A grand edict had been put forth by Azure, Empress of the Sphere; posted on every caverns corner and starlit doorway as the mid-winter holidays were being prepared for:

Winter Greetings!
To all who dwell within or frequent the Sphere;
Starlight Escape, the Caverns of the Bound, and even the Arboreal Forests will all be closing their docks til the end of December.
An island getaway will be provided for the use of those who live on the mainland, and those who wish are welcomed to stay and partake in holiday celebrations!
For those who live in the Sphere, be prepared for a temporary move. Please be sure to pack for a two week vacation, preferably any warmer clothes that might be needed. All your items left within private rooms be inventoried and taken very good care of, rest assured.
