Just to be clear, I think I have a pretty clear idea of what the PCs are going for, but the NPCs just react to what they hear.

Earlier when Aekra asked for Miriam, the guards were legitimately perplexed, because they don't know any Miriam. Miriam was the Halfling mom. You folks are looking for Miley, the runaway daughter.

I'm pretty sure Venla is fishing for Lantham and the Liberators, but they aren't customers, they own the place, so the madame isn't putting that together.

Just want you to know I'm not being deliberately obtuse.
Aekra's forgetful, a bit naive, and overall somewhat dopey. I don't know how she became party face.
Heh. I suspected it could have been a deliberate choice.
It wasn't, but I'm rolling with it. OOC mistakes get translated into IC mistakes.
So, on retrying failed checks. Some things, like kicking in a door or picking a lock, you can keep trying until you establish it isn't going to work, or you do it. No worries.

Social situations are trickier. Typically, if you fail a social check against someone, that tactic isn't going to work if you try the same thing again. Aekra's done a pretty decent job of changing things up just enough to justify a new test, but keep in mind, if you fail to Bluff, Intimidate, or Persuade, someone, that failed check persists unless you change the situation.
Aekra's incredibly naive. I feel like establishing that IC as much as I can.
I believe it is just fine. The bakers didn't know that the gang operates the joint, so naturally, Venla also wouldn't know this information. I will only write from my character's perspective and knowledge, so even if I were to know, I would not write that knowledge into play.

Though I will certainly have to go over what has happened since I left for school. This scene is becoming more and more interesting.
I think you're both doing great. I just like to keep OOC lines of communication open so we all know what's in each other's heads.

When I run face to face, I've very conversational GMing style.
Oh, not to rush you, Venla, but can you post soon? Aekra did ask you a question.
Venla is a little preoccupied by all this blatant, brute-force-method conduct. She will have to answer Aekra's question when she has free time. It is now, or never!

Also, she is collecting evidence to be used later when she is questioned by the other knights in the next meeting. She needs the strongest case for her conduct and actions for her order.
What about Kiazara's intimidation attempt? You kind of ignored that.
Dang it. I missed that post. I’ll address it
There was that, yes.
I'm going to bed soon. I won't respond until around 6 AM EST.
No problem. Good night!
I’m pretty sure I was typing a reply to Aekra at the same time Kiazara’s post came through. I’m very sorry. I’ll be more mindful of that moving forward.

I edited the madame’s response to address the intimidation and will make sure it’s reflected in any following posts.
I edited Venla's last post to reflect a counter offer for the dwarven lady.
Don't worry about overlooking my post. I was on my lunch break at work and I think it was posted right after Aekra's within a few minutes. I find myself either going over the entire page of replies or going from my last post to make sure that I have all the information needed to form my post.
I am taking the rolls for the enemy combatants as the come in the order of the post. I hope that is how you set it up since it is not really clear which halfling is which one. As a random side note Kiazara is a Drow not a Teifling. Although, she almost was a Tiefling when I was character creating.
I’ll edit. I knew that and got wired crossed with another character. And you have it right. The order they post is the rolling order.
