(20:08:48) Ayn didn't really understand why she'd sent that man off on a wild goose chase, maybe because she was bored? Or the voices muttering about inside her head kept saying it'd be funny to do so. Whatever the reason, it didn't matter now that he was gone and wouldn't be coming back anytime soon. Ayn had giggled like a madwoman when she saw who she then learned was some weird... carbon copy of Derrick. A name she knew but really didn't remember at all. Couldn't have been that important, right? Whatever the case, there seemed to be something important going on at the asylum according to the notes all over the man's desk and Ayn had nothing better to do.. Plus where else would you expect to find a clinically insane succubus after the world ended? An asylum seemed like a pretty good bet. Even though.. the place seemed to be filled to the brim with loud music, flashing lights, and alcohol. Odd place for a party.
(20:13:31) Eric Caulson clutched his gun firmly in his hands as he made his way through the woods towards the asylum. He'd heard stories about this place, ones that sent chills down his spine even after all the horrors he'd witnessed as a slave. And yet someone had decided to hold a party here anyway? It seemed like a strange idea, but Eric needed something to distract him from his troubles, even if it was just for one evening. The mutant stepped through the doors of the asylum, holstering his gun and looking around for a moment to see who else had dared to show up. It took him only a moment before he spotted Ayn, and he cracked a smile at her. "Hey there,' he said to her. "I have got the right place, haven't I? This is where the party's at tonight?"
(20:16:44) Arioki Tomoheno had been rather lost. She'd just arrived in the city itself, but found it to be a giant maze. She'd been in the midst of buildings, then woods... then another large building. This building, at least, had the sounds of music and had lights flashing inside. She slipped in, finding her way down the cooridors of the building until she came upon a room. She very carefully peeked in, a bit nervous and yet rather curious. Spotting someone cackling wildly, she winced. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to enter. A small dagger had been carefully hidden in a sheath built into the sleeve of her jacket. She scooted back to the shadows when another man approached, though a rather warm gust of air could be felt. He seemed friendly... but, she wasn't overly trusting of anyone. They had to earn her trust.
(20:25:54) Ayn hopped up on one of the old patient beds as she found herself completely alone in the abandoned asylum. Well.. mostly abandoned. She could tell there were a few demented souls that hung around, maybe because they had nowhere else to go or just had nothing better to do than frightening some unexpecting folks. That or maybe they were just waiting for a few morons to wander in so they could eat. Noxsine probably loved this place, not that she'd ever met one yet.. Ayn looked up when someone slipped inside, making himself know as he fumbled over his own words about the location of a party. Well.. he had the right place if you could call three people a party. That Derick person really didn't know how to throw a party. Or maybe he just wasn't liked? No one seemed to come to his little gathering. "Yep!" She scootched to the edge and kicked her legs for a moment, eyeing the man and soon a woman who sauntered in after him. She didn't need to hide her wings, did she?
(20:33:18) Eric Caulson thought he sensed someone hiding in the shadows nearby. The noxsine weren't going to try and crash the party, were they? As long as the lights kept going, he knew they'd be relatively safe. He started to approach Ayn, only to be caught off guard seeing her more demonic features. "Oh, shit," he said, stepping back slightly. "You're a succubus, aren't you? I should have guessed someone like you would show up to this." Eric shook his head for a moment. "Well, I guess it's okay, as long as whoever's hosting this party's okay with you being here. Who are you?"
(20:40:14) Arioki Tomoheno was no noxsine, she was merely lost. The two seemed alright though, so she would allow herself to become more visible. Her voice was soft, her fiery hair cascading down her shoulders. "Hello..." She blinked when she got a good look at the other woman, her eyes widening. "My mother... told me about winged women... You're..." She looked to the man. "Succubus... are we safe?"
