Arioch groaned, as he was sorting supplies. Today was the day. Saint Valentine's day; or something of the like. He had just brought in a hall from a nearby deserted town to collect fuel and scrap metal to melt down for bullets, so that the humans could use them. Arioch himself was not particularly fond of ranged weaponry. He looked to Lucifuge, who sat idly on a bench cleaning a Kanabo. "LUCIFUGE," he said, "AS WE SPEAK NOW, WE ARE DEMONS GIVING AWAY SUPPLIES TO HUMANS TO ENSURE THEIR SURVIVAL." He grunted. "I FOUND VARIOUS SUPPLIES. PLEASE, TAKE A LOOK. THERE ARE VERY MANY INTERESTING THINGS OF HUMAN CREATION AND I AM UNAWARE OF THEIR PURPOSE." He dug through the bag, flinging a propane tank toward the ceiling, and falling back on his head with a loud CLUNK sound, although Arioch didn't seem to mind at all.
Higanbana was drawn from the upstairs room to the railing when all of the noise started up. Her fingers wrapped around the rail while she leaned over, black hair spilling to hang around her face so that she better resembled an unsettling ghost than a human woman. Black eyes fixed upon the demons, first Lucifuge and then Arioch. There were no words of greeting. She was not exactly the type to say 'hello, how do you do'. Instead, the unreadable staring persisted and her position was held...She could stand very, very still when she chose.
Eric Caulson had returned to the church for the weekly resupply. He himself had been out and about, trying to scavenge a few things himself, but he hadn't had much luck this day, and he felt a bit disappointed in himself. Oh well, there would be other opportunities. As Eric entered the church, he stopped short upon seeing Lucifuge and Arioch. "You two again?" he said, hesitating to approach. He was still quite wary of the pair, even though it appeared that they were handling the supplies today. A brief glance was given to Higanbana as she stood at the railing, but no words were exchanged with her just yet.
Kamael had been away from the City for a long, long time... Ever since the realms had collided, doors had opened accepting those to wander the other planes... Kamael had felt the itch of adventure, and found herself wandering the world... But now, after being gone for so long, and knowing the true day it was, had found herself heading back, back towards the church she had first emerged from, longing to find those beautiful mortals, witness their love and affections of one another, having missed seeing it. Having missed seeing them all interacting. A cloak was wrapped around her, shielding her wings from view for the time being as she entered the church, brown eyes slowly gazing over the... Small... Crowd, briefly narrowing as she saw the demons, but as they were not attacking, she would stand aside, watching for the time being.
Lucifuge nodded at Eric. "Yes, us two again. I do believe that we are handling the supplies today." He stood up, and put his kanabo across his back. "Human in mind, cambion in appearance. Fear not, we mean you no harm. I haven't killed any humans for some time now." He looked through the things Arioch had brought. "Isobutane and propane, scrap metal-unnecessary for a handout, R.E.Ms, clothes, male and female, knives. Hell, you must've raided a damn Boy Scout camp. Some makeup, hats, and an unnerving amount of candles and mugs. Plus, a few full tanks of water and a few animals for the sake of red meat. Well done, Arioch." He turned to look at the rather small crowd. "Supply run's here. Take what you need, and if you have no place to stay, the church welcomes ye all."
Higanbana eventually moved away and lowered herself to sit behind the bars. She did not go down to join them. This was more home to her than any other place had become. Her eyes were on what people had wandered in and the demons until a cloaked being arrived. Her eyes were immediately upon the woman, widening slightly. Leaning closer to the bars, a hand wrapped around one while her head tilted. She began to speak quietly to herself so that barely a sound was made.
Eric Caulson slowly approached Lucifuge and Arioch, still wary of the pair. But if they were handing out the supplies today, perhaps they weren't all bad? "If you say so," Eric replied. "I'm more concerned about getting dragged back down to Hell again as a slave. But... you two don't seem quite like the other demons I've met. So I'm not sure what to make of you." He nervously smiled at Lucifuge before heading over to investigate the piles of supplies. He could use some new clothes, at least- as handy as these robes of his were, he couldn't wear them all the time. Sensing eyes on him, he turned to see Kamael, and gave her a smile. Another survivor, no doubt. "Looks like there's plenty for everyone," he said. "Come, take a look."
