could find somewhere to rest. The having put out the fire had certainly ruined her earlier plans, and she could feel those creatures following her... She had to ignore them, she had to keep moving. And then she saw it...the glowing neon light in the distance, and she pushed herself, as tired, as in pain she was further towards it. Her hand reached for, then grasped onto the door, throwing it open and then slamming it shut behind her. Panting hard, her body swayed momentarily before she fell to her knees on the floor, her chest heaving with every heavy pant. Safety, she had made it... Her eyes slowly rose, glancing around before landing upon the three people already inside, and instantly embarrassment enveloped her, what a scene she had just made... Her cheeks burned but she rose to her feet and approached the counter. "Wah-" Her voice, hoarse first, she paused and cleared her throat, swallowing hard after. [c]
(22:02:06) Samantha Lilyette: "Water please." Was her simple order, her eyes trying not to place on the others again. It wasn't that she was rude...she just didn't entirely know how to converse with people she didn't know. [e]
(22:03:35) J. Constantine would mumble a 'thank you' as the glass was slid his way. As so many eyes turned to the windows as lightning struck, John kept his eyes forward. He has heard a lot worse, after all. The whole world has gone to shit. Then again, it wasn't much to begin with. He would hear the door being kicked open, followed by that metallic sound. Lifting glass to lips, his focus would remain forward, though eyes did glance once to the newcomer as she asked a question that made a bit of a snort escape from John. "It was a shit hole even before the nuke. And since that is the case.." Dark eyes would turn to her with a flat expression on his face. "Does it really fucking matter?" His focus on the woman would be broken just as the door swung open and in came the Jesus parade. After Sam's first sentence, John would turn right back around, cradling his forehead with index and thumb, already feeling the oncoming headache this guy was sure to cause. "jesus fucking christ." [c]
(22:05:59) J. Constantine's eyes would close as the guy would get closer and closer. A lazy two finger wave would be made as he introduced himself, though head would not lift. The last thing he wanted, was to get into it with somebody who thinks they know 'God's plans'. Games, you mean... God has other games... Whiskey would be lifted to lips once more, this time two large gulps would be taken. Right when he would set the glass down, did that door slam open and another wayward soul would come right in. Although this one... As soon as she was within his sights, dark eyes would look to he observantly. Something wasn't right. Brow would remain furrowed as she ordered a water. But soon, John would cast his eyes downward. Always the listener, he kept his ears open for any leads on stray angel or demons who decided to bring the heat to Earth. [e]
(22:13:32) Lisska is grateful for the steaming mug of black coffee mixed heavily with rum that is set down on the counter for her, enfolding the cup with both hands to soak in the warmth with a content sound. "Well, not really but I like to know the state of things before deciding whether or not to stick around." The surface of the planet was fucking ruined, that's for sure but its overall health seemed stable enough, at least according to her senses. Samuel's entry and subsequent response to her query is met with a hearty "Ah! Thank you! Nothing like coming into the bloody apocalypse." And for whatever reason she hummed the chorus to a particular song about the 'end of the world.' "Been all around the thrice-damned cosmos, every where you turn places going to shit." Liss rumbled in between sips of coffee, a brow lifting when the door creaked open and Samantha rushed in. "Ya'll right there?" A flicker of genuine concern for the strange female, "Not hurt or anything?" (c)
(22:16:53) Lisska, "I can fix cuts 'n bruises lickity split," one of her wings unfurled, the appendage easily spanned all the way to the other end of the counter and she lightly brushed Samantha with it. The wing returned to its folded state a moment later, steel feathers creating a soft chorus of clicking again. (e.)
