//////////Bramford is a city divided, conflict as much a part of its foundation as the bricks that line its streets. Whether rich or poor, powerful or oppressed, mundane or supernatural, there is dissent to be found in every building in the city, haunting its residents alongside the ghosts of Bramford's gruesome and violent past. Turmoil is not new to Bramford; threads of the current discord were spun from the moment of its inception, woven into the hostile tapestry that the city is today. It is inescapable; humans and supernaturals alike, everyone, must choose a side.
Gang activity is at an all-time high, a blood dispute raging across the bridge between the Ayin Ha'Ra and La Mano Destra, Bramford's two most influential, mundane mafias. There is infighting between the Italians: two families traditionally at war have been united by a common enemy. Between the poorer ethnic districts of East Hudson and Koreatown, two gangs are at war for their trades. Drugs, people, weapons, they want to arm and disarm in their own unique ways. Mudos Malos are much more than street dogs, protecting those in East Hudson, while Jong-i Kal traffic drugs to the elite and strong-arm their local businesses, a terror of a demonic, draconic family that's only getting louder.
The Bramford Police Department is ineffectual, corrupt and intent on maintaining the status quo so those at the top remain there. The Police Commissioner is a member of the Northern Club: Bramford's paid, members only club and ivory tower for those wealthy and elite, including celebrities, politicians, and the heads of the Fortune 500 companies that call Bramford home. With the city bought and paid for, those lower classes are left to fend for themselves as the divide between the haves and the have-nots only widens.
But the struggle of mundanes is not the pulse of Bramford's conflict and the city is full of secrets. Hidden from the public eye, the Kronos Society didn't die with its founder as it seemed to have. Within the ivy-clad walls of the Northern Club, it thrives, funded and chaired by certain elites, and unknown even to some of the club's members. Bramford's dubious history is all true: witches exist, and it's Kronos' mission to keep history from repeating itself.
For decades, Kronos was winning, successfully controlling the supernatural threat that pervaded its streets. They were the boogeyman, secretive and militant as they exacted their own brand of justice on any possessing magical abilities. They drove the witches into hiding until recently, when one brave woman called for unity and the supernatural community responded. Kronos' punishing authority ensured the rise of much of its opposition; under their new leader, these opponents have found strength in each other. Despite Kronos' best efforts, this enemy has found its footing, poised and ready to strike. A rebellion is on the rise.
