Elite

    Perfection has a cost.

The quintessential chupakri, the model caste, the natural state of the species when the genome is stabilized.

The perfect genetic combination, the Elite are seen as the ultimate pedigree, a rarity among their peers and the most sought after. Used mostly as arm candy, slaves of the harem variety, they have been trained to perfection since their first breath, sold to the highest bidder and are usually compliant in every way.

Due to the intense nature of their training there are few Elite that have survived through the years. More often than not an individual will crack under the strain, becoming mentally unsound or physically mutating away from the perfection so prized in the caste in response to the stress. Failed Elites are sometimes harvested for their resources, but others see potential in the ruins.

Elite Chupakri are effectively the 'breed standard' of the species, and how closely offspring are aligned to this standard affects how beautiful other chupakri might perceive them. Unlike the Berserker and Hybrid castes, Elite chupakri are capable of breeding--and unlike the Stunted caste, any type of chupakri might be generated from them.

    GENETIC BLEND: 1 GENOME

In addition to the chupakri base.

    STABILITY - 1 (STABLE)

Stable. Elites are the pinnacle of perfection and do not suffer instability or mutative consequences that other chupakri can.

    LIKELY GENOMES

Land-dwelling mammals only. Animals known for their beauty are chosen for the final piece to these species such as arctic fox, maned wolf, side-striped jackal, jaguar, maine coon, and genetta.

Elites have the least variation of all the Chupakri. They appear to be closest to the Progenitors.

    ENCOUNTERED GENOMES

These are animals that have already shown in an Elite chupakri. (We strongly prefer that new chupakri applicants do not use animals that have already been used for their caste.)

  • CASTE STANDARDS

    REQUIRED QUALITIES

    Physical identifiers that indicate caste.
▴ Both males and females are slim, and elegant in appearance. They appear to have been made for luxury.
▴ Long, flowing tails with plush fur.
▴ Well-developed wings incapable of flight due to inherent heart issues.
    ▴ Muted, monochromatic fur patterns.
    ▴ Vibrantly colored eyes.

    POSSIBLE QUALITIES

Physical identifiers that indicate caste but do not manifest in all members of the caste. Some of these may be shared with another caste.
▴ Elites display little to no diversity in appearance outside of color and height.
▴ Certain Elites may match the caste pedigree in all ways except for one or two deformities. They are still considered Elite.

  • SOCIAL & FUNCTION

Elites are the perfect pedigree and the physical embodiment of elegance, and are therefore meant as objects of beauty and luxury. The other castes tend to venerate them, or at the very least respect them highly, and they fetch the highest value on the slave market for which they find themselves eminently suited.

    GENERAL BEHAVIOR

An Elite is raised to believe that they are better than all other chupakri, and narcissism runs through their veins as keenly as their pure genes. With Masters, they will be remarkably subservient, but in the way that a prized and pampered lapdog might be - that is to say, they are incredibly high maintenance.

    CHUPAKRI SOCIETY

Summary of how Elite relate to each other and to other chupakri of other castes.
ELITE: Equals, but also rivals. Each Elite views themselves to be perfect. How can another also be perfect? It cannot be so. But they must behave, for it is unseemly to squabble.
BERSERKER: War dogs, and nothing more. Crude and uncultured killers. They serve their purpose well.
HYBRID: Imperfect children. So very close to heaven, and yet so far. Deserving of pity.
STUNTED: An ugly reminder of what all chupakri could devolve into. Unwanted and unworthy.

    FREEDOM

Elite chupakri are likely to take up the following jobs and occupations on their own time.
    ▴ Prostitute
    ▴ Service (waiters/waitresses, bartenders, butlers)
    ▴ Actor/Actress
    ▴ Dancer
    ▴ Politician (puppet)
    ▴ Espionage

  • BODY & MIND

    HEALTH OVERVIEW

Elites are fairly healthy physically with the exception of being prone to arthritis and heart disease. Out of all the castes they are the ones who were given the most medical attention. However, because of their rigorous training and the nearly impossible expectations forced on them by the Collective, mental illness is highly common.

    COMMON DEFORMITIES

Elites do not have any natural deformities at birth. They are merely a step away from perfection. Out of all the chupakri their form is the most stable and least given to mutation.

Delta-line Elites may have small divergences from the caste standard, due to the nature of the bloodline, but these will seldom impact the visual appeal of the chupakri.

    COMMON PSYCHOLOGICAL WOUNDS & ILLNESSES

    Mental Illness
    ▴ Anxiety
    ▴ Narcissism
    ▴ Borderline Personality Disorder
    ▴ Depression
    ▴ Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
    ▴Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

    Physical Afflictions

    ▴Arthritis
    ▴Weak Heart

    BREEDING

Elites are fertile and capable of breeding successfully, but must be matched with non-chupakri mates to stabilize the offspring's DNA. Breeding with other chupakri will result in stunted or Elder Seed abominations.

The breeding of chupakri is no simple task, however, and the exact secrets for successful production of viable offspring in this volatile, artificial species are closely guarded by the Collective and its collaborators.