(22:35:52) Samuel Leo smiled brightly at Constantine as he said that. "Precisely, actually." was mentioned in a slight chuckle towards the man. At least his hello was returned with a somewhat greeting. Though he was used to the OMG Jesus Parade coming in reactions, so he seemed hardly phased by Constantines' reaction to Samuel entering in with rubbing his temples. "My pleasure, Miss. And your name would be?" was asked, until Samantha barged in. Samuel turned to look at her and smiled brightly. God had answered his prayer. So Samuel assumed, anyway. She was here, safe and the noxsine were just outside the door. "Ask me of it and it shall be granted to you." was whispered under his breath, standing up as stepped past the inquiring Lisska, nodding. "She is safe and alive." Samuel had seen too much crap to know the difference by now. He simply extended a hand out to Samantha, as Lisska offered her magical healing. "That is kind of you, thank you." Especially to offer such thing without asking>>
(22:36:24) Samuel Leo for something in return. Eyeing the wings in curiosity. "Are you...an angel?" Actually, now that he had a good look at Lisska, he didn't know what she was. "Hm." Tilting his head in curiosity, before turning his shining happy blue eyes back on Samantha. Hand still extending out. "Let me help you get settled. I might have a spare blanket available to trade for." That bible? Still clutched with his other hand. He didn't leave that bible anywhere. His tone was peaceful, full of love and calm. This man, despite the bad turn of events, was starting to feel joy again. His heart beat strongly in him. You always know better God, forgive your servant. Let me be your tool now Lord. Please. was prayed.
(22:49:37) J. Constantine glanced at the wings and had to shake his head. If she were on the lighter side of things, how very typical was that mentality. Angels and holy beings alike, they seem to only help if it was worth it. And if they didn't... It was just part of 'God's plans'. Not that the other side was any better... Seems like they both did a lot of their bidding as long as it benefits themselves. A brow would lift as one of her wings reached behind him towards the girl, following the stretch of the appendage with an eye. Samuel's voice would interrupt any sort of theories John was coming up with in his mind. One good thing that came from Samuel's mouth was the question of whether or not this one was an Angel. Truth be told, she didn't give off the same aura as an ethereal. So, probably not. John would half pay attention to Samuel as his focus was on the girl and how distraught she seemed to be.[c]
(22:54:01) J. Constantine's job had been a tad splotchy since the 'apocalypse'. The lines between hell, heaven, and earth had been blurred for the most part.. So keeping those in their respective realms had been an uphill battle to Constantine. Was it even his job anymore? Because of that, his main purpose was to safe guard those who weren't on any sides. Who didn't choose to be part of this freak show. He was there to keep an eye on what was left of humankind. Glass would be knocked back as he would tap the bar for another. Under normal circumstances, John would probably leave right about now. As soon as the holy roller came into the bar, he would have up and left. Truthfully? This night had been so very boring. And this bible thumper just might spill some intel that would be very valuable to John.[e]
(22:58:12) Harlee may be a Noxsine, but the one good thing about taking a human form is that you can enter the building without burning up in a fiery mess. Fire still hurts the piss out of her, though. No doubt about that. The psychotic woman had departed from her group of people to run after some poor soul, whom she lost track of. She grunted. Wearing a rather revealing outfit and her face and body covered in blood, Harlee's attention was caught when she noticed a group of people sitting at the bar most people seemed to frequent on late nights. "HA!" She smirked, picking up her axe and slinging it over her shoulder. Known to be the ring leader of the insane posse of clowns and jesters that roams around the city, she waltzed right in like the insane bitch she is. She gasped and brought the axe down, "Look! It's a full house!!" She grinned and the demonic hiss that came from her, followed by the flash of her eyes to a solid black gave off that pretty obvious vibe that she's up to no good. (c)
(22:58:46) Harlee. "Who's to die, first?!" She grinned. (d)
(23:06:24) Lisska, Oh, well, the girl had her water and apparently didnt need the blonde's help. Which was dandy really, meant her energy could be saved for other things. Like flying or roasting the little imps she'd seen flitting about in the shadows while meandering the streets. Electric blue eyes darted over to Samuel and his query of whether she was an angel, "If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me that, I'd be rich. So no, not an angel, closest English term would be 'pegasus.' And please, for Sithis' sake, save me the horse comparisons and jokes." More coffee is guzzled down and right as the request for a refill is to be made, a rather oppressive aura permeates the bar. Moments later, an axe-toting dame strides in covered in blood and really bad makeup. "Ah hell," Liss heaved a sigh, annoyance creasing her brow. She slammed her hands on the counter and stood, wings unfurling to span their steel plumage out, (c)
(23:10:00) Lisska, "Look sweetheart, you can either turn tail and leave in one piece." She really wasnt in the mood for nonsense tonight, "Or I'll roast you where you stand." Liss said flatly, electricity starting to spark and crackle around her imposing frame. Her grin has turned almost as manic as Harlee's, knuckles being cracked pointedly in preparation for a fight. (e.)
