  • A C R O B A T S ▪ Every Circus needs a troupe of acrobats of all sorts. Tight rope walkers, slack rope walkers,
trapeze artists. The list goes on and on! Generally working together, the acrobats would spend a lot of their time doing dangerous tricks that are always one slip away from death.
A N I M A L ⚔ A C TS ▪ While the circus does not currently have a large number of animal acts, they are always willing to expand. Looking to adopt from other circus' or private collectors, Andrea Otxoa has a keen interest in dangerous animals. Currenly they have a Russian bear, a handful of horses and a wolf. Handlers are needed for any additional animals that are taken on.

B A L A N C I N G ⚔ A C T S ▪ Just like there are dozens of ways an acrobat might work, there are a number of ways for balancing acts to work. These can include stilts, balancing blocks, Risley acts and more. Balancing acts, unlike acrobats, can and do work solo. C L O W N S ▪ What is a circus without clowns? Probably the biggest staple next to the big top tent, clowns are always needed in a circus! Clowns can actually serve dual purposes as animal handlers, acrobats and almost any other job in the circus as well. All you need is a little make-up to finish the look and you'll fit right in.

  • C O N T O R T I O N I S T S ▪ Incredibly flexible and able to fold themselves in seemling possible ways,
contortionists are always good entertainment for a circus. Sometimes set as a part of a freak show, Bedur Zirkoa considers these a completely seperate act.
Contortionists will always be welcome, the younger the better as joints tend to sieze up as they age.
E S C A P E ⚔ A R T I S T S ▪ Often specialized contortionists, escape artists are always good entertainment for a crowd! Always with an added element of danger, they must escape small spaces that are on fire, submerged in a barrel or water or hanging from a height that could kill them. This one job that is not for the faint of heart as you only have yourself to rely on for survival.

F I R E ⚔ E A T I N G▪ Nothing says family fun like eating (and sometimes breathing!) fire. Skilled performers who know fire at an almost intimate level, they are able to extinguish fire with their mouths. They must be quick and skilled. F R E A K ⚔ S H O W ▪ An umbrella of a multitude of "acts" that are generally simply just people born in new and strange ways. Bedur Zirkoa does not distinguish between human acts and other acts. Deformed pig fetus', cyclops kittens and two-headed snakes join the ranks of the bearded lady, conjoined twins, and the miniature (wo)man. Located in their own section of the circus, they would probably be happier to live a simple life,
but it is hard when you are born different.

  • J U G G L E R S ▪ The act of juggling is half concentration and half showmanship. There is no doube that to succeed you need to really have a winning personality and the ability to work the audience. Merely thowing balls in the air would not be enough to really entertain a crowd. Just how far you need to go depends on the town and the reactions around. K N I F E ⚔ T H R O W I N G ▪ A two person job, you both need a knife thrower with a steady hand and an assistant who can keep from flinching. This is one position that will be hard to fill as the Circus Mistress herself is only comfortable with taking on a personal apprentice and will not allow anyone to just have the job without learning from her directly.

M A G I C I A N S ▪ Magic is a little bit about slight of hands and a lot of confidence. While magicians can sometimes conform to other roles, magic is a specialty of theirs. In this sort of circus, it is unknown just how much magic is real and how much is simply a diversion. R O A D I E S ▪ Essential to getting the circus up and running, the roadies are responsible for literally putting the circus up. There are others like the 24-hour-man who go one day ahead of the circus to set up signs. Others still will hawk food. Mixed in are little thieves with smart hands. They may not get a headline, but roadies are always important.

  • S W O R D ⚔ S W A L L O W E R ▪ A dangerous pasttime if there ever was one, sword swallowers are favourites at the circus. Tasked with a nearly impossible feat, sword swallowers must have excellent control of their bodies and nerves of steel. This is a dangerous undertaking and there are many who have failed while learning. U N I C Y L E▪ Fun and family friendly, a unicycle rider can be daring enough to go on a high tightrope, or they might simply complete an obsticle course on the ground. This is one that is performed earlier on in the night and often set up for laughs along side the clowns.

V O L T I G E ▪ Specalized horse riding, this is a small troupe, usually marketed as a family. They perform tricks on a horse or a number of horses. They often stand on the back of the horse and perform balancing acts. The circus itself has a number of horses, ranging in size and training. O T H E R ▪ Just like the circus is large, there are a number of other jobs. The possibilities are endless! If you have an idea for something not listed, let us know; just as the circus wants to grow, so do our performers. Come on in and apply!
