Influential Humans
William Darcy Prescott III
His Worship The Mayor
1982-Present
About
//////////The Mayor of Bramford, William Darcy Prescott III is the heir apparent to the Prescott fortune. Descendants of Captain Edward Prescott himself, the founder of the defunct Kronos Society, the Prescotts are easily the most influential family in Bramford; merely having the name opens doors most people wouldn't dream of. Bill Prescott is the youngest son of Senator William Darcy Prescott II and is serving his second consecutive term as Bramford's Mayor. He is a Republican and is well-loved by the city's elite, providing incentives and benefits to corporations and the wealthy at the expense of the less fortunate. It is speculated that after his third term he will run for State senator, backed by the CEOs of the multiple Fortune 500 companies that call Bramford home to their corporate headquarters.
Antonia "Mama" Benedetti
La Mano Destra
1952-Present
About
//////////Antonia Benedetti may be lovingly referred to as 'Mama,' but it's not for her kind and nurturing nature. Shrewd, cold and cunning, Mama is the matriarch of the Benedetti family, one half of Bramford's La Mano Destra. She's a first-generation Italian immigrant and mother of eight, with a nostalgia for her homeland that she translates into cooking. Officially, she owns and operates Mama Antonia's Trattoria in Little Italy, definitively one of the best restaurants in the city. Unofficially, she can supply you with company should you find yourself wanting to dine, but in need of a date. Either way, her services are offered in-house, or take-away, but be sure to tip generously; Mama doesn't take kindly to being shortchanged.
Lorenzo "Il Macellaio" Morello
La Mano Destra
1970-Present
About
//////////Il Macellaio, translated, is 'the butcher' and Lorenzo Morello has the same amount of subtly as an overweight carver in a wife beater and an apron. Enzo is of Italian-American descent, his family now fifth or sixth generation and so far removed from the motherland that he is unable to speak the native tongue. He is sensitive about his shortcomings, however, earning himself that nickname by violently removing the tongues of those who dared to point them out. He is the second head of La Mano Destra, his business operating out of his family-owned laundromat, and what he lacks in grace and intelligence, he more than makes up for with a short temper and a dramatic flair for violence.
Ira Kaufmann
The Ayin Ha'Ra
1989-Present
About
//////////Ira Kaufmann, the head of Jewish crime family the Ayin Ha'Ra, isn't even thirty years old. His guise is not deceptively young so much as his youth is decieving. Don't make the mistake of thinking that his cheerful, friendly demeanor makes him a nice person or that because he's young he's naive. He inherited the reigns from his grandfather at eighteen and even then, he stepped into the role without faultering, a knife sliding into warm butter. Those within his inner circle will be the first to tell you that he keeps everything close to the chest, misses nothing and gives nothing away. If Ira decides you're finished, you're finished. He'll stick a blade in someone mid-conversation, but don't trick yourself into thinking it was on a whim. Ira's weighed their worth and found them wanting.

Influential Supernaturals
Annie Parsons
Owner, Madam Parsons' Psychic Services
1976-Present
About
//////////Annie Parsons is a Bramford born and bred native. Locals and visitors alike know her name; she owns and operates the only spiritual and occult shop within the city limits under a heavy political disapproval. She doesn’t shy away from the dissuading gaze of the elite, brandishing the title of Witch like a weapon toward both believer and non-believer and actively challenging the status quo. To mundanes, she is simply a woman taxing and profiting from the city's dark history, but to those who know of her true abilities, she is a powerful, influential force. She's the head of the snake that is Kronos', and therefore the city's, true enemy; she commands the supernaturally gifted armies of the rebellion vying for control of Bramford.
Dr. Camille Adra Singh, M.D. Ph.D.
Head, Kronos
1980-Present
About
//////////Dr. Camille Singh first graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Oxford University before going on to receive her M.D. Ph.D. from Harvard Medical School. She is one of the top neurosurgeons in the United States with a focus on research, which has afforded her a very prominent position on New Cambridge University's faculty at Fairheart Teaching Hospital. There has been wild speculation as to Dr. Singh's reasons for relocating to Bramford; while the university is internationally highly ranked, Dr. Singh's status as both a neurosurgeon and an educator vastly overshadows her colleagues. Rumors as to Dr. Singh's motives cite everything from money to illness as her cause for accepting the position, though there are those within the supernatural underground which would tell you spine-chilling tales of the "Doctor Frankenstein" that plucks unwitting supernatural creatures off the streets to cut them open and see what makes them tick.
