Preamble: Some History….This Library is an attempt to preserve a lot of the various Middle Earth studies, essays, stories, fan-fictions, roleplays, and discussions that have been collected or has taken place on an old site I run called Lost Realm of Arnor. Before I started that site on Runboard in 2005, I ran an EZ Board called 'Whispering Storm' for a couple years. On May 31st 2005, EZ Board was sabotaged by a disgruntled employee who deleted all the boards and then mirrored the empty boards for their daily back-up. The owner of EZ Board did manage to recover a lot of what was destroyed by this parting individual, but there was a lot of data that was lost.
As far as 'Lost Realm of Arnor', activity there had dwindled down from a high of two dozen people in the mid '00s to just two people (me and my partner) since 2015. We use the time remaining on its ‘premium’ status as a storyboard for our collaborative writing, but being the premium status is clocked by activity, not time, that ten euros I spent in 2009 may last forever. With the host increasing the amount of the King's coin it requires to operate ad-free after 2021 and making threats to limit legacy premium status, I needed a new place to store the scrolls, parchments, and maps I have procured from various sources through the years. I have made it a project of mine to bring all the collected content here to a new home on RP Repository.
Some of the content that has been archived on Whispering Storm and the Lost Realm of Arnor had been shared across the inter-webs on various sites through the last twenty-five years, and credit is given to all original authors for their works where possible (with links, though many are no longer working) Permission is, and was at the time of its inclusion on The Lost Realm of Arnor, always sought. Sadly, too many of the Middle Earth sites that had cropped up in the lead-up to and through the heyday of the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings movies early this century have either long-since fell into ruin or are slowly decaying.
This 'Royal Library' is a repository of all things related to Middle Earth and the world that J.R.R. Tolkien had created in his writing. Everything that has come afterward has been based on these books written by J.R.R. Tolkien himself or by his son Christopher. They are all adaptations from the original. These include the animated and live action Lord of the Rings movies; the Rings of Power television series; the Lord of the Rings Online MMORPG, Middle Earth Role Playing by Iron Crown Enterprises, Middle Earth: Shadow of War, Battle of Middle Earth video game series, card games, board games, etc. All the above with the exception of Rings of Power were made possible by J.R.R. Tolkien's rights sale to United Artists in 1969.

A lot of Middle Earth Information, Stories, Fan-Fiction, Web Links, Artwork, etc can be found in the Library and it is in a constant process of updating. The Forum is open to members to write collaborative roleplaying stories together, or members can write their own fanfiction stories. There is a listing of Useful Middle Earth-related links as well. Discussions in the forum can cover all Middle-Earth inspired projects and creations, be they the written books, visual media (movies, television shows, and video games) board games, card games, fanfiction, artwork, mmorpg, etc.
If you are a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's world of Middle Earth and have a Middle Earth character, feel free to apply to join.

There is also an 'OOC' (Out-Of-Character) forum where discussions and discourse of all things Middle Earth can be shared, along with off-topic discussions and games. A Note on Applications to the group:If you apply and are declined, it means your character profile is not Middle Earth related or is not viewable to the administrators of the group. Make sure your character is not in 'draft mode' before applying. If your character says it is not available for viewing and does not say it is in draft mode, then you have blocked the founder or one of their characters and obviously will not be accepted in the group.