(23:14:46) Samuel Leo as Samantha got her water and got a place to rest, Samuel was thus easily shifted to leave her to what she needed. Lisskas smart alike response had Samuel chuckling in a good show of humor as he kept clutching that bible. Constantines eye on him had him smiling towards him as well. Normally Jesus Freaks were watched. And Samuel knew why most of them were, but he wasn't afraid of someone watching him because he knew without a doubt, that he'd prove Jesus still was in this world when God wanted him to. "I'm sorry for the uh...confusion then, Ma'am." Since Lisska had yet to give her name. "But as honest as I can seem, I will not make jokes on behalf of your stature. I've always heard you being some heavenly creature, but don't believe you're mentioned in the bible. Interesting, that's all I have to say really about the matter." >>
(23:18:06) Samuel Leo just as he was finishing his drink of water did Harlee enter, Samuels bright blue eyes turned to stare at her as she said that so cockily and slammed that large axe into the wooden floor. He didn't even crack the bible open. But he clutched to it as he stepped in front of Lisska, and stared so freakishly calmly in front of Harlee. Looks like this was Gods plan after all, why else would Noxsine be trying to interrupt it. "1 John 5:5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one that believes that Jesus is the Son of God." Was he really acting like Lisska couldn't put up a fight? No. But he didn't like violence, in which he'd say the next bible verse to prove just that, glancing at Lisska as she cracked her knuckles. Standing, a mere human between two beings that could easily beat the living shit out of him. "Matthew 26: 52-54 Then Jesus said to him, @Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Do you think that I cannot>>
(23:22:15) Samuel Leo appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?@ Body still was facing off however, to Harlee versus Lisska. So far she had proven nice and not one to just hurt anyone. It was then that he gestured to her, as if making a point to Lisska. "Proverbs 3:31 Do not envy a man of violence and do not choose any of his ways." Blue eyes shifted to Harlee finally, steadfastly with strong faith being grasped while Samuel prayed to God, staring down the woman he hardly knew. She likely had madness but he could heal it...if God wanted it to be so. Right now he was simply going with the flow. I am your tool, use you me as you see fit, God. Whatever is your will, I am here waiting for the call or sign. For some odd reason, Samuel was feeling very slight holy spirit movement in his chest, but he hoped that despite, God would still answer his call.
