Emit: [#] If you got it, Flaunt it. Someone's brought a ton of booze to the beach. Vodka, rum, beer, tequila, even the ingredients in a box to make other drinks if you want to bartend on your own. That same someone has put up a bright sign up of 'FREE PARTY' as well.. And.. There's also a scruffy brown mutt running around. Hopefully well behaved. Say hi to the doggo, get yourself some booze. Throw your phone on bluetooth (Seriously, there's a bluetooth speaker) and enjoy the Spring Fling. `Join Greth on the beach! (Open for any and all!) - by Greth

Logs

Greth, for one, was having a fantastic day. Cerberus, the scruffy brown Australian Kelpie/Pit Bull Mix was actually BEHAVING today and being a good boy. Enjoying the sunshine and.. The demon was actually able to get the dog to settle down somehow. Maybe training lessons had paid off! Who knew? Hopefully Cerb would behave with a crowd this time. Energetic doggo that he was. Converse shoes, jeans, black t-shirt. Yeah. That was fine for Spring. Jacket wasn't worn today because he'd be damned if it got destroyed at the beach with the doggo loose. Sign set up, bluetooth speaker at the ready on a crate, booze and extra box set up with sign? Check, check, check. For now, the lavender haired fella lounged on one of the beach chairs and sipped his own drink. Don't worry y'all. Cups are definitely provided. Plenty of them.. As well as trash bags to put litter away in, ya litterin' heathens. Music of choice for now was.. Rock. Yep. For the time being, until people showed up? Greth was gonna tap away on his phone.

Missy Kissinger had put on a swimsuit, grabbed a sheer over-robe made of long chiffon, wedged wooden heels with stappies over pedicured toes. She hopped out of the powder pink jeep parked nearby and walked over toward the beach. She had a pair of earbuds in. A large straw wicker style beach bag had the neck of a wine bottle sticking out. Towel slung over shoulder. She saw purple hair and giggled happily. She moved to throw herself on a nearby chair. "Hiyaaaa" She nearly sang. "Fancy meeting you here." If he sent her a text she missed it, or forgot about it. Bubblegum head. She shrugged off her robe and laid it over the back of the chair.

Domitus had been on a drinking... hiatus if you will, but that didn't mean that the call of music, sand and alcohol couldn't get to him. Too bad he wasn't here as a dog; he'd like to play some damn frisbee right about now, but as it stood he was already here with tanned skin swim trunks and the tiniest patch of chest hair you ever did see. He'd be waxing that soon. Looked like the party was getting started without him, but luckily he was confident and friendly enough to wander over and invite himself in. "Well this looks cozy," he hummed. "Is this an all access gig or am I stepping on toes if I hang out with you guys?"

Greth's doggo, Cerberus.. Was still being a good boyo and laying down. Tail tapping and all. Thank GOODNESS. Missy had arrived! Which, Greth sat up with absolute glee. Look at that cute swimsuit! And all the pink.. So much pink.. Even the jeep. Did anyone ever get sick of that much pink in their lives or was Missy going to end up like the famous 'pink lady' or 'green lady'? "Hiiieee," He grinned cheesily, setting his phone momentarily down to the side. "How ARE you? So good to see you. Welcome to the party." .. Well.. It was a tiny party, but still.. And it didn't take long for Domitus to show up either! ... But Greth didn't know Domitus, did he? So he'd whip right around to face the other, keeping up his welcoming smile and throwing his arms out- as if for a hug. No. He wasn't asking for a hug. He was being polite. "Hey there! Welcome, too! Feel free!" He'd hold an open palm out to gesture to the boxes. "It's a free for all. Mix yourself something, throw on some jams. Cerberus shouldn't bother you-.. Shouldn't." A stare was given towards the mutt, and a slight squint. That dog was still unpredictable sometimes. "The last time I brought him to the beach, he was trying to eat crabs. Got pinched." Attention snapped right back to Domi, hand held out for a shake. "Hi, I'm Greth. To whom do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

