If you'll direct your attention to the Archaia forum, you'll see a string of events inside Rayjech. Their eventual result is that Archaia has convened a council on the matter and will soon decide how to go about righting this 'wrong'. More on this as soon as I've begun my work.
The newest post is up. Archaia's fleet now stands, unknown to anyone, poised to strike Ahuachtli as a lone messenger runs before them with a message for the ears of Ahuachtli's regents alone. More updates once RP begins.
I thought it wise to let you know a few fun facts about Ahuachtli geography. Copy this link to you URL bar... >> http://sta.sh/0f4iaajj1a0 <<
To the south of the nation is a border long natural wall of sheer cliffs and mountains. This barrier of steel hard rock and ore starts below sea level and raises several hundred feet upwards. No beaches until you reach Olthain to the east of their borders and the undeclared lands thick with jungles to the west. So attacking from the south is next to impossible and not worth the cost to do any lasting damage to the Southern Wall. Not to mention that the border scouts patrolling the top of the wall would see them coming from several miles away.
The only way to get in is through the jungles of the north. And that is easier said than done, only Ahuachtlites know the safe way through. Otherwise you risk becoming lost, attacked by wild animals, ambushed by scouts, falling into The Caves or incurring the wrath of the Pantheon of Gods. And they have absolute power over anything within the nation's borders; on, above or below ground.
If anyone even manages to survive any/all of that then they would have to cross increasingly rough terrain, that is well guarded both by man and nature. After that the quickest way is through a small crevice that fits men two by two double file for almost half a mile through a narrow canyon. A canyon that can easily be blocked by an avalanche making passage through there impossible.
Still think entering and battling my nation is a smart move? My nation could wait this out for years before the first tired, starved and insane soldier makes his way through the jungles. It would be a mercy for a scout to give him the sweet release of death.
If you want to you can change your attack post to better match the canon geography that I have established. Expect divine intervention for this insult to the noble nation of Ahuachtli, the Pantheon hates trespassers with hostile intentions...

Hm. Seems the ranks of the dead will be growing quite soon. Perfect ...
I do hope that the pantheon wouldn't mind the offenders bodies to be taken off their land would they?

Anything left behind the borders of my nation that is not claimed by the owners is returned to the Wilds. Either the invading forces take their fallen with them or nature will run its course. No one else may claim anything within the borders. Sorry, you'd have to steal the corpses from the Archaian troops as they pull out of a doomed, poorly conceived and failed invasion.
That shouldn't be a problem. May as well just finish the poor bastards off anyhow. Do them a kindness and put them under new management. Besides . .Bloodwail hasn't had a good meal in quite awhile .
This... will not end well. At all.
I do hope this won't put any strain on the treaty talks between Terel'Liren and Archaia... Terel'Liren doesn't particularly like warmongers... then again if Archaia agree to leave them along I don't think Terel'Liren gives a damn who is killing who... unless is disrupts trade of course.

It'll end well for the nation of the dead. More bodies just means more soldiers, more workers... This is perfect.
The Ahuachtlites will survive without losing a single life or lifting a single weapon.
Unless of course they're attacked from within...Nah ,just saying that to make you paranoid.. .Or am I ?
Impossible. The nation of Ahuachtli is impenetrable against force, unreachable by foreign magics and the likelihood of anyone sneaking in without tripping any of the failsafes or being seen by the ever vigilant scouts is next to impossible. Ahuachtli is the safest place to be in all the Expanse.
How? Any act against the nation from within would be met with swift divine justice. After all, it is their land...
And if the inhabitants of the nation were to begin fighting one another at random? What would the pantheon do then?
Let me answer that question with another question.
Why would a nation that had previously been divided against itself that is currently happily unified under a just and fair king want to return to more pointless fighting amongst themselves?
The Pantheon, theoretically, would be be forced to show their power and unite the nation themselves. But they trust that the people who worship them are more than capable enough to stay unified then banish and excommunicate any dissenters.

Insanity is a funny thing isn't it. To think that the smallest of things could make a man go mad. Some things just don't want to be found out.
And I'm not saying any of this as a threat, just theoretical scenarios.

The people are trained at an early age to resist madness and insanity. It is part of the Trial of The Caves. Only the strong make it out of The Caves, strong in heart, mind, body and spirit make it through Training and live.
Your theoretical scenarios are beginning to get a bit tedious.
Your theoretical scenarios are beginning to get a bit tedious.
*Sigh * As it is tedious to suggest scenarios which, to every response, brings up either a deity intervention or just the people having some immunity to it.
I'll just drop this before we get too annoyed at one another.
