Logs

Alanala had been excited about this art gallery opening for weeks, she had been looking forward to it ever since the gallery had first contacted her about portraying her art. Having finished a few last minute pieces the week before, she was now primped and ready to be displayed along side her artwork. Dressed... Appropriately, she was wearing a pretty pastel blue blazer, with a white button up, and a matching skirt, her hair pulled up into a pretty french bun, along with the new addition of a silver septum ring with a white opal. She was waiting, beside the refreshment table, as she'd watch the front doors as they were unlocked and opened, allowing people to finally come in. Despite being excited for the event, she also looked... Tired, and not as excited as she perhaps should look. Her hands remained folded in front of herself, glancing over her artworks. A lot of her stuff was more on the side of landscapes, a few abstract pieces, but they all had one integral common theme... In one way or another, there was a unicorn in it, either in the background, in a blob of color, or front and center, there was always a unicorn portrayed in each and every one of her paintings, no matter what it was.

Desoto blew the remaining water from his nose, before drying his face with a towel. Timing, as ever immaculate --was this the work of a higher power or sheer dumb luck?-- Desoto had glanced at his phone, and noticed the messages. Had Alanala told him before about this? He remembered her gallery, but... eh. Sweeping the texts aside with his thumb he'd instead go to his call history and press re-dial. Considering how small his contact list was, be it three guesses who it happened to be on the other line. "Hey, feel like staring at art for awhile?" If the answer was yes, Raven would text the coordinates and then return to his bedroom to get ready. Given the harsh and unbecoming weather as of late, the simple outfit was made to be properly accentuated by the coat he wore. From there it was meeting Dominic along the way, and, with the gallery in front of them. Enter, Desoto keeping hands to pockets, as was his norm.

Brontes wasn't sure if he had wanted to go, lets be honest. The only thing he got out of this was some art, but he was sure he would give Alanala the eye of death at some point unless he managed to keep himself compartmentalized. He'd put on the pink crystal necklace, charmed to help him with his moods and took a deep breath as he left to meet with Desoto. He was dress in his usual, a white tee shirt that was ripped to hell, a statement all it's own, and jeans of the same condition, while his hair had been properly tossed up into a wild, curly man bun and his feet with brown, converse shoes. He would glare at Desoto if he said anything, ANYTHING about his clothing. Once in the gallery, he was having much of the same form, hands in his pockets and a sour expression. "Why are there so many fucking unicorns?"

Ujin had been more excited for the event than most would think but the rabbit just liked decorating his house with pretty things. He was surprisingly dressed rather conservatively - for him - a button up over a pair of nice slacks. Might be that he had a meeting after this with some rather important people. But he couldn't resist dipping in here first. His gaze flitted about the room at all the different pieces, Ujin liked to exist in a neverending bubble of energy and restlessness. Alanala was spotted, recognized from easter but she.. would probably not recognize him. Considering he'd been a bit furrier there. The other pair were given a nod of greeting if they looked his way and he hid a smile when there was the question as to why so many unicorns. Why not? Unicorns were pretty. He'd find his way to Alanala and nodded, "Lovely pieces. Were you planning on selling any?"

Keyton probably should've been the last person at an art gallery; what with the fact he was still mostly blind. He had heard the name of the person whose gallery was on display though and honestly? Even if he didn't have a clue what the art looked like he intended to buy a piece...or ten. He had felt bad the way things had gone at her charity event, supporting her here was just an easy way to make up for that. The gallery wasn't hard to find and despite the fact his eyesight was not great he was maneuvering through the crowdds with ease. Perhaps he was just practiced at it; perhaps there was magical influence at work here, it wasn't like he was going to tell his secrets. Slipping through the door he eyed Desoto and Dominic for a brief moment, frowning at the latter exclamation. "It seems to be the artists signature, a common theme to identify her work. Since you noticed, than they're being effective." Speaking of the artist his head turned slightly to Ujin, turning to approach him and Ally. "I'd also be interested in knowing if you are selling any." he offered a friendly enough smile to the woman, silver hues flicking to Ujin once more. "Do I know you...? There is something...oddly familiar." he remembered most of who he met, but for some reason he couldn't place Ujin.