Missy Kissinger was definitely not on a drinking hiatus but she wasn't out to get white girl wasted. Fairies liked sugar in all forms. Alcohol was no exception. She looked to Dom through plastic framed over the top pastel pink sunglasses. She pushed them up over her head. She felt warm. Very much so. Wind seemed to die down around them despite it being a very windy coast. "Very cozy. I don't mind." She smiled brightly, patting the nearby chair. She looked to the newcomer curiously, since Greth asked for her."Awww....don't eat crabs buddy." She pouted over to the dog, shaking her head. Attention back to Greth. "I brought a veeery special wine." She said lightly. "Old and expensive." She pipped. She pulled out a bottle of wine, label in latin. It was a light white wine with enough blackberry and some kind of pearly sheen to it when you shook it up. It was lavendar colored. "Thought of you."

Domitus took the offered hand, happy to meet anyone with a friendly face. In his wilder days he'd be flirting it up with him, but he was semi-locked down now and a little less willy-nilly about it. "Domitus," he offered. "Nice to meet you both. I gotta say.. I didn't expect to love the West coast so much." Granted, with it being the rainy season the beaches weren't always free for enjoyment but it was definitely great for days like this! "I'm not terribly hard to please, though, so there's that." He had been all over; the Navy had taken him on Adventures to say the very least. "You just felt like throwing a free-for-all party, huh? Pretty nice of you."

Greth nodded softly to Missy, one more glance given to the doggo. Which.. Cerb apparently found interest in some beach birds. Let him roam and bark, right? Run doggo, run. He had tags. And he'd be back around if Greth called for him. Can't expect the dog to just sit still the whole time, after all! Greth's attention slipped to the special, pretty pretty wine. "That's so precious." Hands were held out for 'gimme gimme'. "Let me see that closer?" Wait- oop, he was turning right back around to shake Domitus' hand. "Nice to meet you, Domitus. Once, a long, long time ago, once upon a time, I lived on an island.. But I got sick of it. Then I traveled, lived in New York and now I'm here." Ay. What a journey. Nobody asked for all that information, buddy. Get in that sunshine where ya could, man. He'd lean to make another grabby hand at Missy. You know what he wants, gal. "Yeah. I have the money to waste.. And the time right now today to spend. I should be opening my roller rink right now but.. I keep putting it off I suppose because I feel I don't have enough staff to run it if I'm not right immediately available?.. Soon." .. He kept saying 'soon' for months now. C'mon, Greth. "Also, I'm terrible around crowds after a certain period of time. My nerves get worked.. But I have good days too. I like being social but.. Everyone has their moments, right?" He'd stick the tip of his tongue out slightly, then retracted it, glancing over where Cerberus had run off to. Chasing birds? Ah. Dogs did that. Not like he'd catch any. "The rink is gonna be called Rollin' Dreams, by the way. It's got a cute, dunky little 80s aesthetic design to it. Gonna be a blast. Custom skates, too. I plan on having it at least around down by the mall, so there's more traffic."

Missy Kissinger smiled over to Domitus and nodded. "Yeah, it's usually too windy here." She agreed with Dom. "Sometimes I just hope my diet pills make me numb enough to everything." That was said in such an upbeat way it must have been a joke. "Beach parties ar THE best, to kick off summer." She pipped. "Is it summer officially?" She was so disconnected from the seasons at this walk of life. She gave a breath when Greth spoked about the roller rink. "I'm excited, I've been hoping to find one. I love disco nights, and I used to do roller derby in Callliiii." She did a singsone tone to that last part. "Think we could maybe do roller derby?" She grinned. "If theres a need for it. My ex best friends girlfriend looks like she does roller derby or something..." She bit her lip. "Thank you for the party by the way. Glad you're more social today."

