"You little...Get-"
SNAP!!
"Drat!" He jumped back as the stick he had been using to hold up a piece of his tent, snapped in his face.
Alois rubbed his face, making sure it didn't cut him and then glared at the broken pieces of the stick. He grabbed what he could and threw it hardly against the building wall, then kicked the rest he didn't pick up, shouting profanity left and right, even some that weren't common nowadays. Alois, out-of-breath, turned to his tent, which was now half messed up and then sat down to stare at it.
He had been working on it for a while, but this wasn't progress, this was in-fact making it look worse.
Looked like it would rain soon too, Alois couldn't let himself catch a cold because his damn tent decided it was going to break.

The snapping of a twig would’ve alerted Alois to something moving nearby, and the following coughing fit would’ve confirmed the suspicions.
“Heyyy,” a gravelly voice cracked. A young man had appeared from the surrounding bushes. He looked no older than 18 at the most, but at the same time, ravaged beyond his years. His shaggy hair was a greasy mess under his beanie and the ragged tatters of clothing he wore was obviously dirtied with grime and sweat. He was bruised and pale, but his face held hollowed remnants of what used to be kindness.
“You got any room’n there?” He asked, like it almost hurts to speak. He gestured at Alois’s set up with fingers that were blacked and a palm wrapped in gauze. “I g-got sum’a’t’new stuff, I’ll share with’ya if ya can make room f’me,” the boy offered and rolled bloodshot, drooping eyes todays the grey sky. “Looks like rain…” he mumbled softly.

Alois nearly jumped out his skin. Why did people keep startling him like that around here? Sheesh!
He turned around and noticed the young man, he..looked very worn out. "Uh, yeah hi." Alois waved and then proceeded to continue working on it. "I don't think I've got any room." He muttered, focusing on his work. Great, he'd have a hard time getting rid of this guy. "In-fact, I don't even think I have room for me." He glared as the cloth flopped onto the ground once more, even after Alois tried to get it to stay up.
He then added, "Definitely looks like rain, so I've gotta get to work. So, uh... yeah, go find an alleyway to pass out in or somethin'" Alois then hoisted up the cloth once more, attempting to pin it underneath one of the dumpster lids, only for it to slip right out. Alois had to resist shouting at it in anger.

The boy sniffled wetly, then wiped his rubbed raw nose with the back of a ratty sleeve. He didn’t seem disturbed or disheartened, he seemed dulled. Like a sedated person, just one flat line of ‘meh’ with no spikes of emotional highs or lows.
“Ah, c’mon,” he croaked. He smelled like sour milk and faintly of urine.
“We could fit,” the scrappy juvenile insisted weakly. “I told ya, I’d trade.”
He stumbled unevenly, like he couldn’t feel his feet beneath him. “C’mon, I don’t wanna get wet,” he pleaded pathetically. His lightless green eyes were misty, one seemed to lag behind in speed. “Look, look,” he collapsed to his knees and fumbled through his pants pocket with stiff fingers. They shook while he attempted to pull out a crumpled sandwich bag with a sparse collection of ambiguous white power in one corner.

Alois turned around again, a deadpan look on his face. Why couldn't this guy just take a hike... But then he noticed the bag. At first, he thought to himself Why would I ever need that? then he realized. He could sell that to some idiot and get money to get better clothes or stuff for his tent. That's when a devilish smirk appeared across his face.
"Oh well why didn't you say so?" He stood up, holding his hands up. He then folded them behind his back and took a few steps toward the other, looking at him. "Help up set this tent up before the rain starts and hand over the goods, and I'll let you stay. Just for tonight. Okay? We have a deal? No double-crossin'?" Alois looked straight into the boy's eyes, which were..very hard to stare into because it appeared they were staring off into space rather than at Alois.
...Sell it to someone for a dumb price, he'd be made for at least a week. He hoped. He couldn't screw this up.
"Oh yeah, and this won't be a common thing, alright? Just this once." Alois added, just to make sure he was clear. "Just. for tonight." He repeated. Then he held his hand out for the bag, resisting greedily taking it in his thin, bruised fingers.

Alois I know I'm the one playing as you, but NO- /hj
The boy's watery eyes shifted from between Alois to his heap of a shelter, then back. He was so cold, he only wanted to curl up and sleep, preferably not while getting rained on. His eyes dropped to the baggy he was holding.
“All of it…?” He asked hesitantly, looking reluctant. He felt like the promise of his next dose was all that was keeping him moving anymore. He shivered as a small droplet splattered against his sagging shoulder. A sound similar to a defeated sigh deflated the boy’s rattly chest.
Limply, he held out the bag for Alois to snag and the boy felt like he’d just traded his soul for a night’s rest.
Okay, deal,” he mumbled, his voice hoarse. “H-hurry,” as if the boy was in any position to make demands. He crawled on his knees over to the tent pile, tugging at strings and sticks to figure out what they were working with here.
“Whats your name?” He asked without looking back at Alois.

Alois gave him a serious look, "All of it." Then when the bag was handed to him, he snatched it out, devilish grin spreading across his face once again, once more. "Thaank you." Alois snickered, shoving it in his jacket pocket, before kneeling down, working on fixing the tent. As he scurried to try and fix it up, the sticks, the strings, the old coffee-bean bags, the dirty fabric from a thrown-out dog bed... He had a lot, but it was all acting stupid.
"My name's Ji-- Alois Trancy." Alois said through his teeth, pulling on one of the strings, trying to tie it around a nearby dumpster, only for it to slip out of his hands. He swore underneath his breath and yanked it up again and tried again. "And yours, strange guy?" He asked, looking at him with his blue, glassy eyes.
