OOC Rules
- We're all here to have a good time. Don't be a jerk. If I feel like you're being a jerk, I'll send you a message warning you about the behavior, explaining why I think it's unacceptable, and ask you to stop. If you don't, you'll need to go.
- It is possible to be a big enough jerk to just get dropped without a warning. Just don't try to disrespect your fellow players and that shouldn't be a problem.
- Roleplaying is a social activity. It's possible what you're looking for in a game isn't what the group is working toward. Styles clash. If those clashes become untenable, you'll need to go.
- I'm happy to work with players for mutual entertainment. Work with me in kind. If something about your character is dominating play or interfering with other people's fun, we may need to discuss changes. That's not a punishment, it's a refinement. I'm not going to punish anyone, beyond removing them from the group if they're a bad fit.
- We're using 5E D&D. I'm oddly okay with homebrew material and rules tweaks to give a specific feel for a game or character. I do need to review and approve any homebrew/3rd party material, so if you've some groovy class from the GM's Guild you've always wanted to try, I'm willing to review it for possible inclusion. I won't accept just anything, but I try to be open minded. There will be a separate page for House Rules, which players should review.

Character Creation Rules
We'll be using the 5E D&D ruleset.
I'm open to reviewing all Wizards Content, including Unearthed Arcana, and even 3rd party or homebrew content. I can't promise I'll approve everything, but I'm pretty easygoing.
Characters will begin at Level 3.
While you will be choosing a published race and using the mechanics from it, you can 'reskin' that race to represent something else if you choose. A Half Orc could be a ferocious anthro wolf, or a Dwarf could be a Yuan-Ti. We can even tweak racial abilitiess to make thinks a better fit to represent the character you want to play.
For Attributes, we'll be using a Weal and Woe Standard Array. 18, 15, 14, 12, 10, 7 assigned as you see fit. If you don't want to start with a 7, you may use the Standard Array or Standard Point Buy, but that will result in a less powerful character.
Hit Points: Max at Level 1, then 1/2 die rounded up each level thereafter. D6 = 4, D8 = 5, D10 = 6, D12 = 7. Constitution applies normally.
All characters get a free feat at level 1.
Equipment and Gold as standard for a 1st level character. During the approval process, I may toss some more things your way. Also, in play, I don't sweat mundane equipment too much. Want a dagger and didn't write one on your sheet? Odds are, you can be carrying a dagger. People use them to eat, for goodness sakes.
Oh, and while I forgot to say it before, while the setting might feel conducive to being a Chaotic Evil murderhobo, don't. I'm not saying your character needs to be a Hero, but I'm not terribly interesting in running for outright villains.
