The reporter in a classy skirt and nice little button up t-shirt adjusts her jacket as Amelia Lukin steps out of the building.
Approaching the person who is clearly in her uniform and about to go on a Patrol with Captain Adam, stops her by asking her a question.
Reporter: "Officer Lukin. How do you feel about being police in Ward Six?"
Amelia Lukin: Feeling extremely put on the spot, the lynx stiffens her back, takes a deep breath and smiles to the reporter. "I am proud of the decision made to allow a Type 2 on the force. As a relative new comer to the district, I had no real hopes of becoming an officer and I only hope that I make the rest of my Type, as well as my Captain, proud." Amelia knew that the answer sounded very forced, and in a way it had been. She'd been rehearsing the short speech since Captain Hero told her to be ready for the wave of reporters once news broke of The Lynx in the Uniform.
Reporter: "Don't you think it'll cause more strife in the long run if you are arresting Type 1s though? Are you allowed to arrest Type 1 as a Type 2 Officer? and Officer Lukin, are you only wanting to make Type 2s proud? Or the entire precinct? "
Amelia Lukin: Amelia looked down at her feet for a moment, she'd had a feeling this question would be asked, but she didn't have an answer for that. "At the moment, Captain Hero has told me that i am to arrest anyone breaking the law. I can only conclude that is anyone from Type 1 to type 3. If someone I arrest has a problem with the fact that a Type 2 has arrested them, I will direct them to file a formal complaint." Her chest puffed out; she wasn't sure Captain Hero would appreciate that answer, but it was the only thing she could think of at the moment.
Reporter: "So you said Captain Lazares gave you explicit permission to arrest Type 1s? And you didn't answer the question, Officer Lukin. Are you wanting to make only Type 2s proud? Or the entire precinct?"
Amelia Lukin: "I want to make the entire Ward proud. Does that answer your question?" Amelis was feeling a bit miffed at this point. "And no, I said that Captain Hero gave me orders to arrest anyone that is breaking the law." Her paw flinched softly, as if going for a weapon she didn't yet carry, she was protective over certain people and Captain Hero would be one of them.
Reporter: The reporter stares at her for awhile in seemingly contemplative silence, before she shrugs and nods. Smiling right back at her, almost a strained smile as she insists on the right name for the Captain. "Alright. Well. In that case, Officer Lukin. I hope you remain safe and you clean up these streets fairly and equally. You heard it first from DC News!"
