    ~Key Words & Places~
The terms listed below are a brief summary of each area so that the terms mentioned won't be confusing while reading up on the lore and backstory of Starlight Escape.

    • The Sphere - This is the term used to describe the giant magical bubble that surrounds the islands, keeping within it air to breathe and offering protection to all within from those that intend harm. Think of it as a magical ozone layer, a barrier that keeps all within safe from the vacuum of space.
    • Isle Serail - This is the most populated of the islands within the Sphere. It encompasses the inn Starlight Escape as well as the Caverns of the Bound tunneled within the rock of the island.
    • Starlight Escape or SE - This is the inn and tavern hosted on Isle Serail, and the dream's namesake. Most places within this themed area are in shades of blue and tend to offer romantic and magical themes for RP as well as a casual chatting area that often turns IC at the rooftop bar.
    • Caverns of the Bound or CB - This area is also on Isle Serail, but takes up the caves and tunnels within the stone of the place. This area is themed for more adult RP with BDSM/slave themes as well as drugs and violence.
    • The Arboreal Isles or Arborea or AI - This series of islands is mostly nature themed, but half of the main isle is covered in infernal taint. The area offers feral, fae, or draconic RP on one side, and darker more insidious themes on the other side.

  • Bestiary

The following are creatures that are native or unique to the various biomes within the Sphere. All of the beasts listed can be used for character creation, and this is in fact encouraged! Many even have their own custom locals for your use.

    • Centaurs - The centaurs live in the forests of Arborea, though they are rarely seen. Many prefer the solitude of the forest, foraging and on the rare occassion hunting to keep their archery skills honed. It is rare, but the centaurs occasionally send a scout to Isle Serail to sell their goods in exchange for whatever they might need that the forests cannot provide.

    • Faeries - The faeries of Arborea have long remained dormant within the hidden caves that run under the forests. With the oncoming taint of the infernal portal, the fae awoke to protect their homeland and have slowly begun to creep out of their caves to see what has happened to the lands during their slumber.
Use by saying *Fae in the dream.

    • Felines - There seem to be quite a large amount of cats on Isle Serail, many of which were rescued and brought to the Sphere by Azure herself. Many are feral, but it's not uncommon for a feline to be sentient, or even to have the power of speech.
Use by saying *Feline in the dream.

    • Felitaurs - This race is quite similar to the Centaur, though a bit more feral. Made up of feline and anthro parts, they tend to prefer the dens and are rarely seen wandering the isles for they have little need to leave the forests.

    • Hell Cats - These adorable little hellions are what happens when a feral feline becomes tainted with fel energies. Mischevious but relatively harmless, they can be seen sneaking about the Tainted Lands when not trying to cause trouble.
Use by saying *HellCat in the dream.

    • Magi Cats - Similar to the Hellcat, these little kitties are tainted by the raw magical energies of Isle Serail. Often sentient, the Magi Cat is often seen accompanying a mage as a familiar.

    • Night Mares - These creatures presumeably escaped the Abyssal realm when the Hellmouth was first opened. Now they call the shrouded lands home, mostly sticking close to the portal for presumeably nefarious reasons.
Use by saying *Nightmare in the dream.

    • Phoenix - These creatures of legend roost on Isle Serail inside a cave that seems to be eternally burning ever since a large phoenix crashed into the side of the island many years ago. Now the reclusive breed simply tries to coexist, without burning anything too terribly.
Use by saying *Phoenix in the dream.

    • Wolves - The forests of Arborea are packed with wolves. The creatures seem to gather mostly in the dens, and whether adapted or simply calling the lands home, many of the wolves are found to have feathery wings. The wolves have a pact with the Empress of the Sphere, keeping their savagery to the prey of the forests instead of random explorers.
Use by saying *Wolf or *WingWolf in the dream.

    • Wyverns - The wyverns were brought to the Sphere by Azure, who had found a clan of them that culled the non-sentient of their breed at birth. Azure made a deal, exchanging treasure for the hatchlings to raise them in another realm and, once mature, train the feral wyverns to be mounts between the floating isles of the Sphere. However it is not uncommon for two feral parents to birth a sentient wyvern, and these creatures are allowed to live within the Sphere once they reach the appropriate age.