Kamael's brows rose as she witnessed the demons... Giving things to the mortals. Her eyes glanced over the woman, and then the man... Whom as far as she could tell only had the unfortunate luck to look slightly like a demon. "Hm.. Well this is unfortunate." Was murmured softly as she stepped forth. Hands moved up to the hood of the cloak to pull it down, eyes continuing to slide over the crowd before a big grin appeared on her lips. "Let's liven things up a bit more shall we?" Placing her hands to her chest, she would then throw them open, spraying a massive cloud of pink miss across the cieling of the room, slowly settling down across those inside the church... And they would find themselves growing thoughts, and feelings... Of the others inside.
Arioch looked down the church's aisle at Kamael. "WHAT ARE YOU DOI-" and suddenly, he howled in pain. Suddenly, he felt this strange feeling coming down, as he looked at Lucifuge. "I WILL PROTECT YOU!" as he suddenly swooped up Lucifuge, hugging him and holding him tight, almost crushing him with his full brute strength. The contents he was sorting spilled onto the floor, leaving a mutated cow's guts to spill over the church floor, and a carton of gasoline to be spilled over, spilling an odd amount of gasoline on the mosaic tile. The contents of the rucksack were no longer being well maintained due to Arioch's random burst of fascination with his companion demon, grunting loudly and belching. "YOU AND I WILL NEVER PART WAYS!"
Lucifuge struggled as Arioch grabbed him. "Huurrrk! You bastard, let go of me!" He couldn't even open his eyes or focus on anything, as he felt an overwhelming pain being squished by the giant goliath made from stone. "Augh, fuck!" He looked at the woman who just entered. "I can't believe you've done this." He struggled and attempted to worm his way out of the grip of Arioch, but it was no use. The monster was just too strong for him to move, and he couldn't focus his mind on one particular area; whatever this woman had done, it had affected his mind to where he could not even process his thoughts accordingly, as if they were all over the place. It's as if he was searching for something, but couldn't find what.
Higanbana's eyes darted upward, her jaw dropping slightly at the sudden cloud of pink. Quick side glances were made before she raised quickly to her feet, possibly with the intent to run away, but she was not fast enough. The mist settled upon her and was breathed in. Biyu swayed and then grabbed the railing with one hand while the other settled against her temple. Once the humming in her head faded, she turned to look down at them again. Her eyes found Lucifuge first. A faint blush rose to her cheeks while she quickly looked away.
Eric Caulson turned away from Kamael for a moment, as he fetched some more supplies for himself. Those candles would be useful to have around when he was working on his potions, he figured. But then he felt a strange pink mist falling down on him. Before he had time to realize what was happening, Eric began to feel very strange indeed. He dropped the supplies he'd been collecting noisily onto the floor, adding to the mess Arioch had made. Almost by instinct, Eric slipped around Lucifuge and Arioch and began to make his way up the stairs towards Higanbana. "You!" he called out to her, as he approached the railing. "You... are.. the most... beautiful woman I've ever seen!" He couldn't help himself, and he pulled the woman into an embrace, not wanting to let her go. What was going on?
Kamael grinned brightly as the mist seemed to work near instantly. Moving to settle herself down upon a bench as she watched those inside begin to respond, react to the beautiful Romantic Mist. "Ah yes... Feel the love, let it well up inside of you, let it flow out through your affections.." Was murmured aloud to the whole room, as she moved to lean back upon her arms, her cloak came falling off, her wings now bare and visible. "Embrace the love, don't shy away!" Kamael could feel her happiness now welling up in her heart, it had been too long since she had seen that amount of love... Even if she did need to nudge it along.
Lucifuge growled. "This spell is bewitchment. That is your first mistake!" Without thinking, his head shook violently, until he took one look at Higanbana. "Gods above." With one quick look, the demon was smitten almost instantaneously, although still at the grasp of the brute. "Unhand me, fiend!" Lucifuge, with a sudden burst of strength, blew through the arms of the Goliath, sending force backward enough to knock Arioch against the cobblestone wall, rushing forward. He looked at Eric, with a vile glare on his face. "Say no such thing! She is a beauty, but not your beauty!" He took his fist, with a backhand fist slam aimed at Eric's gut, then rushed up the stairs to follow Higanbana. "Ay, you are a queen if I ever did see one, milady. I've been drawn to you like a scholar to the remains of the library of Alexandria." He thought for a moment. "May I ask for a dance?"
Arioch grunted. "YOU NOT GOING TO LEAVE ME, LUCIFUGE!" Arioch grunted. But as he said this, Lucifuge propelled out of his arms with a great gravitational force, blowing Arioch intro the stone wall. "UUUUARGH!" he growled, falling over, shaking the entire church as he knocked against it. The tremros caused felt like a small earthquake, even knocking a few things over, like supplies and books. He ran past Kamael, nearly kicking her with his massive foot, looking for a way to climb the stairs without breaking them. "MY WORST ENEMY, STAIRS." He thought for a moment, and grabbed tight onto the balcony, finding a grip to pull himself up to where Lucifuge and Higanbana were.