(20:42:32) Ayn watched when Eric stepped back, startled by her appearance which wasn't the usual response she got. After all, a succubus with wings as small as hers? She wasn't seen as a "real" one, more of a defective one with those useless wings. But she couldn't help but let out a giggle as he backed away. Even more so when he went on to announce what she was, and the woman finally spoke as she was concerned for their safety. "Ladies are safe, you're not really that tasty to me..." She glanced at Eric and bit her bottom lip as she grinned. Ayn was her father's daughter that's for sure. "Derick's on a.. trip. Ayn got bored and had some fun before she decided to come here." At least she wasn't hungry.
(20:47:14) Eric Caulson heard a voice behind him, and turned to see Arioki emerging from the shadows. "Hello," he said to her. "Eh... Reasonably safe. She'd likely be more interested in me than in you, anyway." His smile slowly returned as he looked back at Ayn. He wondered for a moment what sort of trip Derick had gone on, but decided not to press the issue. "Well, in that case, perhaps we should get this party started?" he asked.
(20:55:10) Arioki Tomoheno stayed close to the man, her eyes fixed on the succubus still. "Party? Um... who is Derick?" A hand slid to the shoulder where her dagger was sheathed, the warmth around her body a gentle pulse. "Um... I'm Arioki. Ayn, yes? And... you are?" She looked at Eric. She was unsure of what was going on. "I am just glad to be out of the dark... there are some dangerous creatures out there. So, I guess a succubus isn't too bad. Hopefully not incubi are close at hand."
(21:05:09) The Observer watched from afar, as the being that was doomed to purgatory simply stared at the conversation with a face empty of life. His face seemed to have been reconstructed over and over again, each time worse than the last; grafted skin, streamed and sewed together - carbon fiber implants piecing together what would be an otherwise mangled body. His nose looked like a thimble, iron with a slight sense of rust, with some organs placed up against the glass of his mask. What was visible of his skin was severely burned, discolored and or scarred. His presence would go undetected by the party. "Chuteh hagathur ra'tu," he murmured under his breath, as an aura began to come from him. It was neither evil nor was it a good aura, but one of immense, yet indiscernible in origin, power. He remained behind a curtain, although there seemed to be a slight wind that blew through the room, and perhaps a sense of the room gaining a stronger feel of gravity, weighing down the objects in the room. Finally, his eyes would open; two void-like pits, with halos. The creature had awoken in the corner of the asylum, still its prisoner as he ever was. <<
(21:11:21) Ayn. Smart choice to not push on the subject of what this little trip of Derick's meant. It wasn't smart to push a succubus, even more, so an insane one. At least he had the right idea in who she'd be more interested in if she was actually hungry. "Derick had music already playing before Ayn got here." Probably because he was ready to accept his guests but Ayn had gotten in the way. "He's someone Ayn used to ease her boredom." Which was true in a way, the man had made her a little less bored before he'd been sent away. The mention of incubi had hazel eyes falling on Arioki while she let her legs sway off the end of the bed. "Daddy isn't around yet, Ayn doesn't feel him." She hadn't felt Damien near any of the places she'd been exploring, but she knew he was in this city as was some of her siblings. The noise and rumbling coming from the corner had her looking in that direction, tilting her head curiously at the creature talking in tongues. That was a language she didn't know.
(21:13:28) Eric Caulson nodded at Arioki. "Call me Eric," he replied. "Oh, and don't mind these," he added, gesturing towards his horns. "I'm not actually a demon. I just sort of look like one." He was about to set out to go find something to drink when he felt a strange wind blowing through the room. "Did someone leave a window open?" the mutant asked. He heard the voice too, but he didn't know it either. And he knew quite a bit of demonic, himself.
(21:21:53) The Observer stumbled from the corner room into plain view. His body was quite mangled, as if his mere existence was to constantly live in the most agonizing yet functioning body possible. His arms and legs were in various directions, and his eyes only stared straight ahead, looking at nothing. "Hagathur twa'hagg nuv uk ra'ta," would come from his mouth. His voice was raspy and deep, as if he spoke with blood and metal running through his throat. It was not man, nor was it demon, nor monster, nor angel of any kind. Rather, this odd being invoked a sense of great power and curiosity when looked at. "I sense dwellers who have wandered too far into the stretches of purgatory. Perhaps it is I who have wandered too far again to not know the auras of men and spawn." The room's heaviness would still be maintained, as the being struggles to stand upright, like his body would collapse into many parts with one move in the wrong direction. It was like he was a corpse, yet with animation. "Ye who seek shelter, turn back. This is no place for lodgers."