(23:23:42) J. Constantine would take a drink of his whiskey, hearing the back and forth happening around him. All of it useless information, though the revealing of this.. Woman as a pegasus was quite intriguing. Right when he thought he has seen it all.. Here comes My Little Pony. Heh. But right when he was going to snuff out his cig and take his drink to go.. Ronald McDonald's uglier cousin comes walking in. Eyes would close, breathing in that sulfuric stink that all demons seem to have to him. At first, John was uneffected by the sudden intrusion of the Noxsine. Don't do it... He would think to himself, still facing forward as Lisska would stand and only add to the chaos threatening to spill over. If there was anything more annoying.. It would be the size of the egos around here. Eyes would look around to find that the frazzled girl was most likely tucked in a room somewhere. Which probably was a good thing. [c]
(23:31:02) J. Constantine didn't want to get in the middle of this... Holy battle. But alas, there was still one human left in this fucking bar.. And it was the one spurting off bible verses. Fuck if this isn't some kind of joke. Despite his cold demeanour, Constantine actually did care for those weaker than angels and demons. Even if they came in the form of a jesus loving, bible clutching man. He could feel the tension starting to rise between them, and did he really want a holy war to break out in the middle of his drinking? No. Of course not. "Listen." John would stand, letting that stool screech loudly as he pushed it away from the bar. Form would walk right up to the Noxsine, eyeing her with cig in his mouth. "I get it. You want a few heads to fucking play with. What a better opportunity than just a bunch of drunks in a bar, right?" Drag would be taken, making sure the burning end of that cig was so very close to her face. Smoke would billow out from nostrils as he eyed her.[c]
(23:33:53) J. Constantine would shake his head, "you aren't impressing anyone with that tactic. In fact... Edward Scissorwings here could end you in probably a second." Eyes would go up to the ceiling then back down to her. "If you two want to fight.. Go handle that shit outside and away from those who just want to forget Earth is a wasteland." Of course, he meant away from the human, but that was kept to himself, really. The smallest of smirks would flicker onto his face before he would look her in the eyes. "I fucking dare you, actually.."[e]
(23:42:42) Pheraea was never far from Harlee it would seem as whatever leash she had on the chimera had been shorted to the point where she came slinking in dressed in deep purple temple robes that did little but kept the essentials from view. The creature was quick to sidle up to the Noxsine in question as she quickly assessed the situation. "Harleeeee." She hissed as plush tail curled in a rather serpentine manner around the psycho's leg in silent possessive hold. "They are not food. Come outside and play." She demanded and it was possibly she didn't quite want to be inside of this bar. They didn't seem very appetizing.
(23:54:12) Harlee wasn't phased by those who dared to try and be bold against her. It's not the first time and it's certainly not going to be the last. She began laughing the second the woman took a tone, instantly throwing her threats; something Harlee is quite used to by now. Even by her own posse. Usually, those who challenged her ended up dead. But right now, she's just finding amusement in fucking with people. It wasn't until Constantine came up to her, daring so to approach the woman with that cigarette in his mouth. Perhaps the burning drag was the only thing keeping Harlee at bay. While Noxsine are powerful, one thing they will never get over is their fear over fire and anything that's close to being fire. His words seemed to go in one ear and out of the other. The smirk and grin on her face was oh-so taunting for the most part. The grip on her ax tightened, and she was just about to swing. That is, until bible-thumper over there started his preachings. The loud hissing (c)
(23:54:20) Harlee. noise that came from the jester woman was a sound of displeasure. That growl deepened into something more threatening. Her head began to pound. Typically, Noxsine can't enter a building without being invited it. However, being in human form allowed her to do so, but the immunity didn't always last very long. Plus, Noxsine such as herself can be plagued with insanity like everyone else on this earth. So, the prayer? It did effect her in a way she didn't expect. "STOP!" She screamed, throwing a jolt of telekinetic power towards the ground. One that might've been enough to throw anyone near her back. Wouldn't hurt them. Unless they landed weird. Phera came slinking in, demanding her attention and she looked at her. "No." She growled, looking towards Samuel. The second she recollected herself, he arm lifted up at an insane pace, throwing her ax right towards the so called, 'Jesus-freak.' She stepped back and snickered, laughing ridiculously like the maniac she is. (d)
