Bedur Zirkoa is a circus that originated in the Basque region of Spain. For many years it flourished, but as the health of the former Circus Master began to wane, things started to fall apart slowly.
Andrea Otxoa came to the rescue. She had experience within the circus itself and she had learned many skills over the course of her life. She was able to bring a few more years - good years - to the circus, but it slowly fell apart.
Over the last few years, the Puppet Mistress traveled alone, slowly making connections with other circuses, with people she met along the way and runaways.
Finally, she is beginning to believe that Bedur Zirkoa is going to succeed once more.
The Circus itself is intended to travel all over Europe, Asia, and Africa. The Mistress has no fears of traveling.
Any sort of act is welcome, though there are some positions that cannot be filled more than once or twice.
The time during which this is set is ambiguous but is no earlier than 1800 and no later than 1910. That means that things might get muddled up for what things are happening in the world; try not to get too bogged down with dates, places, and other specifics. If it comes up later in the group that we need a defined date, I would be happy to discuss that.
Finally, this is a supernatural setting. There is magic, demons, and other supernatural elements, but they are hidden. If you play a non-human character they will have to be carefully assessed before they will be approved. There is nothing wrong with playing furry characters, but they do not fit the setting completely. That said, we are willing to discuss different characters!