Mingyu was patterns on patterns, shock of red hair that matched the stones in his big costume jewelry, black sheer floral shirt over teal swirled ink silk top, tucked into what could've been designer jeans, painstakingly ripped at the knees and light washed, cuffed to tighten at ankles where feet were in, for once, not Crocs. Chelsea boots had hints of color with jewelery that matched the rest on the druid, and he'd thumb at bottom lip, teal painted nail catching on piercing as Ming let his eyes take in the gallery. Refreshments table and the artist got a boxy smile and eyes glinted in humor at seeing a friend looking a little more monochrome than usual, free hand not fiddling with oral fixation tucking into back pocket as he began to take in the art even as he moved to bump elbows with Ujin, catching Keyton's trailed off question but not piping in with a guess, snagging finger foods as he waited for a lull in the conversatio. Social butterfly for once would mind his turn.

Alanala smiled when she first saw Desoto come in, of course it faded slightly when she saw Dominic... She wasn't sure how he was going to speak to her... But still, being cordial she approached Desoto. "Hey, glad to see you're here I..." Her words dying away as Dominic asked why there were so many unicorns in the paintings. Clearing her throat she would nibble nervously upon her bottom lip, about to respond when Keyton and Ujin came up, both asking about buying her art, and Keyton explaining that it was likely a signature, making her smile at him appreciatively. "Um yuh-yeah, that..." She chuckled out softly, trying to calm herself before turning to both of them. "Yes, my art work is in fact for sale, but you will have to pick it up after the gallery is closed..." Couldn't have the artwork walking off the walls while they were still being shown. Her eyes peered curiously at Ujin, gazing at the man for probably a bit longer than necessary. 'Sorry, do I know you? You seem awfully familiar." Alanala shook her head gently after a brief moment. "I'm Alanala, it's a pleasure to meet you sir, mind telling me which piece catches your eye most?" Ally had no clue how to price her artwork, so eyes flicked to Desoto slightly desperately. "Please let me know and I can let you know the price." A sheepish smile was given as she would nod to both of them before looking back around to see if there was anyone else new in the gallery, and would you look at that, there was! With a polite smile, she would approach Ming. "Hello there, welcome to my gallery opening, please do enjoy yourself, have as many refreshments as you'd like, there's more in the back... I'm Alanala." Hand offered politely.

Ujin seemed a little bashful over the attention from both Keyton and Alanala, it just happened when he decided being a rabbit was more fun than running around as a human. People still felt that tug of.. 'hey, I know you'. He cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck with a slight grin, "Ah, I go to a lot of public events here in town, really social. Last one was Easter though, been.. busy." Understatement. He blinked a few times at Keyton, one of his two new.. 'dads'... from that day. "Where's.. the other one?" Smaller.. and his actual new dad. He nodded at Alanala, glancing at the other two to see what pieces they'd be looking at. "I'll take some time to pick a favorite." Biggest smile ever at that one, it meant he was gonna be here long enough to enjoy his fair share of refreshments. Ming's entrance had him practically vibrating in place but he held back from pouncing him playfully. Something about being scared of being thrown in the ocean. "Ming! Look at all the art, so good."

