Golems: On occasion massive golems may find their ways on any of the Archipelago islands. It was theorized that these golems were magical constructs, mindlessly wandering at the bidding of some deranged mage. It was later found out that these “golems” are mutated forms of walking palms.
Their unique root system allows the “golem” to rapidly grow roots in one direction and creep the tree towards shade. Intensity and length depends on the duration of Sunshine – the Golems do not “walk “during the night. While inherently harmless while immobile the golem is carnivorous, should a sleeping so and so be caught in the path of a Golem it will settle atop the life form keeping it there until it dies and decays.
The golem then goes dormant for up to 7 years before moving again.

Spew root: Remnants of golem roots baked in the sun, the properties become medicinal, when ground and mixed with water it becomes a paste. The paste can be used as topical numbing agent, or ingested to induce vomiting.
