Background of Vulthuryal:
Founded by a thief by the name of Deevus, the ancient Dwarven city was already abandon. Deevus's gang of thieves decided to call it a home and it was soon populated by thousands of thieves who built it up. It's first true sign of civil-like actions is when it gave birth to its first Beggar Queen, Damion. She kept the kingdom in order and did what was needed to build it into the beautiful kingdom it is now. She was given a protecter by her people who was named Gareth of Vulthuryal. He served her until her death when she had given birth to Edith. Unknown how Gareth remains his age throughout the two hundred years that Damion ruled, he still protects the royal family.
Vulthuryal is known for an organisation named The Queen's Thieves or The Four Thousand Thief Army that is rumoured to be approved by the Queen! This guild has been known for outrageous crimes of theft and it's selfish human nature. This is also how Vulthuryal came to be named, The Den Of Thieves.
Vulthuryol is placed within a massive canyon from where the ancient and unknown dwarves built it. It's original purpose was to act as a brass and amber deposit for the other Dwarven cities placed far from the island. It is quite obvious that the dwarves here really did care for their mines and built it a defense system if ever to be attacked.
Vulthuryol's climate is quite strange. It's placement in the Drylands causes the summers here to be extreamly hot yet it's winters cause so many snow problems. Many of the mammals here hibernate throughout this winter and awaken in the much warmer spring.
Areas of Note:
The Palace Of Vulthuryal: sits apon the largest pillar of all, the huge home of Edith serves as a war room. Made of stone and brass, this beautiful structure has been there before Deevus's arrival. It was obviously the home of the Drwarven King, Sland The Great. It now houses Edith, Queen Of Beggars.
Shadow Stone: The kingdoms most prized possession sit in the very center of the thousands of pillars. A huge emerald founded by the dwarves, it is a sight worth seeing.
Towers Of Nazeer: these two stone towers stand at the entrance gates of Vulthuryal. They house the many guards who keep this Kingdom in shape. They also serve as the kingdoms first defence against attacks for they hold two Mammoth Catapults. A mammoth at each pult, holds down a huge rock before loading in onto its own back. A single man releases the flaming projectile before it crushes its enemies. Quite useful against large masses of attackers.