(21:36:02) Ayn paused as she stared at the creature with little interest. Honestly, did it think it was threatening or terrifying? If anything, all it did was annoy her as she stared at it. Whatever it was, the thing didn't make her frightened of plan to leave. He wasn't Daddy. "Can you shut up? Your prattling is making Ayn annoyed and you smell bad. Just go back to your hole." She flicked her tail at it as if trying to shoo it away like a stray mutt. This was supposed to be a party and with the music going, they were supposed to be having fun. Or as much fun as you could in an asylum. Alcohol would help, even if it wasn't as tasty as feeding off someone else.
(21:48:39) Eric Caulson watched as The Observer emerged from behind the curtains, and he shuddered at the sight. What sort of foul experiments had been conducted on this man? Had he even been human once? "We didn't mean to disturb you," he said. "We won't stay long. You can go back to your room, and we'll leave you alone. Shit, I thought this place was mostly abandoned..." He backed off, going over to a nearby table to grab a can of beer for himself.
(22:16:05) Arioki Tomoheno squeaked at the new presenses, opting to stay close to the horned man. Mutant, demon, or whatever he was, she wasn't normal either. "I... don't mind them. I'm not your average girl either, you know." The warmth emitting from her was likely sign enough. She shifted her eyes toward Ayn, then looked toward the beer that was on the table, her gaze moving then to the strange creature. "It's out of the darkness... I'm sure there are worse things outside than there are in here." She took in a soft breath. "Fire alone can only do so much to push back the darkness." Taking up one of the cups as well, she sniffed it before giving a sip. A wince was given, and she shook her head. "Ok... what is this stuff?" She'd never had a drink of alcohol in her life. Poor woman...
(22:48:54) The Observer shakes his head. "You didn't disturb me. I have seen many of your kind throughout the endless millennia. Humans are odd, yet humanity is the only reason I exist. I guess, in turn, that makes me just as odd as the lot of you." He walked over to the containers of alcohol. "One thing that has never changed about humanity is their constant need to intoxicate themselves. As a philosopher put it, intoxication is a leap of faith. Thought is a burden." This guy was a fucking weirdo, but there wasn't a degree of awkwardness in his speech. "Though, whether you are a human or spawn, it is still unwise to engage in such frivolous activities which would impair you. It is one thing to enter purgatory. It is another to engage in tomfoolery which would keep you there." He stared straight into a brick wall. "This is my room. This entire asylum is the only peace I know, as those who come here have no semblance of rhyme or reason."
(23:08:47) Akaicia:had mastered the art of navigating through purgatory - especially when it came down to locating the asylum. So many lost souls had found their way here, it was a fabulous place to fuck with people - things that go bump in the night, you know, all of that. She was relatively casually dressed this evening, wearing a pair of well-fit black jeans, a charmingly flattering corset top of the deepest crimson cinched up just right, and a black leather jacket covering her otherwise bare torso. Crimson waves of fire had been left to fall free, this was a party, wasn't it? What was it that the mortals said these days? "Let your hair down, relax!" Yes, that was it. The door screeched with protest and she opened it - her sense instantly assaulted by the sound of music, individual scents, and voices carrying through the dark. Disappointingly, Derick's scent was absent. Where had he gone? She'd expected him to appear following the incident with his daughter. Oh well! Akaicia entered the room occupied with bodies and instantly a gracious smile crept across ruby-red lips, "Well there isn't as many of you as I'd hope, perhaps I waited to long, hm?" Emerald eyes searched the dark, visualizing everyone as if it were daylight, she hadn't caught any of the conversations - music and all - but it was never too late to upset someone, was it? Eric caught her eye and she grinned towards the man, "Would you be a darling and get me a drink?" If he refused, naturally, she brush it aside (at first) and get her own.
