We do not track the following unless a GM specifically states it at the beginning of a campaign: Carry weight/encumbrance, item/gear deterioration, food or water outside of extreme environments (see your GM for details), or hygiene. Some of these things are up to GM discretion (ie. if you try to loot two dozen tower shields and carry them through the dungeon your GM will get equally creative about what penalties that may cause). We encourage players to include things like eating, sleeping or bathing in their soft/social RP just for fun, but there's no need to track them on your sheet.
For the time being, we ask that all players restrict themselves to core races and standard races as well as the core, base, alternate, advanced and hybrid classes. Alternate racial traits will be fine so long as they are replacing something and not adding to the RP score for your character (if you're not sure what this means, please see a GM for clarification and assistance). All archetypes for the aforementioned classes are welcome.
We do not require you to "confirm" a critical success. If your character rolled a critical success the first time, then a second roll to "check" is not required. Same goes for NPCs and enemies. Good luck should be celebrated!
For casting classes, we do not require you to cast detect magic in order to know that an item is magical in nature when held in the hand or touched. If a caster picks up an item that is magical in nature we will all accept the assumption that the caster knows that it has magical properties of some kind. It is up to GM discretion to ask for a knowledge or spell craft check in order for the character to determine the nature of the magical properties. This is done to prevent what we see as redundancy in the rules and to streamline the playing process, preventing unnecessary/extra rolling. Difficulty for these checks will be up to GM discretion and depend on the character and item involved.
If your character has taken the toughness feat, they will gain +3 hit points when the feat is taken and then +1 hit point every level thereafter.
Treasure and coinage is to be divided between party members as it is picked up! The transient nature of online roleplaying means that players and characters are free to come and go as they please. We ask that parties NOT designate a "treasurer" and instead split any findings or earnings at time of receipt so that all characters are free to use as they see fit.
We're setting a hard limit of twenty levels in any given class. This does not mean that you can't use your character anymore if they hit level 20! It simply means that you must put subsequent levels into a different class or prestige class. Effectively, this means that your character's level does not have a cap, but their skills in any given class will top out at twenty.
Outside of combat (during social RP etc.) posting order and timelines are not observed.
Character Creation
Archetypes
I am tentatively allowing people to use archetypes that are created by Paizo, but not 3rd party ones. This is subject to change at my discretion.
Traits
For my campaigns you can pick two traits for free! Additionally you can select up to two more traits, however these must be offset by selecting drawbacks to offset them.
Flaws
Another option you have when creating your character is to add a flaw. To offset the flaw you will be able to select an additional feat!
Background Skills
Additionally we will be utilizing background skills. This alternate rule allows you to have two additional skill points per level, however these skill points must be used for background skills only.
Regional Feat
Once you have written a background for your character I will give you three feats to chose from, of which you are allowed to take one. This feat will reflect your character's upbringing and early life.
