The Nation of Carinae has finally arrived and with this in mind, all of the nations (possibly) in Majoria have been created. This'll open up the possibility for several new, darker plots. There are also two races currently in the workshop, here's a brief rundown of what to expect with them. They will exclusively be from Carinae, so if you wish to play them when they're ready, they must come from Carinae.
Living Plants: Evergreens - The first race, the Evergreens, are a strange race that came about due to some experiments in the country that Leafia is currently being held hostage in. In an attempt to create life of their own, they had harnessed the Nature magic from Leafia, along with Water, Earth, Dark, Life, and Cosmic magic in hopes of creating new life. They hadn't decided on a purpose for this yet, but they figured these people would have numerous uses. In order to do so, they had taken 'volunteers', two men, two women, and four children; two boys and two girls, and began subjecting them to a variety of experiments, and eventually it was a success. They retained a humanoid figure, but now shared several properties with plants. Their skins being a light, grassy green color, their eyes coming in a rainbow of colors, much like a variety of flowers. Flowers and even edible berries had begun growing on various spots, these flowers had even created a removable, clothing like skin for them. Like regular plants, these people required ample amounts of sunlight, water, and clean air to thrive in. They were similar to humans, but in comparison to them, are less susceptible to disease and poisons, have access to the Nature Magic, regardless of their relations to the ancients, have stronger Poison, Water, and Earth magic, and have the ability to morph their bodies into various plants in order to hide themselves, and for as long as they have access to water, sunlight, and oxygen, they're essentially immortal. On the downside, they're now incredibly weak to Fire and Lightning based magic, they will become weakened without a reliable source of sunlight, oxygen, and water, and their bodies in general are weaker than a typical human, being more susceptible to injury. It's unclear whether or not a hybrid with the other races is possible, as these Evergreens are often considered outcasts and looked down upon, rarely used for anything besides servants and maids. They have small villages in the various forests and around the major lakes.
The Humanoid Amphibians: Bailae - The other race is a group of amphibious humanoids, also hailing from the same country. The Bailae were created in a similar fashion, the people of the country wanted the ability to take advantage of what resources hid underneath the lakes and vast river system. Much like the Evergreens, scientists from the country had recruited some 'volunteers' and subjected them to experiments. Using a mixture of Nature, Water, Life, Light, and Cosmic magic, they were successfully able to create these creatures. They still retained a mostly human appearance, save for their blue, violet, yellow, and green skin tones, the addition of gills, a pair of sharp claws that excrete a toxin, shark like teeth, a tail, and the presence of fins on their arms and back. These creatures are capable of living comfortably underwater or above water, but due to their amphibious nature, they're often restricted to the water's edge, otherwise they risk shriveling up and eventually dying. They are excellent swimmers, natural born hunters thanks to their claws and teeth, and have a natural resistance to poison and disease, they also have rather extensive lifespans. On the downside, they aren't capable of leaving the water's edge, they have weaknesses to lightning based magic, and have weak magical abilities themselves. They're treated with a bit more respect in comparison to the Evergreens, but are still treated like second class citizens.
In addition to the two new races, the Nine Guardians are receiving a massive overhaul and will be receiving a Tenth member, so keep your eyes peeled for future updates.
