Things to Bear in Mind
//////////When creating a character to play in Bramford's continuity, there can be quite a few things to keep in mind. You are by no means required to participate in any of our exclusive original species or factions, but you're absolutely welcome to weave them into your stories. The main purpose of this community is to facilitate creativity through a carefully and lovingly curated world. We want you to familiarize yourselves with it and utilize it to the extent of your desires: however much or little you'd like.
In Bramford, there are quite a few choices you can make regarding your character. Will they be human or will they be supernatural? If they are supernatural, will they be an established species, a Bramford exclusive species, or were you going to dream up something new? Deciding whether or not your character has supernatural qualities also doesn't necessarily qualify or disqualify them from participating in one of Bramford's many warring factions.
Under each listed faction you will notice a couple stat bars. These indicate how wealthy a faction is, but also how welcome supernatural characters are within these circles. Most human factions are not aware of the supernatural on a general basis and any supernatural members will likely be in hiding from others, just as they are in the rest of the city. There are a few human factions, however, that acknowledge and openly welcome the existence of supernatural creatures: i.e., the Jong-i Kal.
For easy referral, I have listed the human factions in order from least supernatural to most:
The Ayin Ha'Ra
Bramford Police Department
La Mano Destra
Jong-i Kal
When it comes to the supernatural factions in Bramford, there is really only one rule: witches do not belong to Kronos. As Kronos is mainly a witch hunting society, this makes sense. Other supernaturals may belong, but understand that the hierarchy is not slanted in their favor. They are classed as second-class and third-class citizens, if they have the ability to transform into an animal, and their treatment within the faction reflects this.
I realize this is a lot to think about, so, if you find yourself with questions, please feel free to contact the head of the faction you're interested in joining and ask away! If the head happens to be an NPC character or there isn't one, please feel free to direct your questions to one of our managers.