Higanbana gaped at Eric when he called out to her. She held her hands up but she was in his grasp. Alas! Her heart belonged to another. She stretched her arm out, hand opened towards Lucifuge. "My love!" she called in a voice more clear than she ever normally spoke with. Her eyes were somewhat glazed and the color remained in her cheeks. Naturally, she was completely unaware of what caused all of this. Her mind was wrapped up with mist.
Eric Caulson continued to embrace Higanbana, eyes tightly closed. He couldn't recall ever having felt this way for anyone. Not in a long, long time, at least. "I..." he said, only to be interrupted by Lucifuge storming up the stairs and clobbering him in the gut. Eric was sent stumbling backwards as the demon separated the pair. He was heartbroken. "No! She is... she is... no..." his voice trailed off, though, as Arioch started climbing up the balcony, making the church tremble with his every move. "Ah! You! How did I not see before...?" Eric said, before trying to hug the fallen angel instead! Sure, Arioch was twice as big as the human, but that wouldn't stop him. His mind was totally lost to Kamael's romantic mist. "You're so big and strong! How could I not love one such as you?" Yup, Eric was completely lost.
Kamael's brows arched high when Lucifuge and Eric appeared to be fighting over Higan. Getting to her feet, she would use her wings to jump up onto the balcony to watch the going ons. However before she could intervene, it appeared Eric had set his affections on another, a soft smile appearing on her lips as she would stand back, watching curiously as Eric attempted to now woo the large... Demon. "What a wonderful valentines day... All the love in the air! Ahh it is truly beautiful!" Spinning around a bit she would move to lean against the balcony with a huge grin.
Arioch looked down. "EGH!" He grunted, trying to shake Eric off his foot as he climbed the balcony, aiming to send him flying upward..right into Kamael. He then looked at Lucifuge and Biyu. His eyes were totally set on Lucifuge. "YOU! HANDS AWAY FROM LUCIFUGE!" He attempted to pull himself over the ledge, climbing and pulling, but to no avail. He gave one last pull, tearing off a piece of balcony railing, before finally getting halfway over the ledge. He threw the railing over Biyu's head, missing her by inches. "EEEEEEEEEEEERGK!" He growled loudly, as if enraged. What a demon would do for love; he was insistent on getting Lucifuge back in his arms, even if it meant accomplishing it by force.
Lucifuge smiled. "Your smile is as lovely as the gardens of Eden, and you are as beautiful as the angels who protect it. If I may, young madam." He took her hand, and began to dance with her as if he was waltzing. Good lord, who knew a demon could be so elegant? He showed no reserve as he held her close, looking only at her face. "I shall protect you with all that I am, milady. For beauty like yours comes only once in an eternity." Lucifuge was completely delusional; it was completely unlike him to act like this at all, especially toward a human woman. This dust was making him absolutely delusional.
Higanbana threw herself to Lucifuge the moment Eric had turned his affections to another. A warm and gentle smile graced her face and brought light to her hazy eyes. She looked upon him with such adoration as he spoke beautiful words to her. "My heart is yours, my prince," she spoke with uncommon eloquence right as something flew over her head. The attempt on her life was missed for how deeply she gazed into the eyes of the demon she so deeply loved as of five minutes ago. "Without you I shall perish!" Mid-twirl brought Kamael into her view and, at the back fo her mind, she thought there was something important to note about that woman. Only a second, though, as her attentions returned to 'her prince'.
Eric Caulson's attempts to embrace Arioch's leg met with even more disaster than his attempts to approach Higanbana, as he was shaken clean off of the fallen angel's foot and right up into the ceiling, coming back down to the balcony with a crash. "Ow...." he groaned. "No... no!" He struggled to stand up, pulling himself up by what was left of the railing. And that's when he came face to face with Kamael, who had now revealed herself to be an angel. "Ah... am I doomed to never know love again?" he said, turning to watch as Lucifuge waltzed with Higanbana. He had to do something, but seeing as how Arioch was now trying to separate the couple, he was at a bit of a loss. "I love you," he called out to the woman, as he pulled himself closer along the railing, slowly but surely. "I don't know who you are, but I love you." He tried to grab at Lucifuge, making one last effort to pull him away from Higanbana.
