  • As a member of our community it is expected that you have read and are familiar with our rules.
  • Bramford's Rules

    Age Requirements

//////////Bramford is an adult-only community based on Furcadia and Discord. Its continuity is heavily influenced by mature themes that require discretion. Because of this, Bramford is an 18+ IC/OOC community, meaning that both you and your character must be 18 or older to join. There are no exceptions to this rule.

    Continuity

//////////Bramford is a modern, New York inspired city set in the present day. As a general rule, technology found in the city and available to your characters is reflective of technology existent in the real world. Current events can and may affect the continuity.

Our community is welcome to both humans and anthropomorphics, with a few exceptions that can be found on the character creation page; supernatural characters are encouraged to exercise restraint and attempt to keep their true nature remains hidden from the mundane world around them. Failure to do so could potentially have IC repercussions as the supernaturals of Bramford are actively hunted.

Bramford is also home to a few exclusive, original species. These are open, original species designed for play exclusively within the Bramford continuity.

For a more in-depth guide to character creation within our continuity, please visit our character creation page.

    Consent

//////////While RPing in Bramford, it is expected that you will adhere to the consent rule. Be clear about the terms of your RP before you begin and respect other players' boundaries. Do not respond to a roleplay that you are uncomfortable with. If another member violates this rule or the terms you agreed to, disengage from roleplay and message one of our managers directly.

    Abuse of Power

//////////Bramford has a zero-tolerance policy concerning abuse of power and god-moding. Your character is absolutely allowed to be powerful and strong, but please remember that there is always a balance and that even superheroes have their weaknesses. Please respect your other players.

    Public Roleplay

//////////Public, group RP is actively encouraged in Bramford, though we do have a few guidelines around what is acceptable roleplay on the main RP forums and in-client. Violence is acceptable in public RP as long as the consent rule is respected. Sexual RP is allowed on the mature forums and anywhere within the map, though please be courteous as you would in any other RP.

    Out of Character Conduct

//////////Before all else, treat everyone with kindness and respect (this includes not spamming other players). If you are unable to do so, Bramford is not the place for you. Homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism and sexism are all considered unacceptable behaviors. Trash-talking of individuals or other communities is absolutely not allowed. We have a strict no-bully policy and there are no exceptions to this rule. If you do find yourself being harassed, please block the offender and contact one of our managers directly.

That said, we are a mature, adult-oriented community and as such, mature topics may be brought up in conversation within reason. Please bear in mind that it is unacceptable to purposefully make another person uncomfortable. You may post NSFW links, but you are required to label them as such.

    Discipline

//////////Bramford has a three-strikes policy. If you do find yourself subject to disciplinary action, your first offense will be met with a verbal warning If you commit a second offense, you will receive a second warning and be placed on probation. If you receive a third and final warning while on probation, you will be permanently banned from Bramford.

Do not assume that because you are not on probation that you will not be suspended or banned. Offenses will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by our managers and we reserve the right to bypass any tier of this system if it is deemed necessary.

  • Bramford reserves the right to adjust these rules at any time. Not having read the rules does not exempt you from following them.
