In the past, peace among races had existed, as creatures of folklore and fairytales had no real recognition by human populations. That is,
of course, until"The Wave" occurred; investigations on supernatural populations came to the revelation that many of the citizens that lived
within the borders of the United States were supernatural entities; beasts with extraordinary powers. The shock of this spread all over the
world, as many in high positions of power had hidden these truths from the world; now, with their existence jeopardized, it has led to nothing
but division among mankind, as well as the supernatural communities that had been hidden for millennia.
Now, Washington is in an uproar. Criminal activity, especially that of the paranormal and supernatural, has run rampant and unrestricted,
causing mass pandemonium, planting seeds of hatred and bigotry in the minds of the American population. The civilians grew increasingly
upset at the supernatural presence, leading to segregation laws, and even Supreme Court cases ruling on the humanity of those once deemed
citizens of the United States. Supernaturals began to grow bolder, walking in public areas with humans, without hiding their true abilities
or forms.

Humans, who oppose the idea of coexistence with the supernatural, deeming them as a threat, have become known as Humanists, a separationist
label for those who deem that supernaturals must be quelled, or eliminated entirely. The others have elected themselves the URSA, claiming
that all supernatural and humans should live together peacefully. Meanwhile, there is, of course, the muddle and mixed together. Public opinion
of the scandals behind the revelations of The Wave have led to violence, brutality, and scorn from both sides. Even the Mayor was assassinated
at their own speech by humanist extremists, showing just how deep the blade of hatred has cut in American urban communities. Public services,
unprepared for the backlash and major proportions of violence from both sides have been left entirely in a disarray and the public has claimed
that the Metropolitan Police Department cannot keep people safe, despite the public representative and lieutenant of the police department,
Adam Hero, suggesting otherwise.
His support was asked but not given. His only response repeatedly to reports has been. "We at the Metropolitan Police Department are on both
sides, and in this city, the fewer deaths in this war, the better and safer not only our city will be, but our country. We are working day
and night to keep everyone safe, supernatural or human. Hopefully, our congregated efforts will turn them both around to work together for
the betterment of this city through unity, strength, and diversity." A recent gathering of the Humanists had more of an explosive reaction.
The most notable incident, a massive bombing in a humanist protest killing over 80 attendees and destroying an entire neighborhood of city
blocks has been ruled as a terrorist attack, with no leads on the propagators of the incident. The incident has led to shameless public
lynchings, hate crime, and divisive rhetoric that has torn entire families and friends apart.

Things grew terrifyingly quiet. The FBI assumed direct control over the investigations of supernatural incidents entirely under the rug, with some CIA aide here and there and slowly but surely, made its presence known and its motives clear: any supernatural that has the ability to harm another, and does so,
will receive no mercy. This notion gained Metropolitan Police support, much to the dismay of many members of the public. Adam accepted
these orders handed down from the top, hoping it would bring the people and supernaturals together.
What he didn't expect was his own house to be targeted by a long forgotten and suspected deceased Jean-Baptiste Lazare. His house was the
least of his worries. The true peel revealed to Adam and only him as to why all the things had happened as it had. Forcing Adam into the
position just as Jean wanted him to be. Even if he did save three lives and a neighborhood despite in a clever getaway. Jean Lazare also
changed his documentation, and Adams position as well as rank in the Metropolitan Police Department: Captain of the police force. Adam
Jean Lazare. The paper brought up the news of his sudden promotion, as soon as they found the attacked prior Lieutenant. What the news did
not cover was the sudden fire in the woods that happened just recently.
Suddenly, the Federal Bureau Intelligence agency would establish a new department: the Supernatural Incident Mitigation Bureau and Agency, otherwise
known as SIMBA. The standing president elected Jean's son, Donald, to the mantle. SIMBA made its mark as a private military company, going so
far as to declare martial law against supernatural threats. Jean's wealth was no understatement; SIMBA, with his assistance, received a massive
amount of funding. With the re-emergence of this family, feared all throughout Europe as a notorious family of hunters who stopped at nothing
to eliminate their targets, Jean and his biological soon took on the mantle of "repairing" the damages caused by the arsonry, death of the Mayor,
sent FBI agents and private military company contractors alike into the city blocks, being common sightings practically everywhere. Chains of
unprecedented natural disasters, deaths, and other unforeseen tragedies began occurring at alarming rates. However, the government had no issue
standing up and offering reparations for these incidents, with SIMBA leading the charge of taking care of these "supernatural" incidents.
Humanists have come out to publicly support the efforts of the SIMBA and the almost surefire results in the modicum of their efficiency. Rumors
of what this new government branch have set for their goals, however, have led to whispers of what is known as Project Amon: yet, very few people
know what the project truly is, outside of its name.
Needless to say, Washington D.C. has been nothing short of a nightmare for everyone. And perhaps soon; the world.
