Brief History: As Solona has little to no desire to travel away from the Circle of Magi, it seems the most sense for her to be present as a historian instead. As she's a writer and an avid reader of the past. She would most likely be sent as a representative of the Circle, in charge of offering goods to other mages under the Wardens, and documenting their journey as they create history.

I'm trying to do the math since Solona is pretty young xD. Both she and roderick came from the Kirkwall circle though he left before the chantry blew up.
I'm assuming Kirkwall here means the Kirkwall circle.
I'm all right with most of her bio although it'll be good to work out where she was during some of the events in the DA story line as this setting is after Inquisition before I accept it.

Actually, since Solona is an Amell, she was born in Kirkwall itself. But they separate mages from families in the circle. So she was transported to Fereldan's circle, some of her siblings were already inside Kirkwall's and Ostwick's. And really that's where she's been the entirety of the time. She hasn't had any grand adventures or anything like that.
But- if I need to add some info instead of her being straight from the Circle, just let me know and I'll come up with something.
I apologise for the delay in replying. Hmm it'll be good to know where she was where she was when the circles fell as this is post Inquisition.
After Anders blew up the chantry, there was a Mage and Templar war and circles just dissolved. It's not canon how the Ferelden circle dissolved so we can roll with whatever. Could be just people leaving quietly or a huge uprising.

and I'd definitely say Solona isn't a fighter. She most likely stayed in Chantry hands. Whether that means they kept an eye on her, or locked her up, I'm not sure. If I had to pick, I'd say Solona would have kept low until the issue blows past. Most likely discreetly left the circle and did her best to stay away from the fighting. Perhaps Grey Wardens find her hiding and choose to take her to the keep? It would make sense considering she works as a healer and a merchant.

That works! A warden could have found her hiding and offered her some sense of safety to join the Keep since they're lacking a proper full time healer!