(23:15:26) Ayn didn't know if this place had been abandoned for real or not, everything had souls or other creatures haunting it. What did you expect when the world seemingly ended? Honestly, she was surprised that any humans had survived the end. So to know that Eric wasn't really a demon, and simply one mimicking their appearance? Well.. she knew if her father was around he might not take too kindly to a human making a mockery of their bloodlines. Arioki's confusion at the alcohol had her glancing over at the cup and shrugging. "Dunno, something with alcohol." Whatever the exact drink was. It had to be a good one if Derick had put it out here before Ayn got in the way. The Observer continued on with his prattling and Ayn let out a shriek, bringing her tail down agianst the already crackling tiles. "You're annoying, can't you just go! You give Ayn a headache." She pulled her tail out from the broken tile and jumped off the bed to move toward the drinks. If she had known that something as annoying as that thing would be here, she wouldn't have tricked Derick. A glance was given to the vampire, but nothing was said since she was annoyed already.
(23:19:26) Eric Caulson looked over at Arioki when she expressed a distaste for what was in one of the cups. "That's beer, I think," he said to her. "I'm guessing you've never had that before, huh? I swear it used to taste better than this." Still, it wasn't too hard for him to swallow a gulp of his drink before turning back towards the Observer. That was an issue- why had he decided to wander into Purgatory in the first place? And how was he to get out? "Ah, come on," he said to the strange person, as he turned to stare into a wall. "These days, I'll take any chance I can get to unwind." He was halfway through another gulp of his beer when a familiar voice almost made him choke on it. Eric turned to see Akaicia. "Ah... hi," he said to her. He had not been expecting to see her again so soon. "Get your own drink," the mutant added with a frown. "There's plenty to go around."
(23:35:22) Arioki Tomoheno stared hard at the drink. "Y... yeah. I generally stick to water. This... beer... it is strange." She sighed. "But, not entirely unpleasant. I wasn't expecting the flavor though. I'm okay." She looked toward the Observer, shaking her head. "I've been told I have an explosive temper..." Actually, she'd found that one out on her own. But, it wasn't a figure of speech. Looking toward Ayn, she giggled lightly. "You are a strange one, Ayn. But, it's endearing. Purgatory... hmm... This is where we are? I definitely got lost then." She sipped at the beer again, the flavor not quite as strong. Though, when Eric seemed to be caught off guard, the young lady's ember-like eyes gave a soft glow, that fiery hair of her own almost becoming like flame. "Who...?" She felt a strange fondness toward Eric now, and was a bit protective. She attempted to put herself between him and Akaicia.
(23:46:18) The Observer interlocked his own fingers, looking at Ayn. "If you wanted to throw a party in someone's home, you should always check if the residents are there first. This is your own fault. Ra'ta guzzug." The Observer looked at Eric after he mentioned unwinding. "Hell is a calmer place, morphling. At least they leave you to your own devices. Restless spirits, like me, roam about this place. Comparatively, I am a fonder one to share company with. Even if I have no mouth to partake in your intoxication rituals, ra'ta." He analyzed the expression on Eric's face, noting the unsureness and irritation. "If ease is what's on your mind, I'm sure you'll be able to leave this place at the guidance of others and take your troubles to hops and barley in better company." He sat down on the cracked tile as Akaicia walked in. "Truly, this armada of guests is like the variegation on the blades of grass in the winter. Welcome back to the crazy house, Akaicia." He looked at the beer on the table, and made what appeared to be a mildly amused bodily jerk. "Now I know there's a motive to the party, instead of there being a bunch of rambunctious goons. I'll watch. That's all I really do, anyway." He grunted and moved toward the wall, watching the interactions with Eric and Akaicia, staring straight into space, taking mental notes.
