Below is a collation of the official Bramford factions and their introductions. Each faction is an open faction, though if you are interested in joining it is recommended that you speak to the faction head before doing so, as some are more regulated than others. If the head happens to be an NPC character or there isn't one, please feel free to message one of our managers directly.
^ Indicates a high level of regulation within a faction and it is required that you speak to the faction head or a manager before joining. -
Human Factions
Bramford Police Department
1100 Fifth Avenue, Central Business District
Head: Interim Commissioner Alan Shore
Wealth ▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▯▯▯ - Supernatural ▮▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯
//////////Corruption pervades the Bramford Police Department, its hands tied by the wealth and support it receives from the city's elite for maintaining the socioeconomic status quo. As such, the department has no vested interest in cleaning up the city, Bramford's crime epidemic left unchecked as its existence benefits the interests of influential individuals. Over the years, BPD has been reduced to little more than a public figurehead, the department's reputation controversial at best. The real control sits quietly in the hands of the more powerful, secret society that maintains stability in throughout the city's nine districts.
La Mano Destra
Mama Antonia's Trattoria, 86 Cathedral Street, Little Italy - Fresco Laundromat, 147 Naples Avenue, Little Italy
Heads: Antonia Benedetti - Lorenzo Morello
Wealth ▮▮▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯ - Supernatural ▮▮▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯
//////////La Mano Destra is not one, but two crime families, united against a common enemy, the Ayin Ha'Ra. Once divided by a gruesome blood feud, they have come together to combat their enemy across the bridge, an enemy with deeper pockets and more resources than the two families combined. Together they run Bramford's drug and sex rackets, though the infighting between families insures an habitual inefficiency on both sides. The cause of the feud has been addressed and the two families will be united in matrimony, though a wedding is just a band-aid on a wound that really needed stitches.
Benedetti Family
//////////The Benedetti family's matriarch is Antonia Benedetti, a first-generation Italian immigrant. The family is known for both its legal business, a very successful Italian restaurant called Mama Antonia's Trattoria, and its sex trafficking. The crime family is literally comprised of Mama's family, her children and their children, though they all defer to her in the end. They are really just as any other family would be, an emphasis placed on traditional values while the dirty money lining their pockets remains more of an after thought. It's when their pockets run dry that the family becomes less harmonious; Mama's sons are shrewd and ruthless, known for being exacting when Mama doesn't get the respect that she deserves.
Morello Family
//////////The Morello crime family is younger than its counterpart, headed by a recklessly violent Lorenzo Morello who is defensive of and sensitive to his shortcomings. The family runs a laundromat as well as whatever illicit contraband they can get their hands on; Enzo is not known for turning down a job. Thus far, he has been successful, intimidating those who'd cross him with a gruesome and dramatic commitment to violence. He is single-handedly responsible for the bad blood between the two crime families as he murdered one of Mama's daughters in cold blood during his youth. To rectify his mistakes he's offered her one of his own, though the diplomatic move is only going to slow the ticking of this time bomb, not stop it.
The Ayin Ha'Ra
Wise Sons Delicatessen, 801 Fifteenth Avenue, New Judea
Head: Ira Kaufmann
Wealth ▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▯ - Supernatural ▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯
//////////The oldest and wealthiest mafia in Bramford is the Ayin Ha'Ra, a religious group that considers themselves above the typical money-making ventures for gangs and other criminal organizations. They keep their fingers out of the drug and sex trade, preferring a darker and harder-to-come-by resource: gemstones. Their public profile is relatively low as they keep their dirty dealings well hidden; they do not affiliate with Bramford's premiere jeweler, at least not officially. They own the Jewish delicatessen that the Drachmann buyers tend to frequent on their lunch hours, ushering the associates into the back for the unlisted special of the day.
The Guild
Hawk's Nest, Chelsea Wharf
Head: None
Wealth ▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯ - Supernatural ▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯
//////////Aleaderless faction dedicated to protecting humanity from the vanity and maliciousness of supernatural creatures, built on the backs of ex-military and fanatical anarchists alike. While they seem more keen to work alone, there’s a camaraderie that comes from dedicating one’s life to the same cause, which is why Hawk’s hosts such a large gathering so frequently, with so little tension. Those that wish to join the Guild simply do, and tattoo the Valknut somewhere visible on their body, so that other Guild members are able to identify one another. (credit to emily.)

Supernatural Factions
The Rebellion
Madam Parsons' Psychic Services, 1666 Oceanside Drive, Chelsea Wharf
Head: Annie Parsons
Wealth ▮▮▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯ - Supernatural ▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮
//////////Witches are as much a part of Bramford as the land the city was built upon. The Bramford Witch Hunts of the 1660's are a widely known piece of local history, the gruesome affairs of mass hysteria still haunting the city today. While historical events may have driven the witches and magic users into hiding, they are still very much existent, surviving in secret for hundreds of years until recently, when a powerful young woman was spurred to action at the death of her husband. Annie Parsons managed to draw her fellow witches out of hiding, uniting them under her own brand of justice and waging war against their oppressors. Today, the witches are one of the most powerful supernatural factions, respected and feared by those with knowledge of their world. They welcome all supernatural creatures into their ranks: those that feel injustice as acutely as they do and are driven to do something about it.
Kronos^
The Northern Club, 620-640 Eighth Avenue, New Judea
Head: Dr. Camille Singh
Wealth ▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮ - Supernatural ▮▮▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯
//////////Officially, the Kronos Society is said to have died with its founder, Captain Edward Prescott, in 1705. This is very much inaccurate. The Kronos Society was founded during the height of the Bramford Witch Hunts, its sole purpose to rid the settlement of what it believed to be their biggest threat: witches. Kronos, as it's referred to today (when it is referred to by name), is alive and well, having only been remodeled by the Captain's successor into a secretive, cult-like campaign, a model that still operates to this day. Kronos quietly maintains the stability of Bramford, both mundanely and supernaturally, its forces wealthy, influential and militant. While they have not deviated from their original doctrine of hunting witches, they have expanded upon it; they will hunt and eliminate any supernatural that they feel a threat while maintaining the city's socioeconomic status quo via numerous political connections.
Jong-i Kal
Hot'N Roll Hot Pot, 1233 Fifty-Fourth Street, Koreatown
Head: Mingyu Ch'oe
Wealth ▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▯▯ - Supernatural ▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▯
//////////What was once a street gang has grown into something hefty with the elite businesses on their side. The biggest supplier of opiates and prostitution within their East Day Spa, bathhouse brothel, they have strong connections to keep themselves funded. Their leader, Mingyu Ch’oe, is a centuries old phoenix tied to a dragon, and with that power came a disconnect from morality. You’ll find him shaking down businesses for protection money, making a violent show for tourists with the fellow yokai demons and sea monsters that fill their ranks. If someone goes missing, it might just be them to blame.
Covens and Packs within Bramford
Vampires
Head: N/A
Wealth ▮▮▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯ - Supernatural ▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮
//////////As such, there is no single, organized faction for the vampires of Bramford. While there are notable covens throughout the city, they are not explicitly unified under a single head, nor does every vampire resident belong to one. The vampires of Bramford are as diverse as their human counterparts which means they can be both allies and enemies alike, regardless of which side you're on.
Werewolves
Head: N/A
Wealth ▮▮▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯ - Supernatural ▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮
//////////Like the vampires of Bramford, the werewolf residents of the city are not unified into a single pack under a single Alpha. There are multiple throughout the nine districts and, while most wolves do belong to a pack, lone wolves are not unheard of. As with the vampires, while you may find allies within one of the city's wolf packs, you might earn enemies within another.