(00:00:50) Lisska is wholly intending on blasting the half-naked bitch back through the door in maybe five seconds or so. Sparks had started to grow in their intensity, little bolts of electricity dancing between the metallic pinions of her wings and more flickered around her knuckles. Whatever intent she held though is stamped out in shock as Samuel stands up, plants himself in front of her and starts reciting Bible verses. The blonde's eye twitches a moment, attention wavering between Sam and Harlee, wondering if the boy's faith would have any kind of effect on this lunatic. Her right wing twitches, half curling protectively around Samuel, "Gonna get yourself fried too kid, if you dont move." Liss rumbled, planting one hand on his shoulder and making an attempt to steer him away from herself. Another stranger walked in, an ally of the clown chick apparently and another prime target to get roasted. Except Constantine stole the spotlight, making his own attempt to talk the crazies out of the bar. (c)
(00:08:12) Lisska heaves another long-suffering sigh, all this talk was boring her beyond belief. These werent the sort you could reason with, the only way to deal with obnoxious twats was to cook 'em into delicious piles of charred flesh. "I'd love to take this outside really but that wont be happening if ya'll keep getting in my way." The pegasus griped, hardly flinching when Harlee's telekinesis washed over them. She'd been standing right by the stool she'd been seated at this whole time. And then Harlee's axe comes flying and Liss thinks better of pushing Sam away, instead both wings would come furling around the boy, the ax burying itself into plumage rather ineffectively. It hurt, definitely, but Liss flexed her wings and the axe clattered to the ground. "Okay, I'm done with this shit." The lights above Harlee and Pherea blasted out, an arc of white-hot lightning arcing down to where they stood. Roasted noxsine anyone? (e.)
(00:16:46) Samuel Leo that bible was likely looking more powerful. He was stunned of course, as the stranger who had ducked his head like so many people who loathed his presence, stepped up beside and past Samuel to try and gain the woman's attention, but that didn't stop Samuel from speaking the words that were obviously, memorized. When you only had one book to read, however, what did you expect really? He knew that bible back to back, which is why he likely traded one page of revelations for things at times when he was low on supplies. Not the reason he was here, of course, he had HALF been tempted briefly for a taste of liquor, but still refused as it is written. Genesis 4:7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it. Hars laugh towards Lisska proved that she wasn't effected. Her attention on the burning ember that is a cigarette had Sam curious. Noxsine maybe? >>
(00:17:55) Samuel Leo being Preacher, after all, you got to learn to read expressions. There was an obvious fear for that burning ember cigarette. And although he wanted to point out to Constantine that you could not in fact, get rid of the apocalypse, he simply opted for letting the man have some peace. As it's obvious that's all he desires for now. "I think she's Noxsine...." he muttered, furrowing his brows. Lisska wing tugged him away from the center of the fight, but Samuel spoke once more. "Listen to the words I say. Violence begets violence, Miss. and it's Samuel." The patience of a saint, because he didn't sound even frustrated she hadn't remembered. He was busy clutching to God and praying to him. Protect Constantine, Protect Lisska Lord. Help us, God. We need you, Jehovah of my heart. Prove your might, let me be your instrument. Lips parted as the blast of a thrown axe and electrical spark, with Lisskas strength and the sudden clutch of her wings around provided him. >>
(00:20:54) Samuel Leo ability to stand somewhat, though he definitely felt like he had been sucker punched slightly. "Romans 12:19 Beloved!" he shouted as Lisska started to charge up, looking over at her as he lifted a hand to raise towards her own arm, and shook his head. No...not on this. "Never avenge yourselves but leave it to the Wrath of God! For it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay." Says the Lord." He did pause however, looking at her hurt wings and frowning. "Sorry about your wings...thank you." Jesus....please. Hear your servants plea. I need you. Protect Lisska, prove your glory Lord if it be your will. Blue eyes closed and hand rose as head bowed. Jesus freak for real. "Psalm 140:1 Deliver me O Lord, from evil me; Preserve me from violent men." The words were shouted, cried out as Samuel was hoping it'd stop Lisskas violence and send the...thing fleeing. Leaving them to a hopefully PEACEFUL evening, as Constantine and truthfully, Samuel desired.