Desoto unsheathed one hand in order to place it gently atop Ally's head, if she gave permission. A ruffle, not enough to mangle her 'do, before arm retreated back to it's former position. "Eya n' gud morrow t'yeh." Abandoning all efforts to conceal yourself, huh Des? "You shoulda told me when this was. I don't look good dashing outta the house last-second." Your current state begs to differ, but ANYWAY-- "Because the artist is a unicorn, dummy." Furtively. Dominic's glare would be given a kiss, even if it meant doing it in public. Maybe that was the point. The look for help was given a, 'uhm, wot??' expression before Ujin 's words dawned. Ohh... uh? "Why would I know??" Whispered, somewhat exasperated. Making up a number was the best he could do; Desoto never fancied himself a proprietor of the fine arts... unless said art involved food. If she was still unsure, Des would hold up two fingers. Hopefully that was understood as the quantity of monetary transaction and not... a random as fuck peace sign. "I could buy you one of these," Murmured to Dom, subconsciously trying to grab for the Demon's arm.

Brontes Wanted to tell them it was a fucking rhetorical question, and really not said in any sort of exclamation. He didn't have a loud voice after all and well perhaps the walls were just that fucking echoy. He gave her a soft smile. Like he didn't know what she was, he knew. He didn't need Desoto to remind him either. He would keep his venom for Desoto's sake, even if all he wanted to do was set her on fire like a wicker man, although Desoto's whisper earned a wrinkling of his nose and a soft laugh. "I don't think that'll happen," he rolled his lips at the posibility of him going to jail, but then Desoto was grabbing his arm and he sighed, almost happily before motioning to the picture and looking to the lot of them. Hello, fellow artist here. "By the technique and possibility of an upcoming artist, I am going to guess that the value of these pieces would be set no lower than $200, and with increasing complexity to the art, you would value it at at least a hundred more to the basic pieces of Alanala's work. As she grows in value so will her works. Now would be the time to take advantage of buying the original pieces of her inspiration which will only grow in value over time." He moved closer to stand to Desoto, who was, yes, very well dressed, as opposed to himself looking like the thuggy companion. To Alanala, his look wasn't apologetic, but he would say, "I congratulate you on your success." But he couldn't forgive her for a few things, and he wasn't going to either. This was as nice as he was g oing to get. To the rest of them, he'd smile almost dubiously before resting his cheek against Desoto's shoulder.

Keyton given his lack of eyesight, he did not have any reaction to the pure chaos that was Mingyu's style. If one could really call it that...poor guy, he could probably use a stylist. Maybe he had one? Maybe eccentric was his thing? Power to him, not that Keyton had any clue beyond using his blood magic to sense the approach of another figure. Attention was stolen from Minj and Ujin by Ally's words, offering her another smile as she seemed flustered by Dominic's apparent hostility. He wasn't sure what that was all about, but this had better not turn into a repeat of the Easter event. The poor girl didn't deserve that after all and if Dominic disliked her that much there was nothing forcing him to stay here. Her introduction stole him from inner thoughts, shaking his head with a slight chuckle. "I'm unsure to who you speak Alanala; but I'm ah...well, practically blind. So I'll have to rely on the advice of others. Whatever piece I buy is going to be a gift, so to speak." it would furnish his house and he would appreciate it when he got his sight back! So it was a gift...to his future self...that was a thing right? Despite not being active in the conversation it wasn't difficult for his sensitive hearing to pick up on the spoken words. So...people just sort of announced that all of a sudden? Interesting, she was a unicorn...he idly wondered who else here was more than they seemed. He surely was, but he wasn't about to be like 'Hi I'm a vampire' to a bunch of relative strangers. When Dominic started rattling off prices he offered a shrug and than turned to Ally with a contemplative look. The public displays of affection and the like were entirely ignored because, well he couldn't see them. Whoops. Ujin's question sparked a raised brow. Easter? "Oh..." it was all he spoke for a moment before outright laughing. "You mean Ollie? I don't know actually...he said he would come if he could but..." he paused and than hummed. "Say, you should tell me which painting he would like." a shift of attention was given to Ming, if only because Ujin addressed him. "Your friend has any good taste in cute and colorful things?" oh...if only he knew the irony of those words.

