Hello, sleepy group
These forums are already full of so many useful tools from Jenn that I haven't felt the need to contribute to it in awhile, but I found something really cool recently, and I need to put it somewhere. I like to breeze through this list of Victorian Vocabulary when I'm looking for a specific word for flavoring my Victorian RPs, but it has many, many other lists like this to help expand your arsenal of terms. I've always been fascinated by the fact that different words, even if they share the same definition, carry different tones (the difference between "happy" and "joyous", or "hungry" and "ravenous"). This is a handy site for finding the phrase which carries the exact weight you're looking for. They also advertise teaching "words by systematically exposing you to a wide array of question types and activities that will help you understand all the meanings and nuances of every word you’re learning".

Delightful! Thank you. I recently found a list of Chinese terminology and idioms that I found really helpful in writing, but I don't think I've got any Victorian ones. Yay 🎉