(00:25:46) J. Constantine knew that once she is in human form, certain things didn't hold their weight against the Noxsine as they normally would. Even light... But fire.. Oh, John knew that was a guarantee. Eyes would glance at her sidekick for a moment, only to go right back to that painted face of hers. He expected the laugh, even the taunting. But what he didn't expect was her dramatic reaction to the bible verses. Eyes would go to Samuel, and he would shake his head. The man may be repelling her.. But in reality? He was also pissing her off. And right when John knew the Noxsine had enough, there came the ax. He didn't budge, really. Because he knew that there sure were a lot of chiefs here, and only one indian. And just as predicted, The winged one saved the day. With a sigh, John didn't say another word as he would walk to the bar, grab up his whiskey, and finish it off. "This whole place is a goddamn circus."[c]
(00:36:07) J. Constantine didn't flinch as suddenly the lights were blown out and of course, the pegasus flexed her golden wings once more. "No..." He would say, and just as that first bit of electricity would zap through, John would flex his own muscles for a moment... The sparks being sent down on the two would slow quite suddenly, as would the clocks in the room and even the breathing of Samuel. Time seemed to slow. Brushing past the now slow Lisska, minding the razor-sharp wings... He would grab both dark creatures and shove them right out of the way just in time for that shower of sparks to hit only the floor. Breathing, a bit fatigued from that little trick of his, he would look to the two creatures. "Now you should leave.." Constantine would say, flicking his head in the direction of the door. Dark eyes would return to Lisska, emerging from the darkness that she caused. "Earth isn't a fucking playground for either side. If you want a piece of them, you take it back to Hell."[c]
(00:38:01) J. Constantine would glance at both faces, jaw clenching with annoyance. "I just wanted a fucking drink." Hands would lift a new cig to his mouth, light it, and take a nice drag before turning to the bar once more. "One more.. But put this one in a to-go cup." He would snort inbetween drags. "I've had enough of this bar for one goddamn night."[e]
(00:43:29) Pheraea stared the Noxsine down as she was so openly rejected. It was something she would not stand far and as she moved away and caused such a mess. The Chimera was not bound by the magics of man, or creatures of heaven and hell. The creature was able to move out of the way of being grabbed by Constantine with a little step back. The electricity in the air causing fur to stand on in and she looked every bit the aggravated cat a chimera could. "Harlee. Food. Now. Out." She demanded in a rather clipped manner, glancing toward Lisska and then toward Constantine. "I will play with you soon." She stated as she took her leave of the area, hopefully her Killer Queen would follow.
(00:54:54) Lisska does not enjoy the feel of Time magic, it creeps and crawls down her spine like something cold and unpleasant. Everything slows and her keener senses reel with disorientation for the brief moments that it is in effect. The only upside? The throbbing ache of her wings isnt so prominent while Constatine plays hero and pushes the two crazies out of her lightning bolt's arc. The world rushes back into proper order and Liss lets out a groan while fixing a glare on Mr.Chronomancy, "I'll do what I please when it comes to defending innocent bystanders, if you hadnt noticed, crazy bitch threw a fucking axe at Samuel here. I wasnt going to burn the goddamn building down." She looks to Sam, "Thanks for the back up kid but dont step in front of me again when I'm about to blast someone." She patted Sam's shoulder and with a twitch of her wings, started to walk towards the door. "Whatever, goodnight kiddies." And back out into the rain Liss went, catching a gust of wind to carry her away.