Greth would have given a wave to Domitus because he had to go! An emergency or something! Must have been! Ahem. So, Greth's attention was right back on Missy, turning to fully face her and lightly take the wine bottle away. Just to inspect, don't worry. He was holding it up to the sunshine and giving it a little shake before handing it back with a pleasant smile. A glance back at Cerberus who.. Was apparently snapping at air for birbs. Running a bit far there, the demon would give a long, drawn out low whistle to call 'im back. Lo and behold, it worked! He'd pluck the dog up to scruffle doggo cheeks before letting him go again so Cerb could run back around. "Summer starts in like.. The middle of June." As for the roller rink.. Oh, Greth was excited, too. "There can be a disco night every week. That way, nobody is left out. Roller derby? No problem. I can easily host that. Just gotta get some walls for the inside of the rink and it'll be good to go. No one under sixteen," he warned, "I ain't responsible for brats." He'd shrug, pointing to the bluetooth speaker. "Feel free to change the music up if you want, Barbie. And.. Yeah. Believe it or not, I'm actually sober today. Go me."

Missy Kissinger blaaahed when she was informed summer was still a ways away. "It needs to hurry up and get here. It's been way too chilly." She sighed and hmmed. "I personally would only go for the adult events. I don't need to run over some kid with one of those PVC pipe walkers." It would be like breakdance baby all over again. "Disco night would be awesome. I bet we could get that guy with the lambs to wear some of those hot-pants. I mean. I'm sure it wouldn't take much convincing." She grinned. She wasn't making fun of JimJam, she loved his aesthetic. Plus he was a witch. Horah. "Sober?" She looked around to all the booze and sighed. "Well, you should still have it. I brought it to the beach and it's lavendar. Its not a coincidence. You don't want me to pick music. It will just be a bunch of chick vagina power rock."

Greth had to have put his drink down somewhere, right? Shit. How could he forget? People show up and all of the sudden he gets distracted. Whoopsie doopsie. Drink would be taken back up to sip at with a shrug. "Well, damn Barbie. I can't control the weather." He'd been waiting AGES to say that. Yes. FINALLY. "It's pretty much only an adult venue. I don't serve booze there, but you can definitely bring your own." Wait. He could keep that wine? Greth would definitely take it back and put it beside himself to keep. "Cupcake? Isn't he always wearing shorts? Cutie-patoot like him would definitely fit the aesthetic of the place." Oh. Yes. Sober. With booze around. That must have been hilarious. "I mean like.. Drug-wise. Sober." Half of jazz hands given before he downed his drink, pulled the trash bag over- weighted, mind you, so it didn't blow into the ocean- and deposited his cup. "I do want you to pick the music. Don't be silly. I don't care if it's chick vagina power rock. I'll jam with you, honey."

Missy Kissinger chuckled when Greth said he can't control the weather. "No? Oh. Well. Sucks to be you." Nose wrinkled playfully. When he mentioned cupcake she squeeked. "Yeaaaah. Cupcake. Exactly. Stick some quads on him and get him out there." When she was encouraged to change the music she hmmmmed. The pixie got up and moved to the stereo to get a playlist going. She had them saved to youtube. If she had to use her phone she would. Music played, and the girl kicked up her heels in a playful dance move, followed by a sidestep and extension of arm, pulling invisable rope. It was kind of Japanese style dance move.... just a quick set of moves on her way to the table with the drinks. She took this opportunity to make herself a vodka soda and skipped her way back to the chair. "oOooooo dont stop push it now and I will give it up to you...."

Greth raised his brows slightly. Could Missy control the weather? HMM. Unless that was the joke. "Cupcake is my nickname for him. Get your own." Everyone got one special nickname from Greth at the least. Cupcake was his nickname for Jimjam. Step, yo. "Yeah, if he wants to skate, definitely." Yep. Gonna have to play that music from the phone. Doggo was still running. Good to get that energy out. Don't want Cerb ripping the furniture up. As for the music that played? No, Greth hadn't heard that song before. He somewhat deadpanned but wiggled in place side to side to the beat. "Can't dance, recently had surgery," he'd excuse. "Otherwise totes would." He was gonna pop that wine open to sip though. Right from the bottle. It was his now. HIS. Why drink while recovering from a surgery? .. Because fuck da police. "Nice song choice, Barbie. Gotta give it to ya with taste. We can put it on the playlist for the rink."

