gl-1470710-1732488363.pngTina had just moved into apartment #10 in the Paradise complex and saw there was some sort of party going on around the pool. She was fgeeling a bit shy, so once she got things set up in her apartment, which wasn't much, she decided to head out to get some groceries. She needed to find the nearest store. She would probably buy herself more vodka to continue to drown her sorrows of a broken heart after being deceived by Danny Wysocki.

One her way back, she saw a lit sign that said 'Shirly's Bar', so she pulled in for a drink. She had seen the place when she drove into town and planned to stop in anyway. Maybe a drink would loosen herself up and she may join the pool party when she got back.

Taking a seat on a bar stool she asks the bartender, "A Cape Codder please. It's also known as a Red Devil without the lime."

She knew she just just bought a bottle each of Vodka and cranberry juice, but being 'out' seemed to be right even though her cash Danny had given her when he kicked her out of Lamont Oaks was dwindling fast. She had isolated herself enough after that trauma, and had practically cried all the way driving from California.

No, a new life... here is where it will start... she twirled the beer ad coaster on the bar as she waited for her drink.
Jasper signed the contract with a flourish of the pen and collected the key to his new apartment. The things he did for love, he thought as he put the keys in the door and stepped in. He walked from room to room, taking in the place. He had lived in worse conditions. He made a list of things he would need to pick up from a store - the most glaring thing was furniture. But he would get to that when the mood struck him. His ship was docked in a marina not too far away and he had suitable lodgings there for the time being.

What he was in the mood for now was a bar. He had seen one on his way in and thought he would check it out. He locked up the empty apartment and sauntered his way to the local watering hole. He noticed a group of people standing by the pool looking into the water with confounded looks. The object of his affection being with the group, he chose to give her the space she might still desire. She had, almost two years ago to the date, disappeared out of his life with no word. She had recently reached out to him, inviting him back into her orbit. But he wasn't in a hurry to reveal himself to her.

Pushing open the door of the bar, he stepped in and let his strikingly blue eyes sweep the joint. It was dark inside and smelled like stale beer. He spotted the only other customer in the place and took a seat one spot down from her. Next to her would have been intrusive. More than one seat between them would have given the impression he wasn't in the mood to talk. When the bartender came over, he requested a spiced rum on the rocks.

The lass looked like she had been raked over the coals - emotionally stating. He was willing to break the silence, but he didn't wish to be insensitive to her woes. His drink was placed before him and he took it and turned to her. "Here's to better days to come."
Jasper waited an adequate amount of time for a response and didn’t receive one. He nodded his head and cocked his head to the side in a dismissive manner as he said, "Okay then.” He lifted his drink to his lips and drained in one go. He then stood from the barstool and pulled two bills from his back pocket. He placed it on the bar and acknowledged the bartender. "Thanks, mate. Have a nice night.” He then smacked the bar top and then headed for the door to leave.

Once outside he looked around, unsure of where to go. He wasn’t interested in going back to the apartment tonight, he would sleep on his boat until he bought a bed or found a way to swing a hammock. Be sighed and wandered off down the street. He came upon The Doghouse and stopped to take a look at it. He wasn’t much into strippers and once he noticed the sign for lady’s night he kept on walking….What mischief could he get into?