Kamael yelped out when Arioch suddenly flung poor Eric away from himself with a simple shake of his foot. Kamael would hurriedly step back, her eyes widening as she stared at Eric as he spoke to her. "I... Wouldn't say that." And then he was back off now trying to win back the womans love, watching as he would pull himself along the railing. This was... Quickly getting out of hand, but she was sure it couldn't go too badly... Right?
Arioch growled. "You will not escape my hold easily!" With one grasp, Arioch held Lucifuge tight in his palm, gripping him with all of his might. He looked at Higanbana. "HE IS MY PRINCE!" He growled. Yelling, he proclaimed, "LUCIFER IS NO PRINCE OF DARKNESS AS YOU ARE THE PRINCE OF..ME!" Suddenly, as Arioch held Lucifuge@the floor beneath him began to give way. Well, not really typical of a structure to hold up after being built without regular and proper maintenance, supporting a stomping being weighing several tons. "NoOoOoOoo!" Arioch yelled, as the floor beneath him and Lucifuge caved in, falling through the floor, Arioch landing on top of Lucifuge through a brand new hole in the church's second story floor. Both demons were unconscious. Well, such is the power of love.
Higanbana wore her distress openly as Arioch sought to rob her of her heart while Eric tried to tear her away. Their stars were crossed! The world would not let them be! Songs would be written some day, no doubt. While one hand was held, her other stretched out to the falling demons. "No!" she called out with a voice heavy in despair.
Eric Caulson could only watch as the combined weight of Lucifuge and Arioch sent them crashing through the balcony and down to the floor below, where they both fell unconcious. "Ah! No!" he yelled out- he was still somewhat in love with Arioch. In despair, he turned back towards Higanbana. "Well... you... you're okay, at least? I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you." He made his way towards the woman again. At least this time nothing would get in his way, right?
Kamael gasped out when the demons went falling through the floor. Hurrying forth, she would make sure the mortals were far enough away from the hole to not fall and get hurt. "I never meant for any of this to happen..." Was murmured softly as she gazed down into the hole. Her brows furrowing together, she would look over to Eric and Biyu, then down into the hole again. Lifting her hand into the air, a simple wave would turn the remaining hovering pink mist white... Washing away all the new feelings the pink mist had embedded.
Higanbana turned a sharp stare upon Eric but before she could open her mouth and speak, the mist was upon her. She paused, her brows knitting as her eyes shifted towards the hole in the ground. If she had feelings about this before, only confusion registered and dismay. Samuel was not going to be happy about that at all! From the hole, she glanced to Eric and then Kamael. Without a word, she turned to rush down the stairs and flee the church.
Eric Caulson stared back at Higanbana, still feeling rather heartbroken. But just then, the pink mist turned white, and Eric blinked in confusion a few times. Whatever had come over him vanished in an instant. "What... what just happened?" he asked, looking around at the mess everyone had made. He could only watch as Higanbana fled the church, leaving him alone with Kamael, and a pair of demons unconcious at the bottom of a hole. "Oooh.. Samuel is not going to be happy about all this," Eric said to Kamael. "But you... you're really an angel, aren't you?"
Kamael looked over to Eric as he would speak to her, a sheepish smile appearing on her lips. "I'm an archangel actually... Kamael, the archangel of love..." Moving over to the hole she would gaze down into it with a frown. "I did not mean for this to happen... Please, if you see this Samuel person, tell him that I will help in any way I can to repair the hole I have caused in the church..." Turning towards Eric, her wings fluttered briefly upon her back before settling back down. "It was nice meeting you..."
Eric Caulson smiled at Kamael. "It... it's an honor to meet you, Kamael," he replied. "Eric. Call me Eric. It's good to know at least one archangel's still around." He brushed himself off and took one last look over the devastation. He still needed to collect his supplies before heading out again. "I will tell him," he added. "He does seem to be close to the angels. Maybe he'll understand. Or maybe not. We'll just have to see." Once Eric had gathered up what he needed, he would turn towards the archangel one last time. "You probably don't need me to say this, but... be safe out there. There's a lot of demons roaming around. Take care, Kamael." Offering her one last grin, Eric would turn and head down a hallway, heading back towards his refuge for the night, and trying to ignore the unconcious demons that had taken up residence at the bottom of the hole.
Higanbana was drawn from the upstairs room to the railing when all of the noise started up. Her fingers wrapped around the rail while she leaned over, black hair spilling to hang around her face so that she better resembled an unsettling ghost than a human woman.
