The Paradigm Nexus

The Paradigm Nexus is the heart of an infinite portal web through which one may travel from one reality to another. Within the Nexus, one is as likely to meet a were-creature as a demon, or a Corellian, or a steampunk. In Breven Bog, where the Paradigm Nexus resides, a Time Lord might encounter a Gorean... or a Gorean might travel to Gallifrey. (As keeper of the Nexus, I accept no responsibility for what may transpire in other realms, once you've traveled to them, nor do I accept any responsibility for bringing you back. It is called the Paradigm Nexus for precisely that reason- it is essentially a genre food processor. This is a realm where any one from any genre may come and Rp, and the "paradigm laws" are simple enough: Your genre's rules apply, except in cases where they directly oppose another's genre rules, in which case, both rules nullify. So for example, an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object in the Nexus, would simply become mass-transparent- the one would pass harmlessly through the other. In the case where genre paradigm rules simply conflict, then they will err on the side of least harm. Thus, if Buffy the Vampire Slayer tried to stake a White Wolf vampire, there would be no POOF- big pile of dust. Rather, the vampire would drop into the torpor state which his own genre specifies as the result of a staking.

Some of the Rp realms found here will be genre-specific, such as the AD&D Rp's, others may have Nexus Mutability, and will be marked as such. All PN realms will be open to adult subject matter, and all players will be expected to be their own chaperone, using the back button as much (or as little) as they require.