Missy Kissinger could do charms for weather's favor. She couldn't derail serious forces of nature. Bubbles of windlessness where the sun kind of hit well. Mini greenhouse effect spells. The like. She'd just have to consult book. She just let youtube take ther reigns for similar style music, crossing her ankles and sticking the cherries she threw in the drink with her straw. "You had surgery? I'll totally stay and help you clean up then." She insisted. That lavender pearlescent blackberry fairy wine was definitely his. It helped your mood as well as got you drunk with minimal hangover. Best shit ever. "Thank you. You should let me DJ sometime." She poked out her tongue. "I'll dress in like a get up, and do like stupid contests. Like limbo. On skates." She clapped her hand on her thigh with a 'HAH' "Sorry, it's totally your thing. But seriously. I want to DJ at least once. Like. For free. I'll even pay for my food or whatever."

Greth nodded, pointing to his side. "I got a new spleen." Did he really need to say what happened with-- "Donated the old one." Yes. Donation. Don't need to spread more light on that. The basic was laid flat and that's all that was really needed. He was sipping down more of that wine because hot damn that shit was delicious. "Thanks." Yes. Help clean up. Less work on him to clean up and pay attention to where his dog would be during that process. Apparently Cerberus had trotted back to sit. Good boy. "Sure thing, Barbie. You can DJ all you want." For free? Fuck, yeah. Do that for a hobby, girl. Greth was a busy man after all! "That sounds so damn cute, too. Go for it. Any time you want. I'll try to open it this month. Everything is already set up inside.. The skates are all arranged. There's a stereo system, wall mural.. I just.. Gotta hire more people and open the doors." What time was it now? He hadn't bothered to look. "We're gonna have such fun, Missy."

Missy Kissinger frowned. "Oh well Im sorry babe. At least you have a new one. Do people even need their spleens?" She asked curiously. She squinted at him when he mentioned donation. Wouldn't the point of donating be..... She shook away the thought and sipped her cherry tinged vodka soda. "What a good beastie...." She did her best to immitate Greth when cerberus came over. Some animals didn't like her. Some animals loved her. Some could sense she was a dying flame and made her feel terrible because they just stared. "I can't work there work there. I got my own business to run.... but.... I will totally go as much as possible." She chuckled. "Even if I can't DJ. Eveeer."

Greth raised his brows up high. "Oh, the old one was perfectly healthy. There was nothing wrong with it. Someone just wanted it. People do need spleens as far as I know." And, here he was side-eyeing the dog, just for a moment as he sipped away. Little bit faster. Good stuff, yo. There was the squinting. "I sold it." Oh. Honesty. Cerb WAS being a good beastie! Sitting there, wagging his tail. Good boy. Greth had tried to work with him more lately. Last month Cerberus was hard to handle. He had his up days and down days. Apparently Cerb wanted pets, 'cause the pupper was nudging. "Hey, if you wanna do shit for free, feel free. You've got an open invitation to DJ." Whatever drummed up business and word helped too, but.. Hey. Free DJ sometimes. Can't lose there. "My apartment is just like.. Down the road so if you wanna carry stuff for me~ That'd be great."

Missy Kissinger pulled her see-through robe over her shoulders from the chair. She nodded when he spoke of spleens. "Well that was good of you to donate your spleen." She said lightly.... then the truth came out. "Oh well thats fine." She didn't know how to respond to selling one's spleen. She pushed herself up when he mentioned that the apartment was down the road. She moved to start getting things together with him, loading things, stacking empty cups, throwing away spent ones. She moved the trashbag over to the proper dumpster once everything was cleaned up that needed to get tossed. She went ahead and lit a cigarette for the walk home. She could multitask. The vanilla smoke hanging out of pink lips. "Of course, I totally offered, anyways." She gave a grin.