(00:58:53) Angeli had been with her brothers and sisters, salvaging what they could of Heaven. After it's fall and corruption once the war erupted, Angeli had the ability to return and figure out what happened before all realms went to shit. She had gotten used to Earth, though. She's grown to become powerful, just like her brothers and sister. As she wandered, the sound of prayer caught the Angel's attention. What? But the angel waves have been gone for a while, now! Well, either way, she followed them. Descending down to Earth, she landed in the middle of the city, listening closely. Following the path of prayer, Angeli's eyes finally fixated on the bar and she furrowed her brows. These stupid clowns! She's dealt with them in the past before, and she was beginning to get tired of their antics. Just before she entered, her eyes lit up a bright white and he eyes extended out. The building would've began to shake just slightly, and the bright light that emitted from her body only (c)
(00:59:03) Angeli. got brighter. Her wings extended outwards and chanted out, " Hinc nocte peccatum" - Translation from latin, "Leave here night sin." Fire isn't the only thing that can repel a Noxsine. Holy light does just fine. It's one reason Noxsine don't often fuck around with angels. Unless there's many against one. If/when the Noxsine fled, she'd drop the bright lights and look around, "Is everyone ok?" She questioned, looking around at everyone with her wings lowering. (d)
(01:01:13) Harlee became instantly frustrated. But that's what she gets for walking into a bar full of people. If she were in Noxsine form and they were outside? This would've been cake. But she's not. She's in a human form that can be easily killed. Things all started to go to shit when Harlee's irrationality of the whole thing started to get the best of her. Then again, when is she ever rational? Lisska's ability to throw electricity might've been successful, had it not been for both, Phera and Constantine. Quote honestly, she wasn't even sure why the fuck Constantine tried to help her. But it wasn't long before the damn angel came in, throwing Harlee off, instantly. Phera's words couldn't have been better. "Shit!" As the bright light neared, Harlee's human form completely changed into nothing but a black, hazy smoke. That shadowy mass bolted out with a howling growl, being burned by not just the holy light, but the fact that now she took no form, and could be easily expelled and (c)
(01:01:23) Harlee harmed by not being 'invited.' She assumed Phera would also follow her out.(d)
(01:13:52) Samuel Leo the mention of this place being a circus? "Can't deny that." was whispered in a silent agreement. He didn't notice time slow. Though he was certain it was just all part of Gods plan as somehow, unknown to Samuel, Constantine had stopped Miss Pegasus' attack. Her reprimand for his stopping her violence had him frowning. "Miss, but...he is right to stop it. Earth isn't a playground, I agree and... Isaiah 57:21 says, There is no rest for the wicked. Hosea 4:2 There is swearing, lying, murder, stealing and committing adultery; they break all bounds and bloodshed?" he'd pause to see if she was keenly listening. "Follows bloodshed. It solves...nothing to fry her or even try to, other then causing a mess and disturbing this mans peace." gesturing to Constantine. As she walks out with her ignorance, Samuel simply sighs, rubbing his face. Pherea was noticed, but he didn't get much of a time to talk to her or really interact with her with him trying to quiet down the fight. >>
(01:15:40) Samuel Leo the glory of gods Light shining down as Samuel shouted those last words, however, and seeing an angel burst her holy might to reveal what that thing had really been, surprised Samuel, and yet also saddened him. "Another lost to Satan," he said softly, slumping those shoulders. Although Samuel was definitely blinded by the bright light, by now the Jesus Freak was sort of accustomed to it. Constantine's bravery, however, and his frustration of just wanting a peaceful drink, had Samuel looking over at him with a smile. "I promise you if you go to the church. You can find a peaceful drink. I swear to not talk to you about God. My thanks to you for...sticking your neck out for me." Blue eyes shifted to Angeli, and his face brightened. Another angel. "Samuel and yeah...we're fine here. He's...about to head out. Think he's kinda mad his drink got interrupted. Can't blame him." A sheepish smile was given to her. "Think you could get me a lift back to home?" Home being the church, that is. >>
(01:16:37) Samuel Leo For all of you thinking that he just might poof and vanish upstairs into Heaven then come back when he wants. Samuel was thin, he was gaunt looking, and had heavy bags under his eyes. But what he clutched in his left hand was unmistakable. A holy bible. Still intact. No doubt that's where her prayer had been from. "Can I at least get your name, before you leave though Sir?" And what did he say to God? Glory be to you, Lord Jesus. Who heard his servants prayer and answered it. I love you God and I always will. Blue eyes resting on Constantine as he offered a still calm friendly peaceful happy smile. Gotta LOVE them Jesus Freaks, right?
