Found this cool page that explains medieval population densities and cities and things, at the bottom of the page there's even links to some automatic calculators which can tell you how large the population of your kingdom is if you set its age, size and pop density per square mile, it'll even tell you the population of your largest cities. I found it to be quite fun and useful, I'm still playing about with it since I'm not entirely sure how large Terel'Liren actually is in terms of square miles. Plus the population growth it give obviously wouldn't account for the Ageless nature of the Terelains or their much smaller than human birthrate.

Shouldn't we figure out how wide and how tall the contiguous Expanse is beforehand? It would make sure that a supposedly smaller country doesn't accidentally occupy more space than a larger one. Plus we could then accurately gauge how far each city, town and village is from the other within our own countries.
Yeah, that does make sense Should have thought about that haha. Guess we need to figure out how big the Expanse actually is.
Well since it's a continent we could always just say it's the size of Europe, that's the kind of region most medieval stuff is based on.
Well, let's decide how large the continent is before deciding nation size
Glad you find it so useful Ryhn, but I guess we really do need to figure out how big the continent is before the cool can be used properly. It'd be good though, gives us a base for figuring out our populations and stuff.