Ujin glanced between Desoto and Alanala as if waiting for an answer on how much the pieces were starting at. It wasn't like he had a spending limit but he wasn't trying to be greedy and buy the whole collection either. But then demon was speaking up and he nodded, "That's fair." Incredibly fair and there was a huge chance that Uji was going to overpay for whatever piece he chose regardless; investing in the arts and all that. He quietly steered his overly colorful - and fashionably challenged to everyone but Uji- friend over to the refreshments table to keep him out of trouble. Keyton was given a few glances, mostly because he'd said he didn't see well and Uji had to take care of his new.. owner? Felt weird. Was weird. He really should just tell that he was that rab-- now he had the opportunity when he heard it announced that Alanala was a unicorn. "I was that one rabbit.. on Easter. That was kidnapped?" He flushed a dark red as he spoke in low voice, it was still embarassing. Ujin blinked and then pushed past his embarassment. "I can help you pick something out, I'd love to!" And then he was leading Key off to look at one of the pieces that'd caught his eye earlier.

Alanala stared at Desoto for a long... Long time as he outright just said that out loud. And he had been telling her not to go around telling people that?! Shaking her head gently as she would look to Keyton who explained he was blind. "Oh! I'm sorry to hear that happened... Erm... I do hope you can find something nice here to give as a gift..." Smiling gently to him as she would turn to the refreshment table to get herself a glass of wine. Looking around at everyone she would look to Ujin as he mentioned the Easter event, a confused look given... She didn't recall him attending either of the events, and her heart gave a stab of pain, remembering what had happened on the corresponding day, with the easter rabbit. Shaking her head gently she would soon address Keyton. "If I recall, you work for the hospital? I was wondering if perhaps I could make, and donate a few paintings to the pediatric ward? I'm sure the children would appreciate them?" A kind smile given. "Something fantasy." Like a more stereotypical dragon fighting a knight, or a unicorn and maiden... A lot of the paintings were mainly unicorns, there were a few with other fantasy creatures in them. Desoto would likely even spy himself in one of them, fighting with a unicorn. As Dominic spoke on how the paintings could be priced, she listened, very intrigued by what he was saying, that would make sense... A simple nod of her head given, considerably. "Thank you." She remarked softly to him. "How is Ollie by the way? I haven't seen him since the Easter event." At least, she couldn't recall seeing him any recently. "Have you seen the weather report for next week as well? Supposed to rain quite a lot... I'm slightly worried."

Desoto stared at Dom for a bit, as if not really sure of what he saw. He knew the guy drew, on occasion, but... without a word, Des adjusted his cuffs and made sure his collar wasn't riding up and his shoelaces... he wasn't wearing shoelaces... distractions, by the gods he NEEDED distractions! "What?" Ally's look, again, got a big fat confused from Desoto. He hadn't said it loud enough for anyone other than Dom and herself to hear, and he was all but certain that Dom knew what she was. Altogether, this was too much thinking for someone who'd just gotten a almighty firestick shoved up his ass. A chair would be GREAT, right now, but instead Des would move away from the door --pausing long enough to gently rub the back of Dom's neck-- and begin actually perusing the artifacts of material imagination. Desoto all but leaped into the air when he spotted the recreation of, quite possibly. His worst memory to date since coming to CC. "Oh god damn..." Muttered, approaching the piece like he was about to strangle it. It was beautifully illustrated, but NOOO! VIETNAM FLASHBACKS! ".... oh god damn it all." Dom had said two hundred, correct? More? Before or after she got famous-- frazzled, Des almost flung his wallet from where it rested in his breast pocket, he was reaching for it so fast. Problem was, Alanala was already busy tending to other people. Time to hyperventilate like the nervous wreck he is.

