What: Taneest Sorwyn is bringing some party to the Tether! She has arranged a ball in the theme of Mardi Gras, a celebration hailing from France and making its way to the Shores of the Tether. Its a time to let loose and party and to facilitate that, ALL Attendees will be required to wear a mask. While such a thing may not hide everyone's identity, its the spirit of the gesture that counts right?
Additionally, upon arrival each attendee will be given a beaded necklace of green and purple. These aren't ordinary necklaces though, oh no! Taneest Sorwyn ensured that, despite her own personal reservations against magic, that these would be enchanted so as to enhance the party!
OOC: If you so choose, you can roll a 1d10 upon receipt of a necklace to determine what effect your character will have for the evening!
1 - Whispering Breeze: A gentle wind surrounds the character, allowing them to hear distant conversations whispered on the breeze, regardless of language barriers.
2 - Luminescent Aura: An aura of soft, multicolored light envelops the character, providing illumination in darkness and causing any written text they touch to glow softly.
3 - Tangle of Vines: When the character touches the ground, small vines sprout around their feet. These fade quickly but could prove interesting for anyone on the dance floor!
4 - Veil of Mists: A thin veil of mist can be summoned around the character, granting them a mysterious and ethereal appearance
5 - Petal Path: A trail of flower petals appears in the character's wake, providing a fragrant path that soothes and calms those who follow.
6 - Glowing Footprints: The character leaves a trail of glowing footprints that fade after a few minutes.
7 - Illusory Pet: A small, harmless illusion of a pet follows the character around, providing companionship.
8 - Flickering Flames: The character can summon small, harmless flames that flicker and dance in their palms, providing light
9 - Luminescent Hair: The character's hair glows softly in the dark, illuminating their surroundings.
10 - Petal Dance: A swirl of flower petals follows the character, creating a beautiful and calming visual effect.
When: Thursday, March 13, 6 PM FST (4 PM PST, 5 PM MST, 6 PM CST/FST, 7 PM EST)
Where: *ballroom or `join Sorwyn and/or Kodin!
Who: Any patron of the Tether and any slave, so long as they are on their best behavior and have the permission of their Owner if they are not owned by the Tether. Those who provide service during the ball will be rewarded by the Taneest with a hot meal and a drink, or a like reward for those owned to be provided per the restrictions and guidance of their owner.
Menu: The Tether Menu will be available as well as specialized drinks created just for this event!
Verdant Lady - A mix of chartreuse, mint and gin
Apple and Pear Sangria - Green apples and pears comprise the fruit portion of this sweet sangria, with white grape juice thrown in for good measure.
Limencello Cocktail - A refreshing and sour combination of lemon with limencello liqour and sparkling wine
Blueberry Purple Rain Martini - It is the perfect fusion of blueberry vodka, Blue Curacao, and fruit juices with a floating of blueberries
