    1. Claim Your Home
The first thing you should do is pick your borough. Start a thread just to flesh out the character's house or apartment. Feel free to add pictures. You can invite characters here and RP. Unlike threads created for 'a job', this one will remain ongoing.

    2. Set Up Your Front
Each character gets one legitimate business to start. It will generate a certain amount of money per month. It should also be useful for a family to own. Maybe it's a repair shop by day and a chop shop by night.

    3. Get Your Side Hustle On
Your character can also generate money with illegal activity. Maybe your character runs a gambling ring. Do they sell a little tail? Move weight? One of the most fun 'extracurricular activities' is to shake down a business. You can generate revenue weekly from these stories. That means you can post about collecting money once a week. Be realistic.

    4. Put In Work
A big part of this will revolve around posting "jobs". This is where it may get different from many RPR stories. A job post should be longer than usual and very detailed. The stories are often related to a major crime like a heist or a hit. Be descriptive and leave nothing to be assumed. If you use anything, it needs to have been RP'd in the past. This is especially true for weapons/items, vehicles and NPCs.

If you want to pull a heist, you may write a few hundred words about recruiting NPCs. You may have already written a post about acquiring a car. You each get 1 assumed weapon in your bio, but will need to RP to get others.

Maybe you started with a handgun. If you want a sniper's rifle, you must write how you got it. Each story will be judged by me as an admin. If you halfa** the story, I'll tell you to add more.

    5. Make Your Bones
So you want to be a made man? You have to do all of the above first and then 'make your bones'. That means you must pick a home, front business, and illegal side gig. Then you have to pull off a hit on an enemy NPC directed by your Boss IC. This hit can count for "the job" in item #4. You do these four things and you can be a made man. If my character has to do it, so does yours. And buddy... This is 2018. Made ladies are also allowed.

    6. Nobody Is The Boss
This ain't a place to be a he-ro. If one is too flashy, it will draw heat from the law. Expect me to introduce law enforcement characters as things progress. Players will also be able to bring in a police character to act as antagonists. Player hits may also be introduced. One will have to approach me OOC for permission to do so. The only reason this would be allowed is if somebody disrespects another family. That means you should not just casually start a fight with another group. Your character could end up diving through the Hudson.

In this thing of ours, there is always a bigger fish. Work together or you acquire ire from higher. Establish your family before you start planning war. I would also recommend leaving your Don, Underboss and Consiglieri as NPCs. Making your character a don won't give them more prestige over others. Enjoy the story of the rise to power. You can move your character up the chain as time progresses. They will get more respect that way.

Note: These rules are based on multiple mob RPs I've seen back in the glory days of Mafia RP. Every website is different. My goal is not to run this like an RPR page, but on how most mob RPs are run. The system of earning one's keep really adds to the story and gameplay.