Keyton had already sort of pieced together that Ujin was the rabbit from that event but it was nice to hear he had guessed correctly. "Ollie's 'son' ... or something." he still didn't understand that phrase, it was some hip meme thing right? He was so behind the times, probably due to the fact he was a thousand or so year old vampire. "He'll be happy to know you are an entire man instead." he snorted in humour, shaking head before Ally caught attention once more. Waving off the apologies to his current lack of sight he offered a shrug. "S'nothing...I have adapted." and more importantly, would get rid of the curse soon. Hopefully. Mention of the hospital and more importantly the Pediatrics department had him smiling. Why hadn't he thought of that? Oh right, because he usually stuck around the ER. "You can donate whatever you wish, I am sure the children would be excited. I'd prefer to pay for them; but if you insist on donating..." he trailed off with a shrug. Much like Ujin he had no spending limit and could buy out this whole gallery if he wanted. He wouldn't though, you know, because greed was an awful vice. "Ollie is doing well; he's been stuck studying recently. All holed up with coffee and books." the man almost rolled his eyes, but stopped short and instead offered a smile. "I'll tell him you asked after him, maybe it would get him out and about." humour was in his tone once again before he felt Ujin leading him off to go 'look' at paintings. "About the weather...be careful. As a native I can say it can get very dangerous." this was spoken to everyone who could hear him, Desoto and Dominic included. The rain could cause a lot of potential issues, flooding included and he was hoping nobody got caught unaware! Afterwards he would leave to go peruse the paintings with Ujin, hoping the man would describe the paintings or something. Maybe just say 'This one!' and Keyton would foolishly accept the rabbits word because he seemed like a good guy. Desoto's apparent freak out was heard, but the words didn't mean much without the actions behind them that he couldn't see. Oh well, time to focus on paintings and hope Uji gave him solid advice.

Brontes nodded to Alanala as she thanked him. Ujin and Keyton were still regarded with some bit of distance before he exhaled heavily and moved away from current situation. Desoto at his side he noted the image and then glanced over to Desoto who was starting to freak out. Dominic on the other hand was very calm. He glanced over to the colorful one and then the blind one, and then the girl who tried to kiss his man. A soft frown before he looked back to Desoto, reached over and pinched his bum. That's right, a little pinch to the derriere. "Deep breaths, it's all good. No one knows." He said only for Desoto to hear him or if someone came in really, really close beside them. "You seriously want that picture.. of all the pictures?"

Alanala nodded her head gently to Keyton, she would continue to make her own way around the gallery, watching everyones reactions to the art... Desoto's reaction to the painting of their fight caught her attention. "...I painted that after it happened..." She would tell him softly, brows furrowing together. "I think some mistake it as a fight between good and evil, it's really no more than a little spat between friends." A shrug was given before the curator caught her attention, telling her that the final piece of her art had been put up, behind a curtained off area. "Oh, if I may have your attention for a moment please? There is another piece that is in the back that I have erm... Been working on for some time before this, please enter through the curtain so I may present it." It was not meant to be seen front and center for... Many reasons, which they would find out why if they entered the room, Ally of course leading the way to stand beside the large self portrait of herself... The large, nude, self portrait, front and center, curved horn, trailing a long white transparent veil behind her, with a unicorn laying right behind her, it was in a very renaissance style. Her face was a bit beet red, the real Ally... Her cup shaking slightly nervously. Seems she had really wanted to do something that was a bit outside her ordinary style of landscapes. So.. Go big or go home right?

Ujin should be a little concerned about the nervous breakdown happening over there, he even stood on his toes to see if he could get a better look. Supposed it was a personal thing and stuck his nose right back. At least long enough to tell Keyton about every single painting they passed. Not just the bare minimum either, it seemed he was really giving it a lot of detail. He finally pointed at once (he can't see buddy) and nodded his head, "I like this one for Ollie. It's kinda shy like him. But.. it's got some kind of character too. And plus the unicorn is pretty. You can see it clearly and Ollie's kinda pretty right?" It wasn't a real question, you better think his dad is pretty, Keyton. Blind or not. Attention being called had him perking up and he led his not-dad to the new painting.. describing this one to him too. Again. In detail. Too much detail. At least he was quiet about it.

