(Socialising RP, anyone is free to post here and have your charas interact with each other, regardless of what missions they're on at the moment, other than Ithelana sorry T_T;;; due to the nature of your rp)

Breakfast was a noisy affair. The kitchen was running about with people in the morning, with the cooks yelling at each other. They were a tight group and food was placed in tubs at the long table for people to collect.

It wasn't anything fancy but they had bread, jam and today they had cheese! Tea of course was provided together with some coffee.

Roderick took some of it and sat down, sipping the tea quietly and just enjoying the morning.
Janella walked in, happy to have her mission over with. She'd had a bit of fun in Denerim, but had pulled herself away before she got into any trouble. The elf had brushed off most of the dirt from the road, she looked a little worn down but otherwise alright. She would rest soon, for now she was hungry and had gotten about sick of travel rations. Even if the breakfast was simple it was better than dried meat and hard bread. The elf sat down near Roderick, "Morning." She drank some of her own tea, happy to have some cheese, bread and jam.
After Windell left him in the dinning hall, Maul searched for a clean rag so he could take some food with him. Wile he did this he noticed the man who had been with the guards when he had first entered the keep. "Hmm, he seems to be with someone." He spotted the bracers on the mans arms. "So being a warden wasn't a lie, now he just needs to prove he is the commander." He thought to himself.

He finally found a clean rag and began gathering some bread, fruits, and cheese. "Now the jam. Lets see, lets see." He search trying to find it.
Vimes was dressed fairly casually but if one looked for the signs, it was there. Regardless of where he was, Vimes was always the Commander and it showed in his posture as he sat. It could be lonely at the top. After all, he had to make the call to send someone potentially to their deaths if needed.

As Janella sat down near him, Vimes looked surprised although that turned into a pleasant smile underneath that beard of his.

"Good morning Janella, how was your travel?" he asked politely. He hadn't expected her back yet, but was pleased that one of his wardens came back alive. It actually always pleased them when they did. He never knew when he was sending them to their death and even though the wardens had only one fate awaiting them, he always liked seeing familiar faces for he had lost too many of his wardens of late.

Spotting Maul, the mage narrowed his eyes a little. "We do have a Qunari visitor as well, seems interested in the records of the Keep."

Maul would find the jam soon enough. Marmalade.
Maul frowned, he never liked the taste of Marmalade so he just skipped the jam. "I should have taken some of the jams from home." He sigh as he wrapped up the food and thanked the cooks for the food before deciding to stick around for a few drinks. "I'm in no rush and I may as well see what kind of people theses Wardens are." He Though to himself as he searched for something to drink. "I pray there is still some kind of tea left."
((Ah the RPs are happening separately so you can be at both Maul!))
The elf noticed his look of surprise, wondering about it. "Long and tedious . . . but Denemir wasn't so bad. Managed to stay out of trouble." Mostly. She ate some of the cheese, thinking it had been good to get up to some fun. The road could be wearisome at times. "I'm in one piece, anyway. Any word back from the wardens that you sent to the Deep Roads?"
Runt seemed like a capable warrior, but the task was challenging.

Janella wasn't too much of a persnickety eater, especially after being on the road. Looking over at the Qunari with passing curiosity, she said, "Keep gets enough diverse visitors to stay interesting, at least. Picky, isn't he?"
There was always tea left! For the Commander, tea was a necessity.

Vimes nodded his head as Janella told him about her trip.

"That's good. We can ill afford any damage to our reputation and unfortunately no. Hopefully we'll hear something eventually but its not unusual for such expeditions to last a while so I'll give it a week or two more before I send someone after them," Roderick said with a sigh.

"I'm glad you and Rind came back alive... and well yes. The Inquisition took in all sorts and I suppose I should follow it's path. They aren't really that bad."
"Hmm... I wounder if they will let me." He wanted to heat the tea himself with a few of his fruits, but he doubted they would let him use his method of tea making. But a thought struck him, the supposed Commander may let him. "Worth a try, I'll offer to share some with him." He nodded and made his way towards the commander, leaving his wrapped food at his table.
Janella was not too picky of an eater and helped herself to what was available. After travel rations and being on the road, some biscuits and tea were like a luxury. She did like to travel but some amenities did help break up the monotony. At the Commander's words over their reputation, she though it was good she'd left before she ended up getting caught and in trouble. No quicker way to screw things up for herself, but what trouble she had gotten up to had been fun.

"I haven't met anyone too awful here yet . . . " she shrugged. That elf that had groped her pissed her off but he was dead now. "It is risky to send anyone out, you don't know if you'll see them again. If it turns out that Runt does not come back in a week or two, I could go and see what happened. I'll have had a break from my traveling by then."
Roderick nodded his head and sipped his tea quietly, eyes scanning the room as Janella shared her experiences so far.