(00:01:37) Akaicia feigned a pout when Eric shot her down. "I thought our quality time together meant more to you than that. After all, I let you go, didn't I?" That wicked grin charmed her features without failure as she made her way over towards the bar that had been set up at the far end of the room. Derick's scent was faint, he had been here at some point. With him in mind, she reached for a bottle of whiskey and poured herself a tumbler of the richly flavored liquor. She swirled it within the glass and then inhaled, sighed, and took a swig. "Nonetheless," her accented tongue redirected her train of thought, "I'd come in search of a friend, I won't be bothering you for long seeing as he's clearly not here." Another sip of the whiskey had her smiling over towards the small crowd. There were only two here that she would enjoy toying with. When Arioki positioned herself in front of Eric, the vampire let out a small tone of laughter. "Charming, look at you, about to burst into flames over this little piece of flesh!" She pointed towards Eric, smirking. The temptress was in a mood this evening - and not a particularly pleasant one. The Observer finally spoke and he genuinely earned a ravishing smile from the wicked woman. Her emotions had recently been turned back on and with those emotions came a wild temper and unpredictable mood swings. "Charmed, truly," she replied to the disfigured man who called the asylum home, "I see your burns have yet to heal, shame, you were truly quite appealing before." She lied, of course. But the beast amused her. Her time spent in the land of Purgatory had been filled with interactions with him. "You're not the only one that can play with fire." She directed those particular words towards Arioki, of course.
(00:06:21) Ayn looked up at Arioki when she said her name and went so far as to call her strange. Which would have upset her, but then the tall woman cleared it up by saying that it was endearing. Ayn always did like being praised. Grinning she let out a little bit of a purring growl, flicking her tail and spreading her wings out for a moment. "Purgatory isn't as bad as it seems, the hounds don't bother you if they're fed. If you're in a group and find one, just toss the slowest one to them." It wasn't the nicest thing to do, but honestly, what did you expect from a demon? Picking up a cup to fill with whatever this drink was that had been put out for the guests. The creature just kept going on and on, and Ayn flicked her tail in annoyance like a cat. "If I had been the one to plan this thing, I would have made sure that the filth was cleared out beforehand. Hell is worse than Purgatory, now will you be quiet and return to being the useless pile of nothing that you are?" Thankfully, it seemed to be doing just that and Ayn hopped up on the table so that she could sit down. Idly listening to the conversation that seemed to be going on between Eric and Arioki with the new arrival, while she leaned over to turn the music up a little louder. Keep the annoyance from actually being heard.
(00:11:18) Eric Caulson nodded at Arioki. "Yeah, I could have sworn the asylum was just outside the city," he said. "Not all the way down in Purgatory. I hope we'll be able to get back to Earth in one piece." And with their minds still intact. He glanced back at Akaicia when she pouted at him. "You did, yes," he replied, just as Arioki stepped in between him and the vampire. "Arioki, please, it's alright," he whispered. "I can handle this." It seemed that Akaicia was more interested in the Observer at the moment. If she was bold enough to come to Purgatory willingly, it was just one more reason for Eric to fear her. "Oh, I can believe that," he said to Ayn, when she mentioned Hell being worse than Purgatory. "I spent 20 years as a slave there. I still don't like thinking about it."
(00:15:56) Arioki Tomoheno's eyes narrowed on the vampire, and she was indeed about to blow a fuse... but Eric's words caught her ear, and she turned to look to him, her eyes still glowing. "You.... you're sure?" She had completely ignored the mangled man for now, he wasn't a threat. Ayn was fairly tame as well. It was the vampire that bothered her the most. But, Eric seemeed to be sure that things would be alright. She gave a soft nod, the 'fire' inside her slowly calming down. Though, she kept a wary eye on Akaicia. Her gaze shifted to Eric a moment when he mentioned having been a slave in Hell, and she frowned. "If anyone tries to take you there again... I won't allow it. And... you can call me Ari, Eric." Only people she liked were allowed to call her that though... how had he earned her respect so quickly though? That was a good question.