Desoto. This was likely to go down in history as the day Desoto leaped out of a window without first letting his wings come free. Screw being a bird, just call him CHRIS REDFIELD from now on! While struggling to breathe, Des had the pleasure of getting pinched on the one place he might have never expected a knife to land. The. One. Place. So why did he squawk-squeal as if he'd just been shanked?? Clasping his mouth to muffle his reaction, he turned to look at Dom like, 'NO BITCH IT AIN'T!' but he had a point. The only ones who knew were the three of them and, for Ally's part. Desoto looked like he might be sick, rather than reassured, by her explanation. Friends having a spat? A spat?? He'd almost killed her! Holding onto both their counsel like lifelines, Desoto tried to mitigate his panic and instead calmly reach for the bills. When Ally moved, he followed along, trying to get her attention without drawing any(more) attention onto himself. She was making a speech, why was she making a speech? That's when the wallet fell from his hand, left to land with a mild *thump* as he, without realizing it, backed up slowly. At least he wasn't hyperventilating anymore? He'd stopped breathing entirely.

Brontes snorted out a laugh at Desoto's reaction. Okay, okay that wasn't what you were supposed to do when your love was in shock, but come on it was funny. He covered his mouth and then looked back to Alanala who was making her rounds, her rounds right to them. What did roasted Unicorn taste like?, he wondered. With a soft sigh he would follow them both towards the newest addition to the gallery. He would move out o f the way for Ujin and Keyton as they came in, apologizing even if he happened to be in the way when he noticed the thump on the floor. Seeing a naked person wasn't really high on his can't believe it list anymore. He reached down to grab Desoto's wallet and pulled out $200 before walking right up to Alanala, tempted to shove it in her mouth, but instead. "We're taking the painting thanks." He muttered to her as politely as he could before walking back to Desoto to thump his wallet against his chest. "Close your fucking mouth," he rumbled and grabbed his jacket rougly enough to spin him around as he walked back towards the one painting that had Desoto reeling before the nude one came out. The things rolling in his head, he would not say as he knew it was just venom, reasonable or unreasonable, it needed to remain locked away. He let go of Deso's jacket.

Keyton focused on Uji's descriptions; nodding along until they reached one that caused more than a brief description. "Ollie is...very pretty." he affirmed, running a hand briefly through his hair and being thankful that as a vampire, it was very difficult for him to actually blush. "If you say this is a good one, than I'll take your word." he reached into his pocket and revealed a number of bills; something close to a thousand. Who even walks around with that much in there back pocket?! Apparently he did. "Thank you, for the help. Since we seem to bump into each other...I'm Keyton. For future reference." he wasn't going to prod for a name, but he hoped it would be given. A name would be nice to give to Ollie when he presented the painting after all! As Ally caught everyone's attention he would hpefully snag her quickly and hand over the money, relying on Uji's assist to point out which painting he was hoping to purchase. With that he'd let his seeing-eye-rabbit (man?) lead him behind the curtain and...oh. Oh! ... Well that was interesting. "You are very brave to do something like this Alanala." even though he couldn't see, Uji's description had been quiet uh...thorough. Good job on not even faultering for a moment on that! It was probably a good thing he was blind, not because he couldn't handle a naked painting, but because Desoto's constant state of panic would probably cause questions. Questions he didn't look like he wanted to answer and so the vampire remaining in blissful ignorance and therefore without curiosity was probably for the best. The passing of money and confirmation that some painting was being bought was noted though, attention remaining on Ally for a moment. "You seem to be doing well." a pause before regard was given to Ujin. "Did you find anything? I feel a bit bad for monopolizing your time." he almost...almost suggested Uji buy the nude painting...but they weren't on that level yet. Maybe if they kept bumping into eachother at random though.

