Dark Grimoire is a classic MUD style game that is based in a fantasy world mostly on the continent of Valorn. With multiple cities, towns, and area's to explore and fight monsters, pirates, bandits, and other creatures you will spend your time exploring and doing a few quests along the way. You start out as an Initiate specializing in no paticular role. At level 15 you can decide to pick your profession (Warrior, Cleric, Enchanter, or Rogue) each with its own pros and cons.
It is a very friendly and open game with some rules and regulations that are enforced by the Gods (Admins). They usually are not very heavy handed unless you push them. The Gods set up events through the Forums and there are occasional player based events.
There are also Guilds that are created and maintained by the players and guilds are not cheap to start and require three people to create but offers some added fun.