(00:20:32) The Observer intertwined his fingers at Akaicia's remarks. "Sixth-degree burns may take anywhere from 600 to 900 years to heal, I'm afraid. Though, you're always one to ignite the conversation." The Observer had a dry sense of humor, but it was good to see that there was at least some semblance of human in him. Looking toward Arioki and Eric, he shook his head. "Young pyromancer and morphling, calm your nerves," he spoke to Arioki and Eric. Perhaps you need more of your intoxicants before you set my home ablaze." He looked around at the asylum. It wouldn't be the first time this place has burned down, been bombed, or torn apart by large forces. Probably not even the fifteen-hundredth. Rebuilding the place gave him something to do, at least. As Ayn continued to denigrate the Observer like a child, he turned his head, for the first time, having his eyes stare right at her. "I desire nothing more than becoming a pile of nothing, succubus. And besides, when was the last time you walked into somebody's home and asked them to leave?" He looked at Eric and Arioki. They seem to have been genuinely confused as to how they got into purgatory. "Dear me. Did you wander your way into a portal here? Shame. Half of them end up here on accident, half of them died to get here and wander around until they figure themselves out. Looking at Akaicia, he extended his arms, as to stretch them. "I have a feeling you're looking for someone. There have been plenty of people here recently, though I don't keep time anymore, so I don't measure how long ago. I'll be glad to aid in your search."
(00:29:31) Akaicia truly was a little crazy, if honesty is the name of the game. Being emotionless normally made people dangerous, but it was Akaicia's emotions that made her dangerous. Not the lack thereof. "Purgatory, Hell, Earth, Heaven." She mocked them all as they bickered over which was worse. "They're all horrid dependent upon the individual and their abilities to endure specific trials and tribulations, it all depends on how you're geared." She waved a hand dismisively towards the bickering crowd. "Hell pleasant enough, purgatory is a walk in the park, earth is mundane, now heaven!" She laughed, taking a pause to sip her whiskey. "Heaven is truly the worst." They were all sharing opinions, she might as well put her two cents in! The Observer seemed to improve her mood. His humor truly amused her. In that, she took a couple more steps in his direction and sat herself down on the edge of the musty bed nearest to him. "Yes, his name is Derick." She replied in turn as he observed that she was searching for someone. "He was the one to set this up. Do let him know that I've been looking for him next time he's here, hm?"
(00:49:56) Ayn. Despite the music's volume being turned up the blasted thing still had a way to speak over it to them. If Damien was around, he'd likely just bansih the thing out of the asylum. Maybe even send it to Hell or just eat it. So many options and so little time to really go over all of the possibilities that could happen. He spoke to her and seemed to be trying to pull some sort of pity perhaps out of her? The route he went for it though was comical, asking a demon the last time they asked someone to leave their own home? Was he serious? She couldn't help but grin at him. "Usually, I just eat them since that's what Daddy taught me to do. You don't let food go to waste. But.. I don't think even Daddy would eat you, you look like someone already did." She was getting bored and the idea of hunting down a meal seemed more fun than this. Of course, as she hopped off the table the redheaded lady spoke up and she paused just as she was moving out the door. "Derick might be hard to find for a while, Ayn sent him on a trip before she came here." With that, she walked out humming an odd tune.
(00:55:10) Eric Caulson nodded at Arioki. "I've run into her before," he said. "I can handle her. I think." He gave the woman a smile. "You'd do that, Ari? Well, thanks. I appreciate that." He had questions for her, yes, but now didn't seem like the right time. He turned to look at the Observer once more. As freakish as he was, he didn't seem to be a threat. "I don't think either of us plans on doing that," he said. "Ah... I guess I must have. Those portals are usually pretty obvious. But then who would send out invitations to a party in Purgatory? Unless..." Eric started looking around the room nervously. The lights, the music, the drinks- it all seemed a bit too good now. Something was up, he just knew it. "Well, if you're like me, yeah," he said to Akaicia. "Heaven would be the worst- I hear I'd burn up the second I set foot in there."
