This list is by no means the only words you can use. This is just a guide for those who want it.

A warrior name always describes the basic, obvious qualities of the cat.
.....A warrior's name is always made up of a Prefix and Suffix. For example, the name 'Fireheart'. The Prefix in this name is "Fire," and the Suffix is "heart." As you may know, a cat's suffix changes a few times during their life-when they're born, they have the suffix "kit," and "paw" when an apprentice, and "star" if they become leader.

Prefixes
A prefix always describes a cat's general appearance. This includes:
  • colour (Red)
  • pattern (Speckle)
  • fur texture (Fluffy)
  • height (Small)
  • body shape (Sleek)
  • a mix of the above (Mouse-grey and small)
.....Most prefixes reference some kind of phenomena or object that can be used instead of the basic colours or descriptors, such as Storm, which can be used to describe a black or grey cat, or Lion, which can be used to describe a large, golden-brown cat.
.....Note that large, more noticeable details should be mentioned before small details -if a cat is mostly white with black paws, it would be wrong to give it the prefix Black or Dark-they should instead be called White or Cloud, since the cat is mainly white.
.....Prefixes should not be based on:
  • Eye colour (since cats gain their prefix at birth, with their eyes being closed at the time of naming, their prefix cannot and should not reflect eye colour)
  • Personality/skill (that's for the suffix)
Banned Prefixes

Star, Sun, Moon-associated with Starclan, and thus are not used/banned from use
Autumn, Winter, Summer-cats have their own terminology for the seasons (leaf-bare=winter, etc.)
Hammer, Brick, Emerald, etc.- human words and objects that the clans would not know/have names for
Angel, Dragon, Monster-do not exist in the Warrior cats mythos, and thus cannot be used

Suffixes
A suffix always describes a cat's skills or personality, with skill usually being considered before personality.
.....Like prefixes, suffixes can also reference some kind of phenomena or object that can be used instead of outright descriptors, such as -breeze being used to describe agile/swift cats.
.....If the prefix does not imply pattern/texture, suffixes such as -patch and -dapple can be used, like with Deerdapple and Bumblestripe, which both have prefixes that imply fur colour, but not pattern.(These can be found under "General/Patterns.")
.....Suffixes should not:
  • Be too specific (use -flower instead of -poppy)
  • Be the same as the prefix (No 'Stormstorm' or "Clawclaw")
  • Use Paw, Kit or Star if they're not kits, apprentices or leaders
Banned Suffixes

Star, Sun, Moon-associated with Starclan, and thus are not used/banned from use
