Welcome to the Johto Region, home of the Sakura Pokemon League.
First off, nothing like kicking it old school with our map. This is essentially the region, and I do not plan on heading further west up to routes 47, 48 and the Safari Zone, unless a character should happen to want to. These do not appear on the old maps, they are strictly the new game additions to our fair region.
Our Pokemon League has 2 of the Gold/Silver/Crystal/HG/SS league characters in the line up. They are as follows:
Will
Heliana
Takeshi Ithilethiel
Karen
Hirosha Iwamoto
The Sakura League badges have not changed from the Johto League's, but three gym Leaders have retired/passed on.
Violet City Gym: Falkner, Zephyr Badge
Azalea Town Gyme: Bugsy, Hive Badge
Goldenrod City Gym: Whitney, Plain Badge
Ecruteak City Gym: Ariana, Fog Badge
Cianwood City Gym: Kyber, Storm Badge
Olivine City Gym: Jasmine, Mineral Badge
Mahogany City Gym: Lucien, Glacier Badge
Blackthorn City Gym: Clair, Rising Badge
The Official Sakura League Elite Four building, known as the Cherry Blossom Castle, will be in the mountainous regions northwest of routes 38 and 39. The gates will be sealed to those without the Rising Badge.
There are a few places I have to fix up, but here are notes on each town:
New Bark: Nothing new, besides a few new homes and new people
Cherrygrove: The helpful old man is no more. However, his grandchildren dot the town and are rather helpful. Their mother keeps several free Pokegear cards on hand for lost/needy trainers on the road.
Violet: Sprout Tower is still in business, but there are a lot of security guards outside to prevent thefts and vandalized property on the landmark.
Ruins of Alph: Now a tourist attraction, with better gatehouses, and a tour through the ruins.
Azalea: Slowpoke Well has increased in size, allowing for a little more places to explore. Kurt has retired, and his daughter is making the pokeballs for people now out of the apricorns.
Goldenrod: The underground was shut down, and then reopened with new areas to explore in it. However, no one knows who put the money into it to allow for the expansion. The Bike Shop is bigger, and naturally the Global Trade Station and the Pokeathalon Building are there. The tower is alive and kicking as well.
Ecruteak: First city with a new gym leader, and the Kimono Girls studio still runs as always. The Burned Tower is now off limits to people. Just outside the Gatehouse to route 38, Morty has set up a Ghost Dojo for those seeking to train the pokemon of Nightmares.
Routes 38/39: Pokemon Sakura League Cherry Blossom Castle is Northwest of here.
Olivine: Nothing has changed really.
Cianwood/Whirl Islands/Routes 41,47+48/Safari Zone: Nothing beyond normal changes, Kybar has replaced Chuck. She was one of his pupils, and she did the best when he tested to replace him. Whirl Islands are still as difficult to get into.
Mt. Mortar: The Dojo King's death was tragic: This route is now a mass of fallen rocks and crumbled mountain, as Mt. Mortar collapsed in on the trainers inside.
Mahogany: Lucien has replaced Pryce. He was just a lucky trainer that managed to beat everyone in the region-wide contest for the new leader. The Lake of Rage still has its origins, and has campgrounds now.
Blackthorn: Clair still reigns, because Champion Hirosha trusted her screening process completely. The Dragon's Den council still exists, and are currently training new members for the job.
Anything else... Is a secret. Read up and learn well, kiddies.
