Though the supernaturals of Basin City seemingly have one common enemy, it is no secret that they also have conflict amongst their own numbers. Because of this friction, the once unified city was broken into five different districts. Much like how Little Italy or China Town can be found in NYC, Basin City has developed its own concentrations of different species. Details and descriptions are listed below. However, should you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to the founders of the dream.
Safe Haven Market
Downtown At the epicenter of Basin City sits the last remaining peaceful district. The reason for this can be found in the very beginnings of the city itself. This lively downtown is popular among all species. The ancient magick that guards this area, prevents any supernatural conflicts and thus make it the first choice for housing among humans. Witches are also prominent here due to the district's history. Many witches from around the world take a pilgrimage to the University. There, on the quad, sits The Four Corners, a jagged, monolithic structure which is said to have been formed during The Collision. All government buildings such as BCPD, CSSO, SGC, and Town Hall can be found here as well.
Iris Park
Northside Walking into Basin City's northernmost district, the clamor of the city seems to hush just slightly, replaced with the quiet bustle of the city's Garden District. This area is so named after the park in which can be found in the heart of it all. The garden of Iris Park has been regarded as one of the most beautiful in California. The entrance is flanked by a breathtaking marble arch that reads "In quo arcus, Salutis" (Through this arch, Salvation). In the surrounding neighborhood, one can find the Basin City Hospital as well as Northside Church. The occupants of this district come from heavenly origins and aim to keep their side of BC as pristine as the streets they walk on.
PLEASE NOTE: No player nor staff member will play God or Jesus Christ.
Briar Ridge
Eastside Under the shadow of the nearby Briar Ridge, the sun rarely touches the streets of this district. Which is why beings of Vampiric descent have claimed this as home. The unique position of the mountain shields this area from the rising sun, only allowing sunlight for two hours at mid day. Those who are not vampiric and have a penchant for adrenaline, use this brief time to venture into this part of the city. Beware: From Noon to 2 pm, the surrounding buildings see an influx of vampires. Best stick to the streets and away from shadows if you feel like taking a stroll. A small clinic of Basin City Hospital can be found here as well. Commonly known as Clinic V ( read as the numeral 5), it is a clean, safe blood bank for new fledglings who are not used to the unusual blood cravings and have yet to master hunting.
Dark Bay
Southside Below the smog and smoke of the surrounding industrial plants, lies the city's most hated faction of all. Dark Bay has a reputation for being the least accepting of visitors. Many crimes go unreported, police presence is next to non-existent. Should you possess Demonic blood and are lucky enough to walk among it's residents, you would find darkened streets lined with trash, graffiti, and plenty of bad choices to make. Shady dealings are a common occurrence at The Docks as well as the Beach. However, if greed is truly your sin, Fourth Circle Casino is where you can satisfy all your gambling needs. On hot, sticky weekend nights, this district teems with citizens who want to get lost in the wicked and forget about the rigors of life. And they all go to one place - Obscure. It is a name that has been around for a long time in the city and it’s prestige is matched perfectly only by who owns it. However, should one choose to indulge in any of this district’s many nightlife spots, they should exercise caution. For it is very easy to slip into the dark and never emerge.
PLEASE NOTE: No player nor staff member will play Satan.
Crescent Highway
Westside The district on the westernmost outskirts of the city could very well be it’s own town. The only road connecting it to the greater city area is Crescent Highway. The great redwoods of Silverside Forest offer a seemingly peaceful backdrop. However, driving into this part of the city, one can get the sense of being on the wrong side of the tracks. The rough and gritty come here to grab a pint at the Last Stop Biker Bar and place bets on the weekly fights that happen in the makeshift ring in the basement. Despite it’s rough edges, Crescent Highway is home to the city’s best tattoo parlors. Because of it’s close proximity to the forest and it’s far distance from Briar Ridge, this district is widely known as werewolf territory.