"Everyone I send out, I worry for them, but it is necessary for wardens are the only ones able to safely kill the darkspawn... other than the Legion of the Dead. I do hope they return soon as well, but I suspect if we've heard nothing, it is good news. The Legion would have sent word if something untoward happened to our fellows... unless something happened to them as well, then that would mean something down there is capable of killing close to thirty warriors... and we can ill afford to send that many unless it is of immediate threat."

The commander spoke matter-of-factly. He had to be careful with his resources and people.

Seeing the Qunari heading in their direction, the mage gestured to an empty chair... hoping it'll be able to take his weight. He wasn't sure but if it could take an armoured warrior, a qunari in serabass armour should do fine. (Up to you if he breaks the chair xD)
Once he was close enough Maul noticed the elf that had been speaking with the possible commander. "Always give introduction when interrupting." He thought to himself before he gave a slight bow towards the both of them. "forgive me, but I wanted to ask if I could use some of the tea making equipment from the kitchen."

His tattered ears twitched at the muttering of the other wardens that were uneasy with a Qunari this close to their commander. "If you would like some as well I wouldn't mind sharing both a cup and the recipe with you and your friend." He added.
Janella had to stop herself from laughing, forcing herself to look serious, as she considered the irony. No news was good news, unless the messenger had ended up being killed as well. Taking another bite of food helped. "It'd be a shame if they didn't return when we have already had a loss, does seem like a risky assignment but those two ought to be up to the task."

The elf looked up whenever the Qunari came closer, and she didn't miss the mutterings of some of the other wardens. She actually looked around to see who he was talking about when Maul talked of her as the commander's friend. She'd never been called anyone's friend. "Oh, you meant me. I'd always like more tea." Janella looked over at Roderick for his answer.
Roderick smiled a weary smile.

"All assignments are risky. Such is Thedas at the moment. We take what respite we can get, when we can get it," he said with a sigh as he sipped his tea.

Roderick seemed calm at least, maintaining a friendly nature as the Qunari came closer. He had to set an example for his wardens after all. Though he'd give a smile to those who were giving the more suspicious eyes. All was all right.

"And... what sort of tea making equipment would you be talking about? The kettle or the teapot?" he asked curiously.
Some of the wardens relaxed slightly at the sight of the calm commander, though a few held their knives close just in case.

"I would need a kettle, a spoon, and a pari knife if you have it. I know you have the tea, water, and the berries I need." A thought struck him. "It may be wise to have one of them watch me do it." *He adjusted his shackles before speaking. "If it would be fine with your friend, she may watch me make it. I would like to avoid your people assuming I intend to poison you, and your friend seems observant." He said as his stomach growled. "Hopefully this moves quickly, I have so much work to do."
Janella glanced over at the Commander but otherwise shrugged and stood up, "Yeah, let's get it over with," willing to go to the kitchen and watch him make his tea. She could feel all the stares being directed at them and knew that it might ease the tension in the room if the Qunari was 'supervised.' The elf had finished most of her food and tea, and she was willing to go to the kitchen for the tea making and then move on with her day.

"Any assassin worth their salt could poison someone even if they were being watched by someone without a trained eye. I know what to look for, though," she said nonchalantly.
Roderick shrugged, gesturing to Janella if she wanted to. He had no problem with it. He was a lot easier around the Qunari, mostly because of his time in the Inquisition but extra eyes always would help.

The kitchen wouldnt have a pari knife but they did have a knife.
Maul gave a slight bow towards Janella before making his way towards the kitchen. "So, she is an assassin. I guess this is more or less a noble order. Hm, I may want to ask her some questions." He thought to himself.

He quickly grabbed the food he had gotten before entering the kitchen and began searching for what he needed. "Thank you for helping, miss?" He said while searching the cabinets.
Janella quirked a brow over his bow toward her, not used to too much respect. She was silent as they headed toward the kitchen and he found the things that he needed. "Don't much feel like I'm helping, maybe just watching to assuage suspicions. The Commander is at ease, which is helping with the rest," the elf shrugged. She leaned the small of her back against a counter, arms crossed in front of her as she watched him prepare the tea.
"They are Ferelden and mostly human, so I don't expect much." He said as he took out a container and sniffed. he was rewarded with the smell of tea. "Not the best. But if I must spin gold from dirty wool, so be it." He shook his head.

He put the container down and began searching for a kettle. "So, what were you before becoming a weapon? You don't have to look of a servant, so I'm guessing city elf." He found a kettle and began filling it with water.