(01:01:11) Arioki Tomoheno gave a gentle smile to Eric, nodding. She could see he had questions, though much as he felt, now wasn't the time. She gingerly set her own beer down, watching as Ayn decided to wander off. So much going on around them. She let her gaze shift back to Eric for a moment. "We'll find our way out. I don't recall coming through any portals, but then... wandering aimlessly for months on end, you do kinda lose track of where you are. I might have, and didn't realize it." She looked to the Observer, nodding. "I didn't mean to make you think that. No, I have no intent of burning your home down. The only time I burned anything was when I had to send my family off." A saddened look came across her face. She'd had to cremate the family that had adopted her.
(01:12:08) The Observer clapped his hands together. "Derick, hm? I'll see if I can trace any male auras in and out of here. Don't worry. Purgatory's not that big. I can find him in a matter of minutes." As everyone argued which reality was worse, he made his input. "The only perfections are either all things, or nothing. If any of these dimensions were of all things, there would be one single dimension, rather than four separate ones. However, nothingness. Death. To die is to be at peace. To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffering. Heaven's a bunch of zombies worshipping an unjust egomaniac, Earth is a cart being pulled in every direction there is by a different horse, Hell is the pot to piss in with the same monotonous, depressing behavior, and purgatory? All I must do here is shoo off hounds and spirits, rebuild the asylum every time someone destroys it, and talk to passersby. Every day for eternity. In my opinion, they're all quite sad. But digression, digression. Akaicia is correct. It is how you were designed that dictates where you belong. For example, I am mangled and destined to live forever. Such a being is not fit for purgatory, yet perhaps my existence would be more tolerable in the other three realms. Such is my punishment." He looked at the succubus. "Which is why you might not like it here. Nothing to fuck here but dogs and restless spirits. Believe me, you're trifling with forces beyond you." At the Derrick comment, he turned to face Akaicia. "Well, there's your lead." Turning to face Eric, his joints stiffened, as if to indicate seriousness. His voice grew even more deeper and garbled. "That is why God has rejected you, morphling. You are far too intuitive. The enemy of God is reason. That is why I am cursed to suffer here; for eternity has taught me the truths of the universe that even angels know not. Only the deceased ascend to heaven because the dead are easiest to manipulate, control, and feed from. It's easy to convince a dead man worship until the end of time. You're still a man, who clings to freedom and reason. To be accepted by God, you must lose your humanity." He then turned his glance to Arioki. "I'll show you the way out. I'd rather you not get eaten by hounds or haunted by ghosts. And ease your mind; my home is for all to enter, so long as they are at the very minimum, polite." Noting the sad turn in her face, voice, and body language, along with what she was saying, he nodded, understandingly. "Tragic. Not uncommon. The burden of loss only exacerbates the wisdom one has of understanding the design flaws in the cosmos. The peace of death, only for it to be torn asunder. A truly evil cycle." He sat down on a bed, looking at the party. "If you seek my guidance or wisdom should you end up here again, I will always be in the asylum. I love visitors."
(01:19:17) Akaicia glared in Ayn's direction as she spoke of Derick, but the woman was leaving before she had much of a chance to address the topic any further. A trip? What exactly defined that? But it wasn't much of a surprise. Well, his wrath would come sooner or later. Attention was back on Eric and his red-headed companion. "Would you like to test that?" She retorted towards his first statement about being able to handle her - if he only knew. "Perhaps we should test those rumors about heaven and flames? I do like to see things burn." Arioki was nauseatingly optimistic about finding their way out of purgatory. "How much more interesting would it be if you got stuck here for all eternity? I would love to see you two try." The Observer quickly ruined her hopes of seeing the two wander lost. "I appreciate your hospitality as always." He was someone she truly had no meaning to harass, not anymore, she'd already learned that she could not kill him. So why waste her time unless she was truly bored? "I will be on my way, now, I have other matters to attend." She directed her goodbye towards The Observer, mostly, not one to show such pleasantries to most others. Truthfully, she'd been disappointed by Derick's lacking presence. She was ready to get on with her evening. She stood and moved back towards the bar, taking the entire bottle of whiskey with her as she departed.
End of Event Collection Logs
