What They Are
- People who have died but the souls themselves seeks redemption.
- They are human by all means just have the ability to shift into a bird, feline, or canine.
- The nature of a Grim itself (the beast form) doesn’t attack anyone except the target. They seem to either be unaware of their surroundings or just don't care.
- The human side is still human just a little emotionally detached.
- They do not live forever; once a soul has been redeemed or they are persecuted they die for good.
- The only people that can change a soul into a Grim are angels, demons, or anyone who has the right and the ability to judge souls.

Things to Know About Grims
- 1) They can't reproduce. Period. They died end of story.
- 2) They can't really feel new emotions; what made them human is sealed and around the neck of the beast. If the human is unsealed they are to be hunted and either reset or gone. Reason for this is the Grim will go mad and become a threat. (Sorry these aren't lovers.) But they can feel something just no full strong bonds.
- 3) Can not heal themselves; they are like zombies, however with no undying smell to them or rot. A healer has to fix them new.
- 4) Consumes more food and drinks more than normal. They burn a lot of energy. The beast eats meat no matter what the meat is.
- 5) Some Grims are known to only take beast form.
- 6) While they are in their beast forms they will have tribal tattoos throughout their body. A new line is added each time they go on a hunt.
- 7) A Death Knell will appear to the summoner of a Grim when it is most wanted.
- 1) They can't reproduce. Period. They died end of story.

Redemption
In order to be redeemed a soul must go through these steps. These are only to be figured out by the character themselves, and for a sin-filled soul that will take a bit. All of these are not to be told to them they have to figure it out on their own. They will be told to follow the rules and commands then they will be saved.
1) Will all together stop reaping.
2) No longer regrets; just wants to forgive.
3) Small things add up. -
Abilities
- Makes only three cries when hunting. On the third howl stops everything in their tracks no matter who or what they are. This causes a fear/death state. Anyone that isn't their target will come out of that state between 10 to 30 minutes depending on how close they were to the Grim.
- Shadow walk: can follow people or objects by using their shadows.
- Their claws will cause a wound that is not able to be healed unless this person seeks a magic healer. This can effect other Grims as well and will cause scaring.
- A weapon soul bind: if they decided too or are unable to take the form of an animal a weapon will take its place. (Decided by the player/character, and can have exactly one elemental ability.)
- Soul see: able to read souls and handle them.
- Similar to Hellhounds/black dogs/Cu Sith; however they only hunt one soul at a time and only the soul of a wicked person at that. That soul is to be brought back to whomever contracted them and the judge. From there the judge will decide their Fate.
- Contractors: be warned once you damn or ask for death to be given by a Grim you seal your fate. A small symbol, like a tattoo, is placed upon the body. The Fate of these people are always unknown after they have passed. Some seem to be rumored as new Grims.

Weaknesses
- 1) Iron will disrupt and cause the Grim to die if rammed into the body in a fatal way.
- 2) Beheading.
- 3) Losing the human soul. Whether they lost it while in beast form, it was taken, or even if it was unrightfully judged. If the soul is separated from the body the body returns to a dead state. Unless the soul is returned within 3 minutes. (Unknown why the time limit is so short.)
- 4) Opposite element will cancel or even slow them down. (Be smart about this.)
- 5) Can be trapped in regular and supernatural traps.
- 6) Liquor/drugs. They are now lightweights and they will become silly and unable to really function. Sadly it will last almost half a day
