Hey all! Think of this board as your way to throw in updates for things that people might notice around the dream, as well as unofficial lore/rumors that might float around regarding your character, their actions, or even things they've discovered. For example:
Why is this useful? Because there are things that your characters do everyday that matter and shape the community! People don't realize that things like small crimes and even magical moments can make it through a web of whispers so that people are on the lookout. It provides a lot of great opportunity for roleplay!
Why should I post here? If you're looking to do something interactive based on what your characters have been up to recently, this allows for people to reach out for roleplay about it! It even provides opportunities for unique follow up opens and events.
Does it have to be something lasting? No, it could be something as simple as "There's a rumor that someone's been hanging out around the businesses in the Warrens after closing time" as long as it's something you feel can help generate people icly to talk about it/possibly investigate and allow for more roleplay opportunity!
Rumor Has It: There's a woman made of stone who wanders around in the West Wood. No one has gotten a picture of her- though a few have definitely tried. She seems to know how to blend, so well that you might think you hadn't actually seen her. But when you're lost, it's not uncommon for the trees to seemingly point you in the right direction to find your way back out to safety.

Rumor Has It: The North Woods has its own strange occurrences just like the other forested areas in Caribou Coast. Although the rumor of this particular woodland frontier isn't so terrifying as it is... odd. Multiple reports of hikers and mountain bikers and local foragers have all made claim that there's a random house out there, or at least they think there is. They've all claimed to have seen it, but every single individual who's found the clearing where the house supposedly was, it's never there. Just an empty clearing.
The word witch floats around with this rumor, and corroborating stories from the folks who have happened upon the house all believe it to be a witch's house. Ask the locals about it, and they'll all tell you the same thing. No one finds that house by accident. You were meant to find it. When you need it, you'll see it.
Those of Supernatural Abilities: You can indeed sense the house is there. It may not appear to you visibly, but if you linger in the area that you notice its magical presence, Chang may make the property appear to greet you.
Rumor has it that in recent weeks, there have been about a handful of sightings of an albino doe flitting through the woods. A few hunters have tried to track the rare critter but ultimately lost it's trail as it allegedly ventured into out of bounds territory. Here and there though, are whispers of a more fantastical creature that has made its home in the North Woods. Locals are a tad skeptical about the idea but they humor the stories and share it with tourists, to drum up more intrigue for exploring the national park.
Rumor has it That a line of seashells have been seen upon the beaches in certain areas only after the full moon, like someone or something is marking them off. Some people even claim to have seen an otter playing in the waters on those nights, but it is always absent in the weeks following until the next full moon.
Apparently houses hidden away in forests are common, because rumor has it a strange house has appeared in the East Woods, just beyond the campgrounds.
They say it looks like an ordinary suburban house, save for the fact that it is made entirely of ice. The air around it is no colder than normal, yet people become chilled just seeing it. Strange things have been spotted around it. A talking crow. A white doe covered in a veil of flowers. A titan twenty feet in height. A pale woman surrounded by auroras. A black stag that leaves death in his wake.
Those of pagan inclinations might suspect it to be the location of a Seelie Court. Some claim it to be a portal to another realm entirely.
In any case, a woman came into town just the other day, asking about setting up an internet connection for her house. She pointed at the rumored spot, but quickly got flustered and left.