(01:21:42) J. Constantine was not a hero. In no way did he ever consider himself to be. A loud scoff would purposely be flown in Liss' direction as she spoke of doing what she pleases. That is the fucking problem, right there... As good as her intentions were.. They only made shit worse by bringing the fight to a realm that didn't ask for it. Thus the basis of John's purpose. Just as Pher would take her leave and even threaten Constantine.. He would respond only with that same lazy, two fingered wave he did when the others greeted him before this... fiasco. Nope, her threats did nothing to bother him. It wasn't the first time he had a run in with the darker side of things. Just as he was slid his to-go cup, that was when Samuel decided to have a little chit-chat with him. Great. "As much as I do commend your sales pitch.. I ain't buying." John would look at him, shaking his head. "Alcohol in church is most likely frowned upon." [c]
(01:26:03) J. Constantine hesitantly would part lips, turning a bit to Samuel to look him straight in the eye. ""Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations." Drag would be taken. "Leviticus 10:9.." Seems as though John knew his bible too. Then again, he had to... Being in the business he was in. Letting him mull that over, John would gather up his drink and turn... Just in time to see that damn light appear and here comes the other side.. Fashionably late as always. "All is silent." He would muse, turning to Samuel. "Constantine.." He would say, eyes going to the angel once. "John Constantine." With a puff of smoke and a swig of his drink, he would brush right past the one who had just arrived and without a care in the world, walk into the darkness of the streets.[e]
(01:35:59) Angeli watched as the man decided to take his leave, giving no real regards to her. Rude. Not that she cared about that anymore. It seems most people have grown rather sour since the rise of Hell and the end of the world. She watched Constantine leave before sighing and shaking her head a little. She turned back to Samuel, who requested she help him get back home. Hesitant, the angel nodded, extending her hand out towards him. Should he accept, she would bring him back to the church... Or... Wherever it is he says to take her.
(01:40:04) Samuel Leo laughed in amusement at this guys reply to everything that was thrown at him. Honestly, Samuel had no ill will towards the man. If anything...Samuel liked his style so far. Even if it wasn't close to his. So he presumed, anyway. Samuel simply stood there, smiling at him as he spoke and explained himself as he started to walk out. "It is." he agreed. Lips parted to speak the bible verse, but before he could even say it, it was being said to him instead. Blue eyes widened as his heart pounded in surprise, and Samuel simply stared, clutching his bible tighter to his chest. What could he say? Of course, Satan himself knew the verses....Samuel knew that. But this...this was new. Still, shaking from his shock as John Constantine stated his name, just before he'd slip out that door when he faced the angel? Samuel spoke in a small soft voice. "Matthew 7:1-29. Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use >>
(01:40:19) Samuel Leo it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, @Let me take the speck out of your eye,@ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. It is not my place to judge what you turn to for comfort and peace, John Constantine. Nor is it my place to force you to choose. That belongs to you and you alone." Watching him depart as he shifted his blue eyes to gaze upon the Angel. In which a hand extended out in return for his request after a nod. To which, Samuel starts to extend his hand out, and spoke forth yet another passage. "Bless The Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, obeying the voice of his word!" Grasping her hand, he offered her a bright smile. "Thank you." Look at the little christian human Samuel.
(01:54:05) Angeli didn't say anything more to Constantine. She turned to look at Sam, who seems to know his bible. Honestly, if this were when she first arrived, she might've been really excited. But nowadays, preaching seemed to be more annoying to her. "Jeeze, dude. Let up a little on the versus." She laughed, taking his hand and in a quick flash, they were gone, bringing him back to the church she just so happened to have stumbled upon not too long ago. She released his hand and began looking around. She never really stopped to look at the church when she came here for the portals.. So she took the time to, now. "Your faith is strong," She stated, just as she turned around to look at him. "That's probably the only reason I've heard your prayers. Not many people believe in faith, anymore. I don't blame them."
