Aegle/Celatain
Shifting her pitch black eyes only slightly, she can hear the sounds of footsteps in tandum. But not all together. As though some had moved off from the main group. Her first thought, well s*** darlin. Lets get this party going. With a quick grin crossing her face she turns away from Extros and moves back behind the cover that she had been behind to begin with. Once she does, she hears his words across the scrapyard and frowns a bit. Shrugging her shoulders, she shifts her body, and pulls her rifle from her back.
Kneeling down, she makes quick work of changing out the barrel from the auto to a sniper. Slamming the short style clip into place, she takes a deep breath and hopes to god Extro's doesn't take this as a sign she is attacking him. Hearing the blasting noises, she keeps her head lowered, not willing to take the chance that it might be flash bombs, and losing her night sight. Again she can hear the others moving around, and simply muted them out. Most of them had paid her no mind, and so she intended to stay out of their line of fire. Just in case, of course.
A soft snicker came from her as she heard Extro's, and knowing her kind, knowing that the start of the hunger she felt began with his first kills. Bracing her elbows onto a small junk pile in front of her, she looked through the scope attached to the barrel. Well, well, come and play with us little ones. Been sometime since I have had any challenge, she thought. Rising from her place, hoping to who ever might be listening that those d**n turrets didn’t shoot her, she began to move from her place closer to where the mutants entered.
Without being shot, she kept moving. Staying behind cover and moving further away from the others. Not having been around another Karn during battle, but knowing how her hunger was, she felt it best to keep more distance between her and Extros as the battle began. Two mutants leaped out in front of her, and she cussed slightly as she had missed them entirely. One short sword went sweeping past her face as she leaned backwards an inch, missing the blade aimed for her face. With a swift round house kick, she knocked the one back and hissed slightly as the shots fired from the other seared through her coat. "Son of a bitch.. I really liked that coat to." Taking more fire on her torso and arms, she stepped toward the offending critter and casually backhanded it with her free hand.
Shifting the rifle back onto her back, she leans down and pulls her eight inch boot knife out, and spinning she runs the blade into the neck of the mutant she had kicked when it tried to sneak up behind her. Hearing it gurgle for breath she grins as the blood poured from its mouth. Turning back, the blood lust clear on her face now, the mutant in front of her tried to turn and run. Stepping forward quickly she kicked out low, aiming for its knees. Breaking the knee cap, she snags its shoulder before it can fall forward and yanks it backwards. Stepping onto its arms, she pushes her feet down, almost purring as she hears the bones break. Leaning down the yowls of the small critter meaningless to her as she quickly drives her knife into its ear, and twisting it. Watching as the light faded from its eyes, before she pulled her short sword free. Some close combat seems in order, she thinks as she moves away from the two lifeless bodies left behind as her jaws tingled some from the hunger slowly growing in her.