Theodore Clements
Owner, Il Ragno Rosso
366-Present
About
//////////Hailing from what is now Crimea, Russia, the reclusive vampire has every right to be as such. Over a thousand years old, the speakeasy’s existence is but a blip in the midst of a very long lifetime. A soldier of the Byzantine army, he lost his life at a mere 19, the waifish man’s Roman-controlled home was no longer what he remembered by the time he managed to make it back. Spending many decades as an artist under many names, he now goes by simply "Theodore," having long since given up the name of his 4th century birth. Lineage is lost, useless to him, and those he’s turned over the years would likely not recognize the man now. He sponsors an underground lifestyle of hiding for other supernaturals, but enjoys his anonymity. Rumors circle, yes, but they never seem to land.
Mingyu Ch'oe
Head, Jong-i Kal
1883-Present
About
//////////An eccentric man separated by the moralities that tie down the average mundane, Ming is a terror to those around him and a force to be reckoned with - as long as he's not being tempered by his much more level headed husband. The Ch'oe clan an elite crime family, they tried ridding their black sheep by sacrificing him in a ritual to consume his once simply druidic powers for themselves - instead binding him to a dragon that devoured his family instead, making him reborn as the fenghuang he is now. The last of the Ch'oe's, inheriting everything, he used this to buy out the Jong-i Kal street gang and rise them to their now current glory.

Historical Figures
Margaret "Molly" Lowell
Murder Victim
1653-1661
About^
//////////In the summer of 1661, a child's body washed up on what is now Chelsea Beach, later discovered to be that of Margaret "Molly" Lowell. Molly was the daughter of the Governor General at the time, an only child as his wife had died in childbirth. She was aged just eight years. Due to her father's status, a colony-wide manhunt was issued for her murderer as her death was deemed suspicious due to the condition of her body: ligature marks were found on both wrists and ankles; she had a satanic cross carved into her back; and both of her eyes had been removed, the cavities cauterized. The nature of the injuries led authorities to believe that the murder was occult in nature and her death would serve to ignite the widespread panic that followed, plaguing the colony of Bramford for the next three decades.
Agnes Warren
Witch
1641-1662
About
//////////After Molly Lowell's death, a colony-wide manhunt was issued for the person responsible, the nature of her murder determined to be a ritual of the occult. Agnes Warren was the daughter of a notorious spinster, the identity of her father never exposed or determined even to this day. Agnes and her mother didn't live a particularly easy life and mostly kept to themselves on the outskirts of town, caring for themselves independently of society and rarely seeing fit to travel into the heart of Bramford. Their reclusive nature spurred rumors about the two women living alone in a shack in the woods, suspicion building against them even before the tragedy that befell the Lowell family. Not much effort was made to explore alternative theories about what happened to Molly and little evidence was gathered against Agnes. Despite this, Agnes was arrested, tried as a witch, and eventually sentenced to death by burning at the stake. Eight months after Agnes's death, her mother would also perish in a mysterious fire that consumed their home.
The Honorable Hamish Harding
District Court Judge
1623-1665
About
//////////The Honorable Hamish Harding had served as Judge to the Bramford District Court for 15 years before Agnes Warren was arrested for the murder of Molly Lowell. He was a beloved figure of authority and member of the community, wealthy from family money and successful in his career. Hon. Harding was the judge appointed to hear Agnes's trial. It only took a jury of Agnes's peers six weeks to condemn her to death, despite a lack of factual evidence. Witness testimony was comprised of hearsay and speculation that Hon. Harding entertained as truth. While the jury wanted to see her hanged, it was Hon. Harding that sentenced Agnes to burning at the stake and was heralded a hero by the Bramford community. He would only serve as District Court Judge for another year before suffering a stroke resulting in the loss of motor control in the right side of his body. He would spend the next three years confined to his home, succumbing to the onset of blindness and dementia before this mysterious, chronic illness proved fatal. His loss was widely felt throughout the community and to this day, his memorial statue stands at the Bramford District Courthouse.
Captain Edward Prescott
Founder, Kronos Society
1643-1705
About
//////////The Prescott family was the most noteworthy family to emigrate to Bramford upon its settlement, lower nobility earned by its patriarch for military service. They were wealthy, therefore influential in the colony; If you were a Prescott in Bramford, life was good. Captain Edward Prescott was just 18 when Molly Lowell’s body was found, a fresh-faced Sergeant in the Royal Army and following in his father’s footsteps. The Prescotts were cousins to the Lowells, Edward no stranger to Molly as he spent much of his youth around her. It was no secret that Edward held a soft spot for Molly, so it came as no surprise when he took her death with great difficulty. Edward channelled his grief into ambition, spearheading the manhunt that brought Agnes to justice. In response to the panic left in the wake of the Lowell’s tragedy, Edward founded the Kronos Society, a group of concerned citizens focused on sniffing out and smiting those who would do harm. The society would be successful in its operation, growing to be a powerful force in Bramford until it dissolved following his death in 1705.
