Rules

    General Rules
Please be civil and respectful towards your fellow members. If you experience any issues with other members, do not hesitate to bring it to the admins' attention so that we may try to find a resolution.
You will not be required to participate in all group events, but we do ask that that you show some activity, whether it be RP, art submissions, etc. If you remain inactive for a period of three months, you will be removed from the group. Exceptions can be made - all we ask is that you communicate with us. Please let the admins know if you will be going on hiatus or will be otherwise unable to participate.
If you are removed for inactivity, you may rejoin a month after you've been removed. If you rejoin, you will retain your progress. If you do not rejoin or we do not hear from you for a longer period of time (1 year) you will no longer be considered a member and you will not be able to retain your character progress and should you wish to return, you will have to start over.
Before using another player's character in any kind of submission (drawing, writing, etc.), please get permission from the other player to use the character for that intended purpose. Especially if it includes (but isn't limited to) situations such as major/permanent harm, pairing/shipping, or death. Please also keep their behavior in-character.
Keep things tasteful. No X-rated stuff.
The recommended age for this group is 16+ as it may contain some gore, violence, dark themes and mature language.

    RP Rules
No godmodding. You can not control the actions of other players' characters during an RP. Do not force any other players or characters into actions.
Your characters are not invincible and all-powerful. Please try, to the best of your ability, to stay faithful to the characters ability and power levels.
No metagaming. Meaning, your character does not necessarily know what you know. For example: When your character meets someone new, they need to learn about them, even if you, out of character, already know everything by reading the application information.
Understand the difference between in-character and out-of-character interaction. If a character does not like yours, that doesn't necessarily mean the other player doesn't like you. Don't take in-character drama personally.
Remember that communication is key! If you wish to RP a situation that might be controversial, ask your RP partner out-of-character first to make sure they are OK with it. Likewise, if you are in an RP that makes you uncomfortable, talk to your partner about it. No one here can read minds.
Remember that no one is obligated to interact with you or your characters. If someone turns down a request to RP with you, it could be for any number of reasons - try not to take it personally. With that said, try to be inclusive of your fellow members. We're all here to have fun together.
If you engage in an RP, try to contribute actively. Remember, you are in it together! Don't make your fellow RPers make all the decisions, control all the NPCs, or come up with all the ideas. It's by everyone putting in effort that a great story is made.
    Character Relationships/Romance
If you wish for your character to enter a relationship with another character, be sure to communicate your intentions with the other person and make sure they are up for it.
Do not try to force a ship. Do not claim characters for a ship upon sight, or first interaction. And if someone says no, respect their decision, and do not push the matter further.

    Discord Rules
The same general and RP rules apply on the Discord server as well.
The link to join the Discord server is not public. If you wish to join, please send the group a note with your Discord tag, including the number and you will be invited to the server. To be added, however, you need to either be a member or show some interest in joining the group.
We have a separate channels for OOC and RP stuff - please keep all non-RP talk, sharing of images, and so on, in their specific channels instead of the RP channels.
Group RPs on the server are not required to be open invitation. Please ask the participants of the RP before joining into the RP.
Please do not take up one of the RP channels for a one-on-one RP.

    If you break the rules
Depending on the severity of your infraction of the rules and how we can solve it, you may get a warning or a disciplinary strike. Warnings are lighter and will only lead to a disciplinary strike if you continue to break the rules by ignoring previous warnings. You will get warned twice before getting a strike. Three disciplinary strikes means you will temporarily be suspended from the group (1 month). After 3 temporary suspensions you will be banned from the group.
