Goooooooood Morning Washington!
Get your coffee out, set your newspaper aside! This is Miss Shakira Castellano coming at you with your update for what you need to know around the city! You know what it is! If you haven't already, flick that thumbs up and smash that follow button. You don't want to miss a minute of the ups and downs of Ward Six.
So how about Officer Lukin? Have you heard about that yet? Well if you haven't, I'm about to give you the Intel. Officer Amelia Lukin is one of the new recruits in the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia. While that might not seem like it's anything exciting; get this! She is the first Type 2 that has been signed into our PD! Is that exciting, or what?
Now I know not all of you are thrilled about this concept. There has already been a report where the beautiful woman in fur was asked a handful of short questions. If you're a Type 1? You still aren't safe from this woman's hand of the law! That's right, you heard me. Officer Lukin has been granted permissions from Captain Adam Lazares to do exactly what she was hired to do, enforce the law.
Captain Lazares has been well known to enforce equality around the city, taking no bias towards Types when it comes to those who think they can commit illegal acts. It comes to no surprise to that the Captain would expect no less from his Officers.
This, however, has already started to cause trouble. As I mentioned before, we know not everyone is happy about this! This leaves way for a lot of complications. What is Officer Lukin is put into a situation where she must arrest a Type 1? Will this ring any lawsuits about? After all, as a member of the PD, Officer Lukin is only doing her job. She said herself that she is not going to overlook anyone overstepping the law. This includes everyone from Type 1 up to Type 3!
You heard me right, Officer Lukin, a Type 2, is making breaking news! The lovely lynx is an inspiration to every non-human individual out there. Even some Type 1s that I chit chatted with in the Neutral Zone! There are both positive and negative opinions that I've heard. All in all? There are very many individuals, of all types, rooting for you Officer Lukin! We're already proud of you!
What does this mean for us? It's a big step! I, as a registered Type 3, am ecstatic about this headlining news. Let's face it. Here in the Beast Zone, there is a lot of animosity. It's almost normal to hear gun shots, squealing tired, screaming and yelling, the whole nine yards! It's crazy over here! Can you blame us?
I say us as a royal term. As my followers all know, I am a very peaceful person! So let me elaborate on this. We, as supernaturals, have always lived beside humans. There are individuals out there that could tell you life stories that you'd only be able to read in history books! You want to know about George Washington? There's someone out there that fought beside him during the Revolution, and I bet you they don't look a day over 30.
Personally? I've graduated High School seven times in my life. You heard it right, I have seven Diplomas. My GPA is at an all time high. I got my third college degree only nine years ago, just barely before the reintroduction of supernaturals into the general public. I've even attended Harvard University! My most recent college experience, I joined a Sorority dedicated to Supernaturals, which existed only to assist the human world and make it better. There are countless graduates from this Sorority which have made breaking waves in pushing the advancement of peace for our world! That's right, our world! From day one, eer since the law required it to be mandatory, I've been registered as a Type 3. You want to know why there are a lot of us out there that are angry?
Type 1s, I'm talking to you. Picture for a moment, you have lived in this country for decades. Possibly even centuries, or even helped to colonize the US! You are a law abiding citizen. Then suddenly, just because you are different, all of your rights are stripped away from you. You're taken away from friends, family, put out of a job. You're crammed into a cracker box with water that's full of bacteria, and electricity that barely works half the time. You are restricted to a specific area, you have a curfew no matter how old you are. You're disrespected, spit on, mocked, and harassed. When you do find a new job, your wages are cut more than 50%, just because you're not the same. Wouldn't you be angry, too?
Let's stop and take a moment, and forget abut what our differences are. Let's focus on what's the same. We abide by the law, and if we don't we suffer the consequences. We work to provide, not only for ourselves, but for what family we have left. We breathe the same air. We look at the same sky, admire the same sunset. We live, we laugh, we cry, and we love. We aren't perfect, either. We make mistakes, we face obstacles, and we strive to be happy. Just like everyone else.
Let's even think back to a mere 60 years ago! We, as Americans, love to reference Black Lives Matter, and they do! Every* life has value, and has purpose. When we think back to the 1960s, what do we picture? Segregation and restricted rights for people with a different skin color. 60 years later, it's still a hot key trigger. Do I see history repeating itself? Oh, yes, I do! Did we learn nothing from Dr. King? We celebrate him every year!
I know you guys heard about that Christian Pastor a couple months back? The dude went viral! He makes great points! If I could get up and give that man a hug, I would. He's human! Regardless of how we believe we all came about, the fact of the matter is we're here to stay. We've been here fr mellinia, and we wont be going anywhere any time soon.
So today, right here right now, I'm starting a campaign! Nothing flashy, very simple. What I'm going to call it is very easy to remember. You ready? Celebrate Every Life. This campaign is dedicated to equality. That's what you're about, right America?
We the people, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
People, take a look at what they're going to us.
Should we, as registered Type 3s whom willingly subject ourselves to negligence and ignorance, be forced to suffer from bigotry? Wake up, America! We're here, we've always been here. There are Type 2s and Type 3s that have served in the US Military to protect you and your families. This is how you thank them?
So from now on, I'm Celebrating! If you want to join me, reblog this video! #CelebrateEveryLife
We can make the change, but we can't do it alone. Type 1s, open your minds. If we wanted to hurt you, we would. The fact of the matter is, there are good humans and bad humans. Good supernaturals and bad supernaturals. No one is perfect! We were put here to make mistakes and to learn from them. To grow together. Once upon a time, supernaturals and furres didn't hide from the public! We lived in harmony with humans. I know, I was there. We can do it again, they've just forgotten about us! They're afraid of us because we're different, so we need to prove to them that there's no reason to fear us any more than they fear themselves.
Be a star, shine! Just be yourself! There is nothing in this world that is more beautiful than that,. No one, whether they be human or not, should ever feel like they aren't good enough by being who they are. This is your chance, our chance! So let's get out there!
History will always be doomed to repeat itself, I've seen my fair share of it. So let's be proactive. Supernaturals, let's show them we're no different than they are! Only you can lead by example, and violence will only lead to more violence. That isn't going to be how we prove anything, because the more you resist, the more they'll push. You want to see a change? It starts with you.
What was is Micheal Jackson said? "If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change."
