    5’ to 10’
    Varying heights of short and tall, females typically falling on the lower end of the spectrum and men falling on the higher. That is typical, but not a rule.

    Ku’vai can have a wide range of body types. Typically slim, toned, or muscular, fuller figures and slight frames are common.

    Horns
    Draconic
    Horns are significant to the Ku’vai culture. Each set of horns represents a family line. Horn shape is passed down from the father to his offspring, the size, however, can vary.

    Ears
    Canine/vulpine
    Resembling that of wolves, fennec foxes, or jackal ears.

    Eyes
    Draconic
    Slitted pupils, sclera not visible, only iris. Has a sharp night vision and normal sight in daylight.

    Muzzle

    Wolf-like, canine teeth, and a prehensile tongue.[/b]

    Hands
    Claw tipped fingers
    Sharpness and length is up to the individual. Strong, don’t break easily. Usually black or dark brown in color.

    Tail
    Reptilian-like
    Long and prehensile, it works effectively as a fifth usable appendage. Long and strong enough to wrap around a person and lift them, if the ku’vai using their tail is large enough.

    Fur
    Short, soft
    Tends to be on the shorter and sleeker side, resembling that of living velvet. However, fur tufts can appear on joints such as elbows, the back of knees, wrists, feet, and around the face. Longer fur has a coarser texture.

    Legs & Feet
    Digitigrade; draconic or canine
    Carrying themselves on digitigrade legs, they keep their stability with wide feet, evolved to sand walking or uneven terrain. Foot-paws can resemble dragon feet or large canine feet. Equipped with claws or talons, they have the option for a fierce dew claw.

    Coloration
    Varied, but typically earthy.
    Color palettes for ku’vai skew predominantly earthy, having dark, rich tones. But while that is the standard, it is not necessarily a rule, however, their main fur colorations are that of more natural colors. Browns, black, deep reds, tans are very common. White, grey, and brighter tones are far more rare.

    Metallic
    Ku’vai blood carries sacred meaning. Each blood type carries meaning and its own magical properties. The blood varies in colors, that would be types, and is metallic. When a ku’vai is cut, they scar with the color of their blood with a shiny, metallic sheen.
    Blood Types
    Common
    Gold
    Those with golden blood are strong with a connection to the sun and tend to have a higher body temperature. Their wills tend to be strong and have a penchant to be a perfectionist. They are flexible in situations. They have a great immunity to diseases and poisons. They tend to have a magical affinity to more aggressive and masculine energies.

    Silver
    Those with silver blood are connected to the moon, feeling more comfortable in the night. They have clarity with visions, often having a gift of prophecy and psychic abilities. Their magical affinity is cool, defensive, and feminine in energy. Its essence is calming and revitalizing.

    Copper
    Those with copper blood have no true affinity to either the moon, sun, or earth, finding comfort in the balance of the world. They can shift energies, offer psychic therapy, and have an innate ability to heal themselves and others. Charismatic and shows diplomacy, they make wonderful leaders. Knowing and learning balance, they have good intuition in social situations.

    Bronze
    Those with bronze blood are more deeply connected to the earth. Grounded, resilient, and stalwart. This can be both figuratively and/or literally. They can have strong decision making skills. They can take to fighting more easily, being harder to knock over. Their magic can manifest in force, both defensive and offensive.


    Uncommon
    Rose Gold
    Those with rose gold blood are unique, sharing characteristics of both gold and copper types. Some may consider it “the best of both worlds.” Driven and strong yet reserved and observant. Charismatic and passionate, they wield magics of the mind, both healing and detrimental. There can be an air of distrust with them, as they can be manipulative. With scars, they tend to hide them, or try to, so as not to dissuade others away from them.

    Osmium
    Those with this metallic bluish-white blood come off very frigid towards others. They are cool and calculating. Often, they can be difficult to work with as when they set their minds to things, they are unwavering. Scrying and arcane are their magical affinities.

    Rare
    Platinum
    These rare blood types have outgoing, humble, and calm personalities. Known to be level headed and intelligent. They are both cunning and wise. There is a special psychic energy to them, some believing they can influence those around them. Their magic allows them to incite joy and soothe. The duality of their gifts can make them calm healers or vicious politicians.

    Titanium
    Those with this other rare blood type are powerful and energizing. Incredibly grounded, even stalwart, there is a soothing stoicism about them. Known to be combat healers or guardians, they take care of those around them. Loyalty unwavering. They can be silent types, speaking when only they find it truly necessary. They primarily use defensive and healing magic, but they are also known to shift into the shadows. Being an unseen protective force.

    Ultra Rare
    Anodized
    The anodized blood type is seen as the ultimate taboo, as it is not natural. Tampering with things such as alchemy and “evil” magics, these ku’vai have altered their blood types. Their magic is wild and at times hard to control. They carry latent traits of their previous blood types, such as their natural magical affinities and if they had visions. With the anodized type, these ku’vai can tap into other sorceries. The colors that can appear in the anodized are pinks, reds, greens, purples, and blues.


    Mutations
    Sporadic
    Due to the potent sorcery of their blood, ku'vai are prone to various types of mutations. These are things they can be born with, gained through the use of magic, or caused by a burst or shock of magic to the body. These can give ku'vai unique, and sometimes strange, appearances. Known mutations found below. More may be added overtime as more ideas and features come to light.

    No Pupils
    Eyes being a solid color,
    allows the reading of energies
    and auras.

    Found upon the forehead,
    offers psychic abilities.

    Found on the back,
    large enough for flight.
    Similar to dragon wings,
    there can be variety in
    styling.


    Feather Wings
    Found on the back,
    large enough for flight.
    Have an angelic quality to them.


    Ultra Rare
    Dual Wings
    Having two sets of wings of
    either the feather or leather wings.

    This would only count as one mutation,
    you would not need to include either
    wings in addition to this mutation.


    Lifespan
    Longer than average
    Their lifespans can be as long as 200 years.
    Ku'vai reach adulthood around the age of 20-22.
    They will reach sexual maturity at 25-27.
    Aging takes a lull, signs of age showing around 90-100.


    Reproductive
    Mammalian
    Females go into a heat once a year.
    Pregnancy is closer to ten months.
    They can lactate.
    Males are sheathed with typical canine
    anatomy. There can be draconic variations
    to their anatomy.
