Though, I do have a few questions which need answers! How do I go about planning and starting up a campaign in this group? I see many have time stamps and other things! Also, does Tim's house rules apply to all campaigns? Because that might hamper things in some of my own campaigns!

So House Rules only apply to that DM's campaigns. You get to make up your own House Rules for your own campaigns! As for how you go starting up a campaign, Aine will likely be happy to walk you through all that!

I'd love to hear more about your idea for a 5e campaign so we can get a feel for whether it would be a good fit for the player base we have. Alternatively, please feel free to hop into the discord channel and chat with the players about your ideas directly to poll them for an interest check!
As Rivine already stated, what house rules you decide to use are up to you. If you decide to run a campaign here you'll be given a spot to list them out just like the other GMs as well as a spot to store information about any home-brew or original setting you might be using.

A while ago, brilliant stars could be seen descending from the heavens towards the north upon a moon lit night. Thought to be good omens for bountiful harvests, while others thought nothing of it. But then, it started getting colder. The winds from the north are chilling. Bringing with them freezing temperatures and snow storms, disrupting the harvests of the realms.
Crops are dying, woodland creatures are freezing to death due to the new chilling temperatures. And terrible beasts from the north are starting to make their way south into new lands. Terrorizing the villages and kingdoms in the night, relentlessly roving for new and plentiful food amidst the changing landscapes. The perpetrators are obvious. The stars which fell that day are the cause of all of this. And they must be stopped.
Many travelers and brave souls have been sent north over the month to see what exactly is going on, and if they can fix it. Few come back, and those that do have failed their mission, and tell of even more monstrous creatures, and a icy demon who stalks the way through an icy pass... There is only so much food left before the village begins to starve. And the cabbage is growing too slowly to keep up with the demand. It's your turn to find out what's going on...