Alanala's brows furrowed gently as she saw Desoto's reaction... She felt terrible, absolutely terrible for letting him see that, specially as Dominic came storming over and shoving the money into her hand. "Of... Of course, just make sure to pick it up later..." Gazing after Desoto and Dominic as they left to the other painting she would soon be addressed by Keyton and Ujin, smiling... Weakly to them both. Seems Keyton had found himself a painting he had liked. "Of course, that'll um... Be two hundred dollars." Had she really just made two(three?) sales in one day? She was a bit surprised personally... She hadn't expected her art to be sold at all. As Keyton called her brave she blushed heavily, shaking her head. "...I feel stupid, but... I needed to step outside of my comfort place for a long time, thank you though." She would gaze back over in the direction Desoto and Dominic had gone before leaving that back room, and moved to the refreshment table. More wine...

Desoto. Seeing a friend naked was like stepping in on your grandparents mid-snog, and now Desoto could say he'd been privy to both experiences. Now, why would seeing Alanala naked in a painting be more mortifying than actually seeing her nude in a forest? You could argue there wasn't really... a difference to be had. He was just as uncomfortable about it now as he had been then, except he was already in a tizzy to begin with. "Wh--?" Dom to the rescue? Des allowed himself to be dragged a ways before he was practically leaping on the man, trying to bite the ever-loving shit out of his ear. Had he lost it? Debatable, but in all actuality. This was completely normal. For him. "..... And don't think I won't." Whut? Apparently the ear-bite, if successful, had only been --partially-- a cover up for something else. Wallet latched and put away, Des would either spend the next few minutes fending off a reaction --possibly none at all-- or eyeing the battle painting as if he'd like to send it into another dimension. (f)

Brontes "Humph!" He was jumped on, only now he could actually carry Desoto as opposed to when they first met. At least Desoto wasn't punching the stuffings out of him this time, no he was just biting the shit out of him. He reached back to pinch his ass again, because, lets be frank, he really didn't want to hurt Desoto. "Stop, that hurts." He huffed and hooked his hands under Desoto's thighs and brought his knees around his waist before he could speak to the curator and tell them that he would pick it up after it had been properly wrapped and booked, tomorrow. Desoto might have thought he was getting down, but nope, Dominic was going to carry him. He seemed like he needed a load off anyways. "Chinese?" He would pause as he saw Ally standing by the refreshments table and then would let Desoto say his good-byes before he would bolt out the door - this weather after all!

Keyton offered a reassuring smile to Ally as she spoke of being stupid instead of brave. "You aren't stupid; I won't be blind forever, I'll come back and appreciate it properly next time." he figured since everyone was just speaking of the supernatural he had no worries admitting that much. His blindness was the effect of a magical curse and once the dumb dog and cat get back with the book that will cure it, he would have his sight back. "When is your Gallery over? I can come collect the painting after." and as for the money? She may have asked for $200 but he had given her the full thousand. He had plenty of money after all, it wasn't like he was hurting for it and she could probably use the pick me up. About this time his phone would start vibrating in his pocket, the man reaching back to it and hitting the answer button, muscle memoried really before bringing it to ear. A brief conversation happened, frown appearing on features before he hung up and pocketed the phone. "I'm afraid I have to be going, apparently Ollie isn't feeling well. I should bring him some medicine and the like." and with a quick apologetic bow he'd disappear out the door and into the streets.

Alanala gazed over to Desoto and Dominic as they made their exit, looking to Keyton as he handed over the money. "Oh-- No, wait you've..." Unable to tell him that he had given her too much as he asked when he could come get it, she felt her face burning. "Um... You can come get it tomorrow." Nodding her head simply she would stare down at the wad of cash in her hand. Her heart was hammering in her chest. As Keyton left she nodded her head after him. "Goodnight, hope he feels better soon..." With everyone leaving, Ally would leave soon after as well, of course taking home a bottle of wine with her. She'd need it.
